Teddy, I think I'm on the same project. Is it N? I submitted my invoice on the 4th because I had invoices from other projects and I needed to get paid for them. I have just noticed that the missing days have since been added to my invoice so it looks like they are adding them but just a bit late. I'm guessing you can just do yours for the next payment run. Smile

SidVisk · 06/11/2020 11:05

@Rad2016

I know you say you wouldn't recommend it, but a weird part of me is intrigued by Arise now!

SidVisk · 06/11/2020 11:08

Actually @Rad2016 I just googled them and stopped reading after "you have to set yourself up as an LLC" Confused

TeddyDidIt · 06/11/2020 11:12

Yes it is @YonderTweek, thanks Smile

Rad2016 · 06/11/2020 11:13

It isn't that bad but it can get really frustrating. I only have it as a back up and I do make roughly £700 every two weeks as you can choose to work between 7am to 10pm. So I tend to work during school hrs and night time. You have to buy your own equipment and they don't pay you for training. I only did it because I was on maternity, the money was good but the whole system needs patience or else you will loose your mind. I have a few friends who have left and I don't blame them. We are to get a mortgage so every little helps reason I am sucking up with it. I am now just doing back end stuff so not bad. But you can always try and if its not for you, leave it. Thats how I see it

minnimiss · 06/11/2020 13:29

@SidVisk Things may have changed since I left in 2017 but yes you did need to log in fast when hours were released to get what you wanted. I also felt that I was working much more than I planned but not getting paid for it. Breaks are unpaid and you need to plan them into your day so for example book in a few hours work then a break, then a few more hours work then another break. And you need breaks because the job is stressful. So the shifts ended up being long. Also if you are stuck on a long call you are still only paid up to the end of your shift time, or if a call runs over into your break time you just lose the time. The training was also intense!

whysotriggered · 06/11/2020 18:10

@minnimiss I hate the way they take advantage like that. Obviously things can overrun but they should pay for that extra time.

SidVisk · 06/11/2020 19:01

Yes I worked in a call centre at uni and I used to work until midnight and absolutely hate the customers who called at 11:59 with a massive request.

Rad2016 · 06/11/2020 19:43

@SidVisk oh yes they advantage of people big time. Thankfully they've sorted that bit where if your call goes over they pay you. You don't have breaks so you have to book your shifts and have gaps. The whole shabbang is just wrong but I just make it work for me. I think it's because it's an American company and they treat people like shit. They are currently being investigated so they are trying to change things very quickly for the good but it's still rubbish

WotsitWiggle · 06/11/2020 22:29

I knew I should have checked on this thread before getting going on A**r, I was just so excited to have been picked!

I had really low value items, 9 orders and I've spent £148, and most of it will likely end up in the charity shop or bin. I had 5 items process in US dollars, and because I have to use their exchange rate, I lose out a couple of quid. Still, it's taken me 3 hours total to purchase, initial review and reimbursement, so depending how long the product review takes, it's still good money.

I didn't blur out my personal information on the receipts though, just did "print to pdf" to get the email receipt into a format I could upload. Next time, I'll screenshot the confirmation page instead as that saves as an image and I know I can edit those.

A load of mine had really long delivery dates, up to 8 weeks, so I need to read up on the rules, as I think you have to review everything within 2 weeks?

anxiouswaiting · 07/11/2020 09:11

Anyone else finding Am** are awful at replying? I have bought 1 item so far, stuck on the 2nd one as to whether I go ahead or skip it. E-mailed support, waited 2 days and no reply, so I e-mailed again and they replied saying they will reply to my other ticket, they haven't! So now I can't proceed till I hear from them, yet they keep sending these reminder e-mails to do your purchases, well I can't till they actually reply to me. This project seems more trouble than it is worth.

Rad2016 · 07/11/2020 09:53

@anxiouswaiting why are you stuck? What does the ad say? Have you tried chat

anxiouswaiting · 07/11/2020 10:04
@anxiouswaiting why are you stuck? What does the ad say? Have you tried chat
The advert is in another language and has a video. I click it and it says ad is unavailable. The shop button does work though and it takes me to a page with loads of dresses for sale.

I translated the ad words I could see and it basically says lots of cute pretty clothes.

Not sure if I go ahead and purchase something from the site even though the ad is foreign and unavailable, or to skip it?

If I purchase do I get to choose anything from the site because the shop link takes me to lots of items, or does it have to be a dress because it took me to a page of dresses. The ad could have been for a specific dress but I have no idea because the video won't play, although from the translated wording it doesn't seem to be specific.

YonderTweek · 07/11/2020 10:10

Anxious, maybe we can help? The chat are useful too, if not a bit busy.

@wotsitwiggle I think it's fine to leave personal details in. In the end I just sent them my order confirmations as PDF files. I asked about it in the chat and they said to only blur your details out if you're reporting an issue. I think I have a few items with ridiculous delivery times, but I think it's fine as long as you keep them updated. After 8 weeks just say you didn't receive them. Wasn't there something about having to do something if you hadn't received them within two weeks too? I can't remember. Blush

Also, are we allowed to return the items after the review has been completed? I wouldn't mind sending a few things back.

anxiouswaiting · 07/11/2020 10:16

@YonderTweek yes I did try chat a couple of times but no answer - think we cross posted, I have posted above what my issue is.

I am considering just buying something I like from the site so I can move on, but don't want to get kicked off and risk not getting paid for others.

TeddyDidIt · 07/11/2020 10:26

@YonderTweek I read it as - if you are given shopping/tracking/a delivery estimate, put that in and if it doesn't arrive within 2 weeks of that, say undelivered. For things you weren't given an indication of delivery for, it's 8 weeks. That's what I understand it to mean anyway!

YonderTweek · 07/11/2020 10:27

Ahh, just seen your earlier post. That's a tricky one! Wonder if you'd be able to skip it on the basis that the ad is unavailable? I think I'd either skip, or get a dress and mention the issue with the ad in the review. I've had a few adverts where it takes me to a shop selling various things and I tend to go for whatever is closest to the ad (although difficult in your case because you can't see the ad). I think whatever you do, just make sure you justify it in the review and include screenshots. Smile

Ahh, that makes sense. Thanks! I'm hoping all of my stuff arrives on time so I don't have to worry about this, but I just know that some stuff is coming from China and it will be a lifetime. Haha.

TeddyDidIt · 07/11/2020 10:33

Yip, I have 4 from China, 2 from the US and 1 from Australia!

whysotriggered · 07/11/2020 12:43

With this A* project, am I right to think you are paid $7 per successful purchase and review?

unicornpoopoop · 07/11/2020 13:12

I've reviewed two products but neither have saved 😩

whysotriggered · 07/11/2020 13:36

@unicornpoopoop
This is what I thought but if you refresh your screen, you may find it has saved, it worked for me and was the advice I got from chat.

AVL · 07/11/2020 13:37

@unicornpoopoop

I did one and thought it hadn't saved. Decided to close the page and go back in and it had then updated, so it had saved. Fingers crossed for you.
unicornpoopoop · 07/11/2020 15:37

Oh thanks guys! Yes that did the job!

Tattiespuds · 07/11/2020 20:43

has anyone done any work on potato today? I'm jumped on and did only surges today but the dashboard is only reflecting normal PPI. I'm sure it'd normally show surge rate. Anyone else?
