Isn't it odd, @Catatemyhomework that we are working on the same site and could be on the same projects, or could be on completely different projects. We might even have talked to each other on the forums or chat boards and don't know it

I've had a good UTest day. A flurry of accepted issues (and some rejections ) and I've submitted 5 bugs today.

I was invited to do the latest appen project but I'm not sure if I'll do it or just stick with what I'm doing.

@Lougle, yes it is funny. I often wonder if there's anyone on there I know! . I discovered for the first time on UTest today that you can check your stats. I hadn't realised that before!
I had a nice message from the TTL about my test case so that was nice to have. It wasn't particularly high paying considering the blood, sweat and tears but I will hopefully get some issues approved from it. I am taking a break now though as I have been looking at logcats all afternoon and am really tired.
Are other people on here finding Appen really quiet? I still haven't heard a thing about the projects I have been accepted on. The Neevo tasks seem to have dried up now and UHRS on Clickworker had nothing last time I looked. I think I might do the same as @Lougle and concentrate my efforts on UTest as I do like it and I feel like I am learning new things, although it can be frustrating at times!

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you. I've been lurking for a few months and managed to make a few hundred pounds so far which has made a huge difference to my life. I'm starting to see a dent in my credit cards and to be honest its helping me get a handle on my depression and giving me something positive to think about.

Is it sad that I enjoy the prolific surveys? UHRS is good too as its a bit different but its a pity theres not much consistant work there.

Thanks for all the information on this thread everyone. I'm in a vulnerable position financialy after a couple of bad months and reading this thread in the last few days has given me hope.

I've signed up for Clickworkers and passed the English assessment yesterday and just submitted the author assessment so fingers crossed. Already earned a few pence from a (very tedious) survey so at least I'm off the starter line.

Joined uTest and I've done the first academy test. I've just tried logging back in but the site seems to be having some issues.

I'm interested in Cloudworkers and currently have the registration page up but it's asking for a Skype name and my ancient old laptop is Vista so can't download it. I do have a refurbished laptop coming in a week or two running Windows 10 so should I hold off or can I start without Skype? I would only want to do text based work anyway so is Skype necessary for that?

I've joined Fiverr and have an idea to pitch on there but again it will be Skype text based so waiting on that.

I'm really interested in Appen and more so in Rev as I'm fascinated by subtitles/captioning (HFA) and would learn how to do that for fun but again waiting on the 'new' laptop. Thank God for charitable people that give away their old equipment to low income people. I could never progress far as current LT very temperamental.

I'll take up one of the trader/share links once I have all my March bills paid next month too. Had to pay £45 for a new tyre today after suffering a 1" gash somewhere this morning so every spare penny is eaten up for this month.

My mobile is iP5 so doubt I can sign up for any app type work as a lot of apps just don't download (do I need a phone app for the share thing or can I do that on my laptop?).

@DarkPassenger, you've come to the right place. There are lots of very knowledgeable people on here who can point you in the right direction but it sounds like you've already made a great start. Have a look at some of the links @Otterses posted on page 1 of the thread as that should provide some opportunities. Also, UTest is down tonight. They are working on the site. I had forgotten and was working on something earlier and everything disappeared. Hope I get it back!

@DarkPassenger regarding cloudworkers. Skype is just used for the training which is text based. So if I was you I would set a Skype ID up so you can input it on your initial application, get your application sent off and then just sit back and wait. I am confident that you will have your laptop before any training starts but at least this way you will be in the queue. Their are a few people on here still waiting to hear back from them so I would get your application in as soon as you are ready.

Found this thread yesterday and have been inspired! I work part time from home and at the moment, work won't up my hours and health-wise I can't do something office based, so hoping this will top things up a little.

wow, everyone has been busy. I'm slowly getting my head around match betting although once you get passed the easy stuff, then it seems to get even more tricky . Am sure it will all make sense at some point. I haven't had the chance to look at utest again, I think I need some solid time and just not had it lately. @DontCallMeDarling I'm glad I'm not the only one to find MB gets more complicated. I've done quite a few welcome offers which have been fine and am getting reload offers which seem to be for ACCAs/certain scores/2up etc 😬 And reading the Team Profit FB page (not the newbies one) is like a different language. I'm up about £350 so far though so will keep going!

@MoreMoneyPlease and @Don'tCallMeDarling, you're not alone with the MB lingo. I haven't a clue. I still have a few new customer offers to do but had some reload offers, which I'm ok with if it's bet X get Y but they rarely are that easy. I still haven't got my head around ACCAs and had hoped I'd be match fit by now but I still need to research it. I've been spending time on UTest to try and get some solid bread and butter work which is regular and reasonably reliable and have neglected MB lately. It's hard to know what to focu on and where to put all your efforts though.

Are any u testers allowed to say how often they pay? Is it monthly or as and when stuff gets approved?

I've had a bit of a frustrating time with uTest over the weekend. I was invited to three projects. I seemed to be a last minute substitute for two of them but there wasn't a slot available at all for one of them and a slot only appeared at the last minute for another one with not enough time to get registered before the deadline. The other was a new project which is right up my street but I can't get the app to install on my phone. On the bright side the 5 week UK project has started so I'll be doing that today after the school run.

@girlicorne It's fortnightly, end of month and middle of the month. When things get approved seems to vary as I think bugs needs to be approved from the client. I think test cases might be approved by uTest staff as I often get a flurry of them approved just before the payment deadline.
