Merry Christmas everyone! I was paid yesterday by click worker which was a lovely surprise. I received 23 euros into my paypal but I'm due another 50 in the next few weeks. I noticed paypal are taking a decent chunk, are they the best way to convert or is there an alternative? and would I get a better rate if I waited until I receive the rest of the money they owe?

Haven't been around for a couple of threads but I have been accepted onto Nile! (Only 10 months wait!) Can hardly believe it but typically, this is my first week of rating (done 4 days) but am going away tomorrow until next Monday and won't have internet access on a PC and I'm on the PC tool- I will miss out of this week by one day unless I get up at 4am tomorrow morning. Does anyone know what will happen? Will they kick me off? Or just off the first week? Gah. Anyway, I'm still thrilled- I was (and am) the one with 38 Appen thingies "in progress" but nothing ever came through until now, so I might even get up at 4

Saw you were talking about transcription work- I work freelance as court transcriber for various lawyers here (Italy) yet failed both TakeNote (twice) and Rev so have given up. I thought it would be a doddle, especially as I already do it, but there's clearly a difference between how I do it for the courts, and what they are looking for- you don't get any feedback either to find out what it was you did wrong. I finished the TN about 15 minutes early and I KNOW it was correct grammatically etc, so it must be the formatting they want that i didn't do.

I received the Neevo email but haven't looked at it.

Anyway- off to watch crappy telly, and just wanted to wish you all a merry Christmas and say thanks again to Otterses and everyone else for keeping us going, and finding all these great opportunities for us.

Finally got myself a Chromebook so I can work on Crisp easier now. I don’t find it that hard at all really. The ones I find most ambiguous are the pro-ana type body ones.

@MynameisJune I invested in a chromebook when i started back in May, best purchase i made! Plus it's already paid for itself :D

ohtooooodles I’m fortunate that DH and a small Christmas bonus paid for mine. I think DH is just happy I’m earning money now my mat pay has run out.
