Also any clickworkers out there, what did you put for this

I am commercial and / or freelance no
European sales tax-identification number (UID)

I got a payment into my paypal then they took it back!! I’m wondering if this is why
Thank you

Fiftysix · 09/07/2020 10:32

Can any clickworker advise? I have a low personal income so dont pay tax, do I say I'm self employed or freelance professional? I dont want to confuse the system!

@SNISR I'm worrying I've had Two calls that were 3.50 and 3.45 Confused

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 09/07/2020 12:50

No I haven't either @Whatsmyname2019

I haven't got any of my CR money yet as I didn't know which option to tick...

margaritasbythesea · 09/07/2020 13:17

Just been added to S*da on Appen. Delighted! Is anyone else on it?

Gatekeeper · 09/07/2020 14:18

I have margarita but I can't get the rating tool to work yet

Horehound · 09/07/2020 15:33

@lilmishap is this one on Neevo? The calls in a noisy or quiet environment? I filled out the survey then not heard anything :s

seizethecuttlefish · 09/07/2020 15:48

I'm on it. Been on it about 6 weeks. It's easy, if a bit boring. Took about 2 weeks to get the tool but I always get my full amount and it's consistent.

Horehound · 09/07/2020 16:16

@Whatsmyname2019 I said No to the first question and then I put my national insurance number in. That's the UK version of UID.
Hope that's correct but when I saved it my NI number doesn't appear.
I have emailed them to check.
Is anyone on clickworker doing the hitapp about whether a query is unintelligible? I have only done half the qualification because I kept getting the answer wring, except it's not wrong! It's like their answers don't match up to the correct question. :S

NewModelArmyMayhem18 · 09/07/2020 16:35

@Horehound that hitapp isn't working at all.

WonderTweek · 09/07/2020 16:57

Oh yeah, the HitApp isn't working for me either. I also did the racy/clean content qualification thing before and it failed me even though I'm sure I was right - had some technical issues which meant it kicked me out. Hmm I'll give it another go but I'm sure I'll fail.

MrsWombat · 09/07/2020 17:07

New project for Appen. Ac*. I swore I wasn't going to do any more transcription work for Appen but I got persuaded by the words 10-15 hours a week for 9-12 weeks and despite my best efforts I passed the test. I think it will go well with the school holidays and screaming children.

Wolfff · 09/07/2020 17:11

It says that Ac is only $10.80 an hour though. Why is it paid less than the others, seems more difficult of anything.

MrsWombat · 09/07/2020 17:18

@Wolfff I asked this on my previous transcription project and someone said it's because we just have to type and not make any decisions. Hmm I would say it's because typing is traditionally women's work and lower paid. HmmHmmHmm

MrsWombat · 09/07/2020 17:20

Having read the email now it says that although the test says we've passed we've still got to be selected manually from the highest scorers so I'll hold off celebrating for now!

ifuckarses · 09/07/2020 17:54

Am I being thick return Ac*? I'm doing the qualification and some of the questions aren't covered in the guidance (like audio tags). I've never done transcription work for them so not sure what they want!

Horehound · 09/07/2020 17:58

Thanks for confirming @NewModelArmyMayhem18 and @WonderTweek.

Also @WonderTweek that clean racy one three me off permanently which I think is a blooming joke because I was doing it to the letter.
I actually think the people creating these can't be arsed and aren't doing it properly for us to match with their judgement! Grin

Horehound · 09/07/2020 18:01

In other news I joined prolific a few days ago and have £20 in my account. I got a £13 one because I had to video me and my son having brekkie :) that was easy!

Whatsmyname2019 · 09/07/2020 18:07

Thank you @Horehound I might do the same
@NewModelArmyMayhem18 I emailed them they said it’s just how it can be ,!

WonderTweek · 09/07/2020 18:34

@ifuckarses I wondered about the tags too but there is a link in there that will take you to a comprehensive list of all tags etc. Did you find it? There's two links in the instructions, one for spelling and one for tags. I was all pleased with myself because I felt like I bossed the transcripts and the multiple choice test, but the actual audio clip ruined me and I gave up. It was really interesting but I could see myself struggling with it and I probably wouldn't do a very good job so I left it. I'm slightly disappointed because I really want an Appen project. Grin

Prolific is amazing but I miss out on so many studies and it gives me the rage. But when I do get one done I feel like a winner. It's a rollercoaster of emotions!

Mrsm010918 · 10/07/2020 06:06

Tried the quiz for A*n, failed miserably on the audio clip at the end lol. Just could not get what was being said with the accents.

Gatekeeper · 10/07/2020 07:27

me too- it was too muffled for me to understand

MrsWombat · 10/07/2020 07:50

Ac* For the muffled bits I just put lots of &&&& in. Even with headphones on, my kids just kept screaming. GrinGrin

Tinging · 10/07/2020 08:12

@Mrsm010918 me too, the audio quality was terrible and they spoke so fast. Spending ten an hours a week trying to decipher that would be awful!
