Sorry forgot to tag you @Fizbo in the post below

My Appen 20 hour project isn't too bad now i'm getting into it. As far as I can tell you only have to do a 10 hour minimum a week out of the 20 hours available. So if you pass the test give it a try for a couple of weeks to see if you can get your head around it all. A lot of the tasks are of a similar theme so once your head is in the game it's not too bad as you will be clicking the same buttons.

IsolaPribby · 11/11/2019 17:26

Just passed the Crisp test. Yaay! Grin

Now on the waiting list, so I guess I have to wait!

Have also applied for Appen. So more waiting.

Buster27 · 11/11/2019 17:31

Got started on one of my 20 hour projects today too (only done 1 hour so far but hopefully get a few more in tonight). Off to a slow start - but over their minimum target - but was definitely speeding up towards the end as I got familiar with things. Only problem is I don't know if I'm actually doing it right (much like the test) so who knows if I will be booted off for inaccuracy Grin

CatHopeful · 11/11/2019 17:52

I managed to fit in a couple of hours on the Appen project today. I'm pretty certain I've got some wrong, as I'm not finding the classification intuitive at all. Really hoping that any feedback comes in promptly, as I don't want to waste hours only to find any invoice won't get approved.

SpockPaperScissorsLizardRock · 11/11/2019 17:53

Not fair, i want to get started!

DontCallMeDarling · 11/11/2019 17:53

Me too, off to a slow start, scared I'm messing up and some are plain difficult to know what to do with!

Starlight2004 · 11/11/2019 18:33

Yes I'm hoping for feedback soon, my questions in chat seem to go unanswered which I'm thinking may be a tome-zone issue, if I working when there's no one official online to help me. Would be a shame to be booted off for inaccuracy. I'm certainly picking up speed though!

lannister · 11/11/2019 18:36

Thanks @Tohaveandtohold I have used yours. Mine is stocks.getbux.co.uk?kid=13X0HK

Frenchdoors1 · 11/11/2019 18:44

Is Payoneer the only way that you can get paid by Appen.

They want my ID - passport, driving licence or ID with photo on.
Well. I don't drive, my passport has expired (and I won't be renewing it yet) and I certainly don't have picture ID, isn't that just for the youngsters to show there above 18, 21yr old!
So after my payment from appen I will have to delete my appen account.
Wish they had told me this from the beginning!

MoreMoneyPlease · 11/11/2019 19:09

@Wolfff Good result! I'm still hoping for nice PPI payout...

Frenchdoors1 · 11/11/2019 20:03

Yep, Payoneer is the only way to get paid from Appen.

I have just had to email them to ask.
Apparently, within your active Payoneer account, you may select from bank transfer, prepaid MasterCard or PayPal as your payment method.

So I shall have to renew my passport just so I can participate on Appen - err don't think so! Halloween Hmm

peg90 · 11/11/2019 20:13

Thanks @Iannister I used your code.

Here's mine

MoreMoneyPlease · 11/11/2019 20:40

@Frenchdoors1 I don't remember showing Appen any ID. Have others had to as well?

rhij86 · 11/11/2019 20:46

@MoreMoneyPlease I don't remember having to do it either. There was at least one other further down that had to do it though, they sent a pic of their driving lisence.

@frenchdoors1 that's such a shame :(

@Wolfff nice bit of good news, congrats! I'm hoping for a PPI payout too. I helped my mum do her letters and she's so far been paid back just over 5K from Lloyds, with a few more accounts to be reviewed. They're currently looking at 4 old accounts of mine, even a fraction of what mum had back would be a nice boost :)

Frenchdoors1 · 11/11/2019 20:46

@MoreMoneyPlease

I didn't show Appen.
I went on my Payoneer account the other day and it said I had 1 notification, so I clicked on it and it said they needed my ID.
So. I've rang Payoneer today and she said that the first two to three payments from Appen will definitely go through but after that I need to send them my ID, with my photo on.

Frenchdoors1 · 11/11/2019 20:52

Yes, a poster earlier on this thread today said she sent her driving licence to them and it got accepted straight away.
There is a section on Payoneer on your account that says to upload or whatever it says.. your photo ID, it said.. Camera, file and something else can't remember now (menopause brainHmm)
So, I took a picture of my expired passport photo and sent it and apparently it's not good enough (but I thought it was better than nothing-and I tried Grin)
So when I rang up she said.. Maybe renew your passport!

Frenchdoors1 · 11/11/2019 20:56

BTW.. I don't have a problem renewing my passport but what if people don't travel? Drive or have the photo ID?! They can't use Payoneer?!

bkaz · 11/11/2019 21:08

*@Otterseas Thank you, I used your code. Mine is for anyone to use

rhij86 · 11/11/2019 21:09

@Frenchdoors1 absolutely, passport renewal is so expensive I wouldn't be doing it just for the fun of it!

Frenchdoors1 · 11/11/2019 21:12

@rhij86
Well. I'll just see what happens now.
See if anyone else comes along and says what happened to them regarding ID.

Managed 4 hours on my appen project today, hope I'm doing it okay! Not received any info on the third one I qualified for (which I think I can do alongside my current one) or the Scottish one that I qualified for, but tbh I think I have more than enough to be cracking on with as it is. Quite excited to hopefully get some extra spends before Christmas!

Buster27 · 11/11/2019 22:20

Anyone else feel like their real life job is just getting in the way Grin
