I just checked and mine was also closed due to work standards. That's the judging what other people had written. I don't think this can be true I was meticulous!

Baby89 · 11/07/2020 12:28

@Horehound did you also get the same feedback as me, it’s really shocking as the assignment was very confusing and the guidelines were not very clear

lynsey91 · 11/07/2020 12:31

*@Wolfff * oh not good. I haven't been working quite 2 weeks yet so not that worried but just wondered if others have the dashboard.

I don't want to keep sending them emails so will wait a bit longer. As long as all the work is being recorded it's fine

WonderTweek · 11/07/2020 12:47

Oh dear. That's not good about being marked as low standard. It must be a glitch with the marking task, because some of them aren't even proper commands (more like gibberish) and therefore easy to mark as invalid. Hmm I keep checking mine and it's still ok but I think I'll take a break and see if I get the same message. I don't want to do loads and then realise my work hasn't been up to scratch.

Horehound · 11/07/2020 13:12

I know. As if we were meant to know reply_body meant they wanted either us to say "and the reply of the body of the email should say blah blah blah
I didn't get an actual message when the job disappears but I see it in my work history saying job closed due to low work standard.
Honestly the work of other people i judged was bad so I imagine a lot of people will get closed from that job. Then they will need to review why that happened and oh, it's because their instructions were not clear at all! I mean we had to pass a qualification so we aren't imbeciles!

I haven't a clue what the Neevo email phrases is on about Blush!! Going to have to leave this one as I am so confused Confused

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 11/07/2020 16:44

Me neither @Gatekeeper. I can't access the 'flip side' activity (it's telling me it's not available even though I was invited to do it late last night!) which might otherwise have helped me understand what was required.

Februarycat · 11/07/2020 17:51

I did 116 on the text variant validation and just looked and it's now saying work did not meet standard. I can't see how they could all be wrong when some were just numbers or made no sense so it was obvious they were wrong

WonderTweek · 11/07/2020 18:01

I have done a ton of those text validation things and I can still do them, but now I'm paranoid that I'll get the same message later. Confused I don't know what to do. I don't really want to do the other text task because it's confusing and even more likely to go wrong. Hmm.

Radders23 · 11/07/2020 18:35

I am doing my first Neevo task and it is this variant thing! Super confusing and I'm convinced I'm doing it wrong as a lot of the sentences are gibberish? Currently on 36 tasks!

Radders23 · 11/07/2020 18:36

Hah! One of the sentences that has come up is 'Send an email from me to all my contacts with the subject Silly Task and the message You seriously expect me to randomly create an email message of at least 30 words for 10 cents? Nah pal'. Guessing this is paired with writing task?!

WonderTweek · 11/07/2020 18:40

@Radders23 That is funny! Grin

Anotherdayanothernight · 11/07/2020 19:04

Glad I am not the only one being confused, gave it up as the instructions were so vague, can anyone enlighten me?

Baby89 · 11/07/2020 19:54

@Mrsm010918 , just wanted to ask is prolific usually busy, I’m new to it and found that I had very less surveys this week.

Horehound · 11/07/2020 20:13

Haha that task response is amazing.
I was doing ones about Metallica lol

Radders23 · 11/07/2020 22:10

i've given up now too!

Back to 20Cogs! Seems all I get are the same offers on every cog. I don't want half the things but I want to cash out. Anyone have any ideas?

Mrsm010918 · 11/07/2020 22:15

@Baby89 it does have slow times and then some days I get several studies through. Last month I think I had aboutv£30 from it altogether

bluelefant · 12/07/2020 07:07

I was stopped after I've done about 40 validation tasks on Neevo.I can still do writing but I don't think I will!So confusing and not worth the few cents they pay.

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 12/07/2020 07:50

If I think I've got a handle on the writing task (which I didn't when I attempted the few I did yesterday), they are not worth it for $0.6.

Tootsietoes · 12/07/2020 08:40

Hi, I'm looking to get started with this. Just looking at Appen as it seems to be decent amount for most of you.
I see on their site it states there is a qualifying exam which is difficult. Anyone she'd any light on how difficult I should expect it. I've been a sahm for a few years now and thinks my brain has turned to mush.

I want to get started with aim of £200-250 per month and increase as I get into the swing of it.

Wolfff · 12/07/2020 09:00

@Tootsietoes

There is no generic qualifying exam for Appen. Some projects have qualifying tasks which are basically absorbing pages and pages of instructions. They are not generally difficult, just a bit confusing. Some don’t have any.

Your earnings potential depends on being assigned projects. This is very hit and miss and some people get very little work from them, so you can’t necessarily predict earnings.

I concentrate on Appen, which has worked out for me as I got an hour a day project straight away. That was a year ago and I have another long term project on the go. Though I can’t predict how long it will last.

I also signed up for Crisp (though I do just enough not to be kicked off) and all the others such as the survey sites, which I use as a back up in case my Appen work dries up.

Tootsietoes · 12/07/2020 09:09

I think I tried crisp a few months ago, is that the one with the test and they email you when works come up or something. I did that and never heard anything my application.

I wonder if I'm in the wrong part of Appen...im just at the page for registration and stopped as its asking for a CV and I don't have an update one. I had a nosey at the faqs and seen this....

Wolfff · 12/07/2020 09:23

Assuming you're on Appen Connect I think that's out of date.

Your CV doesn't have to be perfect. I put a new one together in a few minutes.

They don't take up references or anything like that.
