@MrsWombat I've just applied for that, I heard about it years ago (before I knew about Appen et al) and always imagined it would be boffins in a lair on an island somewhere 'programming' Google!!

seizethecuttlefish · 22/07/2020 13:24

@MrsWombat I failed Y when I first started and have never been invited to apply again but I know a few people on it and they say it's good. It's strange a friend messaged to tell me there was a new project up but it never appeared on my screen so I have no idea how A work it out.

MrsWombat · 22/07/2020 13:49

Those of you who are over 40 have mentioned projects that I'm already on. Smile There are a few other projects I've heard mention of on here and the UK project chats that I haven't and it only very recently that I've realised that there are other ones I've not seen. Just curious really. I'm going to add my pre-teen's android phone as an device to see if any more opportunities arise.

I've got access to the learning centre for Project Y but haven't been sent any details yet. Might not ever!

Katiepants27 · 22/07/2020 14:10

@Carrotgirl87

Ok I'm going to sound like a complete newbie here but I need some help 😂

Joined Appen, get to the job board, click on the (only available) task which is a welcome type task, it takes me back to login screen and tells me my password is wrong 🤯

I've reset password twice and it just happens again each time I try and open the first job!

Can anyone shed any light on this?
Thanks! X

I'm having this same problem - what was the issue??

Just seem to be going round in circles and down dead ends...

margaritasbythesea · 22/07/2020 14:11

I think iffers of projects on Appen have a lot to with your phone. I am on android and there are lots of things people mention here that don't come up for me.

I expect this also applies to social media usage. For example, there are fewer prijects if you are not on many

Wolfff · 22/07/2020 14:21

That’s a good idea. We have some old phones gathering dust. I honestly have more work than I can realistically do at the moment though. I am worried I will be left with little if my 20 project finishes though.

CrepuscularCritter · 22/07/2020 15:11

Thanks for the demographic reassurance about age, Wolfff and others. I'll crack on with trying to qualify for more projects.

tossacoin1 · 22/07/2020 18:33

When you apply for a project on Appen how long does it take before you hear from them? I have 11 active process's but have never actually got on to a project

DeegeeDee · 22/07/2020 19:30

Those on the Y project, is the access to your account intrusive? I've not accepted it as was worried it would see all the stuff in my inbox. Or can I give them any account? Have one I don't use much.

lilmishap · 22/07/2020 20:30

Interesting cw job right now, Trump related

MrsWombat · 23/07/2020 06:31

Got excited as I woke up to three emails from Appen. But I need to retake a test that was set up incorrectly, and two other projects are on pause. 🤦‍♀️

Horehound · 23/07/2020 08:55

@SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock that's me finally verified on trading 212 and I made a deposit so I think we get a free share in three business days.

@mrssnow82 I got a £4 share from free trade. What did you get?!

I have been doing agent and customer stuff although yesterday I just maxed my 10 customer limit. I'll try and be an agent today. I usually go by Samantha :)

MoreMoneyPlease · 23/07/2020 10:26

Anyone doing the FlavorWiki tastings? They used to pay quite well but now barely seem to cover the cost of buying the item!

Rad2016 · 23/07/2020 11:01

Just been accepted on the Bridgewater project on Appen. Anyone done this before?

mrssnow82 · 23/07/2020 11:19

@horehound I got a £4.60 share woohoo! Thanks! :)

OP posts:
Wolfff · 23/07/2020 12:13

@Rad2016

It looks like a short one off. I have done a similar project before. Straightforward.

Rad2016 · 23/07/2020 12:18

@Wolfff thanks very much. Will keep an eye for any updates. Am hungry for some cash. We buying our first home so every little I can add helps

seizethecuttlefish · 23/07/2020 12:57

Anyone done the voice recording in TeemAI? Was it easy enough?

Wolfff · 23/07/2020 13:04

@seizethecuttlefish

I have done a job for them previously and there were issues with accessing the tool. Apart from that, they were extremely professional with good comms and the job itself was easy, clear instructions and good pay.

Gatekeeper · 23/07/2020 14:05

if anyone is a customer today I am Julia Wink

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 23/07/2020 14:46

I've applied for a couple of TeemAI things and did tests for one recently. How on earth do I find out if I've been accepted? Should I be emailed or what?

seizethecuttlefish · 23/07/2020 16:01

@NewModelArmyMayhem18 I just got an email for this but they're looking for specific accents. I worked for them under their old company and they were good. I think it's like everything else, you just sit and wait and wait and wait....Confused

Mrsm010918 · 23/07/2020 16:48

Had a productive week so far!

Completed all the healthcare and auto validations Neevo would allow me before it shut. Missed out on a lot of the CW jobs as they won't load on my phone and my toddler was being too needy for me to sit on my laptop.
Did get £40 from having a bit of a house clearout though

MoreMoneyPlease · 23/07/2020 16:51

@Mrsm010918 CW jobs won't load on my phone either. Apparently it's a known problem but they can't fix it!

Horehound · 23/07/2020 18:31

Hi for anyone doing calls on Neevo as an agent...is there a tracker for each job or do I just send one tracker with all my time and calls for each job on the one spreadsheet?
