Once you deposit your £1, you will get a free share within a couple of days (think mine came through in a couple of hours). After a certain amount of time has passed, you can then sell the share and withdraw your funds (including the £1 you deposited).

I haven't been as lucky as some, I've got £25 worth of shares on 212 and £4 on freetrade, but that's still £29 more than I had at the start of the week - that's almost 10% of the first debt I want to pay off! (trying to think positive haha)

I'm sorry I'm so thick with this - So what do I do now? I've done my £1 deposit, shared my link (👆🏼) do I have to pick something to invest in now or do I wait for someone to use my link?

@thelolamontez You can either choose to invest your £1 or leave it there as 'cash'. At some point soon you'll get a notification saying your free share is on it's way (from the link that you used to sign up). If anyone uses your link, you'll also get a notification telling you that someone has used it, and again that your free share is on it's way. When they allocate the share to you, you'll get another notification and you'll be able to see who it's with/how much it is etc in your dashboard.

So presumably it's not guaranteed to be that amount I withdraw at the end? As the shares can go up/down?

@TheLolaMontez correct, but the app updates live with the share prices so when you opt to sell it you'll know exactly how much you're going to get

@TheLolaMontez a few days, I set mine up on Monday or Tuesday and was able to sell this morning. If you try to sell you'll get a notification telling you it's locked until x time
