Should add most of the jobs are $14 dollars an hour which isn't bad at all. I haven't done any for less.

devonport12 · 30/12/2019 14:32

@Dontcallmedarling Supahands want you to send bank details and gov id..after a bit of research it doesn't seem worth it.

lilmishap · 30/12/2019 14:50

My bad sorry I didn't word it very clearly. It's £7 something for 60 phrases and more if you can get other people to do it by claiming a login for them and sending it to them.
I just did it in about 15mins, easy enough.

Ooh Neevo payment just came in for the Aussie one!

lilmishap · 30/12/2019 14:53

Is anyone here on Lionbridge? I just signed up, Google tells me the test(s) is/are nigh impossible, which is always reassuring!

Also signed up for figure-eight if anyone has any info?

margaritasbythesea · 30/12/2019 15:00

Hopping in as I fell off over Christmas. I hope you all had a lovely time.

Really happy to be back on the thread. I just started back reading and I really like the way people can say what worked and what didn't and why, what they failed and what they passed. It's so encouraging that people are making decisions based in wgat suits them and are not being put off by setbacks and gelpibg out others.

I think this thread is really special for that spirit.

margaritasbythesea · 30/12/2019 15:01

And perhaps for not munding horrible typos.... Grin

margaritasbythesea · 30/12/2019 15:01

O ffs Hmm

seizethecuttlefish · 30/12/2019 16:04

@lilmishap I tried the Lionbridge test and it was torture. You have a set time period. I think it was 5 days to study and practice and 2 days to sit the test. I found it absolute torture. When I failed they offered me a chance to resist and there was no way I was attempting it again. The other thing is that if you fail, you don't get invited for anything else. It was so over 100 pages of guidelines!

DontCallMeDarling · 30/12/2019 17:28

@lilmishap @seizethecuttlefish

I am on the equivalent project for their competitors, I studied ALOT for the test, passed it and yes it was hard and at no point did I feel confident! And now I am on it there is never any work despite it always saying high amount of work!! Feel very disappointed and hoping it will pick up soon before I get kicked off for failing to meet minimum work.

Tohaveandtohold · 30/12/2019 19:10

@DontCallMeDarling, are you allowed to name the competitor?
@lilmishap, I failed the last lionbridge test. It was so painful as I really spent a lot of time studying for it and I passed the first 2.

DontCallMeDarling · 30/12/2019 19:22

It's the one always mentioned on here!

AliciaWhiskers · 31/12/2019 10:00

Happy New Year to everyone. Let's hope it's lucrative for all of us! Smile

AliciaWhiskers · 31/12/2019 11:53

@GachaBread amazing totals! With the cloudworkers how many messages do you send per day?

SpirallingThroughAnotherDay · 31/12/2019 12:01

@ZetaPuppis quite pleased it's not just me then! I've been sending in ones I'm not quite sure about and getting replies with good feedback within a day or so which has helped lots (I'm definitely overthinking it!) I've been moved to phase 2 today and I'm finding it much easier, I think it's finally starting to click with meGrin

Whatsmyname2019 · 31/12/2019 12:16

@SpirallingThroughAnotherDay I’m overthinking too and just started on phase 2. Have you ventured into Mod2? Are you still sending your unsures?

MynameisJune · 31/12/2019 12:26

@SpirallingThroughAnotherDay I’ve been moved onto phase 2 today as well. Once I got feedback on my unsure ones it started to click on what they’re looking for.

GachaBread · 31/12/2019 12:36

@AliciaWhiskers I aim for 300/400 messages half in the morning half at night

lilmishap · 31/12/2019 12:42

Rev.com £55.30
Neevo £233
Prolific £26 (£10 still to be paid)
Panelbase £10
Isoft £20 (still to be paid)
UTest $15
Usertesting £16
TOTAL £379

£409 from Appen but I daren't count that after last months invoice fiasco.

In other news I have no bailiffs to deal with or arrears to stick my head in the sand about and savings for the first time in my adult life. (well £90 is a start!)
All hail Otterses!

ZetaPuppis · 31/12/2019 13:22

Oh wow I’ve been moved to phase 2! So thrilled Smile

ZetaPuppis · 31/12/2019 13:25

To those who got a chrome book for Crisp, could you help me out with a couple of questions please -
I’ve just been moved to phase 2. Is it worth getting one now or should I wait a bit longer?
Is getting a cheap one good enough?
I don’t want to spend too much on one.

I’m fed up of my laptop as it’s so slow anyway.
Thanks
