Just did my first field agent thing. Was OK with taking photos and answering the questions then buggered up doing the video. And 2 members of staff stacking shelves asked me what I was doing taking photos so I left quickly. Not sure whether it's worth keeping it up.

@Wildthyme I did one of those tasks today. You might get paid for it as they are pretty relaxed about people getting things wrong.Field agent will always ask for a one minute video which I hate too. If that is too much for you to be comfortable with then stick with BeMyEye or Roamler as you would never have to do a video with them.

Either way you tried and that is the main thing, I do hope that you don't give up but ultimately you have to be comfortable and happy to continue forward doing mystery shopping tasks.

I highly recommend UTest if you can get over the hump of being a newbie. Without talking specifics, the amount I earned in the second 2 weeks was 4.5 times what I earned in the first 2 weeks. 2 days in to the 3rd 2 weeks, I've earned ⅔ of what I earned in the 2nd 2 weeks.

DH wants to join in on a couple of the sites, anyone know which ones have rules about people from the same IP address joining up? I don't want to risk being kicked off but I can't find anything in the terms and conditions.

My tips as a newbie (but not significant sums) - use shoppix and snapmyeats for Amazon vouchers. I'm sure these have probably been mentioned, but I find there is lots of posts and I can only dip in and out

Field agent accepted my task and have paid me. Quite pleased with that. I did the video outside in a very quiet part of town so if they'll allow that, I'll keep up with it.

I've got BeMyEye and will be tackling that tomorrow. I've noticed that my local supermarket is on both apps but different tasks so will do both together.

Just done another "relationship" advice thing via Fiverr, in all honesty it was edging towards the realms of seedy and gross. I logged out of the call before the end because it was too much for me

(This was an audio call btw but he had his video on) - he wanted encouragement to fiddle with himself more than advice 🤮 no thank you!

@Wildthyme I am so happy that you got paid for it. You kind of fluked that because you really need to do the video in store so be aware for next time or you might not get paid.

Try not to get flustered when staff ask you what you are doing. Thousands of people go into shops day in day out taking pictures of stuff for all sorts of reasons not just mystery shopping. Headphones work well in your phone as most would assume that you are on a FaceTime or phone call if you want to blend in a bit when doing the 1 minute video.

Keep going with it and your confidence will grow job by job.

You could probably make a small fortune letting them 'fiddle with it' while you chat, ask them if they're wanking, tell them off, call them names or pretend to be oblivious.

Men will pay obscene amounts for any old shit if it involves them wanking when they shouldn't be.

LOL! you get over that!! Oh god I sound like I'm encouraging it, I've done allsorts of weird online/phone sex based stuff so it's been a while since I felt grubby, it reaches a point where you almost feel sorry for them for being so desperate.

It does change your view of men though, after a while.

It sounds desperately sad, tbh. I once watched a documentary on it and women were doing things like repainting their kitchens, going for walks, etc., and saying 'goo on then....yes, that's it....keep going, ooh you are naughty...' and all the time the men thought they were 'keen' they were actually just doing their every day activity. How lonely must you be want that?

@Tohaveandtohold I was on my laptop for 2 days and didn't notice the 'invoice' 'ledger' bar! I was kicking myself, I actually sent a support request because I couldn't work it out!

@Lougle Years ago I was doing this stuff and I'd advertise 'reading the paper', most men knew that I was not offering a service for visually impaired men but some men thought I was genuinely offering a read the newspaper service and would phone daily, they thought I didn't notice the panting and if I mentioned it, they'd deny it and hang up!

It's sinister if you think about it too hard but I was told it's the 'thrill factor of being a loser' and 'feeling like you've got away with something disgusting'. Even though they hadn't got away with anything. Therein lies the thrill. They're weird

@lilmishap you sound like a veteran lol. I have done the phone calls and had to stop as the stuff I was hearing. However I am happy to do the cloudworker thing (messaging non verbal) so if you have any other suggestions I am all ears :-)
