I haven't filled in a tax return yet. When I do I intend to treat my income from Appen, prolific etc as one self-employment and put one figure for all the income received in UK pounds. I don't think you can put dollars in an SA tax return.

I have details of income received on an excel spreadsheet if they ever ask for it, which is fairly unlikely.

@mrswombat I did mine last year and did it as @Wolfff says. I put all my income that I'd been paid up until the end of the last tax year into a box, said I was a 'freelancer' and that was pretty much it. You can deduct an entrepreneur amount of £1k off before you get taxed (or you can go down the route of claiming different expenses but that seemed easier). My friend who is an accountant sat next to me for support, but it was actually quite straightforward.

Meant to say, I did it all in £, just converted any $ or € payments.

The forest project has finished before it even fully started. Wow! After spending so much time on reading the guidelines and doing the test, I made $56.

hi thanks for sharing some advice and your experience. Just from your recommendations I've tried Honeygain app - www.honeygain.com and the bonus code "forumbee" really worked. I typed it when registering and my new account was already with 5pounds. I'll try to explore other ways how to get money online

@girlicorne yes perhaps although I can't access the platform anymore, internal error. The pay was so poor though really so I kind of hope I have been kicked out. That way it saves me from myself as I begrudge working for so little money yet still carry on because I need money lol

Has anyone had any joy with the any of the Appen M**w Telephony projects? I got accepted ages ago and when I click on the 'work this' page I just get '504 Gateway Time-out' error message. Earlier I was able to log in and see the dashboard and my hopes lifted but not anymore. Just wondered if anyone else has had any luck actually doing work on this project?

I ve been permanently disabled from my favourite hit app on UHRS I had 100% accuracy tonight as well I am so annoyed!! It’s like they don’t want good raters as they ll have to pay us. Another one to bin.off I think!

I had the same @girlicorne. It was the only one that seemed worth the effort, but I got permanently disabled too. I'm not interested in the other ones and there only seem to be 1 or 2 hits available on them anyway, so I'm not going to bother taking the test for potentially no work. There is just nothing out there at the moment.

@otterses. Do you happen to know if you get kept on for more than a year on Appen Truckee. I've had an email which extends my time til July. Just wondered if they'd let me keep going!
