Oh maybe I better give the other exam a go then, although it looks similar to one I failed so probably won't lead anywhere for me Grin But its probably wise to have more than one exam passed I guess given how quickly projects can end

girlicorne · 09/11/2019 14:56

@mumofone2019 that's exactly what it says for me. I
have cleared my cache and rebooted my laptop but still nothing. I have raised a ticket but doubt it will be sorted until Monday at the earliest!

StudentHelp · 09/11/2019 16:21

Does anyone know if we can continue to do neevo? I've been paid but I didn't finish all my validation tasks and it still says active.

Frenchdoors1 · 09/11/2019 16:37

@StudentHelp

Carry on doing them if it says active, I did a ton load, I kept going back to mine and they were there ready to listen to or record on.

Wolfff · 09/11/2019 16:37

@StudentHelp

As far as I remember they said it wouldn't pay out until the job was finished. No harm in emailing and asking though.

StudentHelp · 09/11/2019 17:15

Thank you, I've done an extra 50 but I think I'll email them

anxiouswaiting · 09/11/2019 17:58

Failed another appen test so I hope the one I passed doesn't end too quickly! These tests are making me feel silly. I have 2 degrees so would hope I am not too thick but in the 10 months I have been with Appen I have managed to fail 3 tests, one which I failed twice and then gave up Hmm Well done to anyone passing these, you have some serious brain power!

Wolfff · 09/11/2019 18:12

I passed one on Thursday then failed what seemed an easier one today! It’s nothing to do with brainpower, just following not very clear instructions and taking your best guess in some cases what they actually want!

MoreMoneyPlease · 09/11/2019 18:26

I agree with @Wolfff The tests are nothing to do with being clever; it's about being able to decipher what they want from you, at the same time as not losing the will to live!

DontCallMeDarling · 09/11/2019 18:30

@anxiouswaiting don't worry about it, I passed all of them but with the last one I was pretty sure I was picking wrong answers as all available choices didn't seem to be right to me! And I've not heard anything about logins so even passing guarantees nothing. I'm still hoping that maybe crisp will surprise me before Xmas! Hmm

Buster27 · 09/11/2019 19:14

@anxiouswaiting Don't feel silly, plenty of people on here have failed Appen tests. I passed 3 of those 20 hour project ones, then did a much simpler test for another project and failed it twice! There was also definitely a bit of luck involved for the ones I did pass..

Buster27 · 09/11/2019 19:15

Just caught 25 mins of a 1.7 Crisp surge, that's the highest I've managed to catch so far.

Madre77 · 09/11/2019 19:43

@Wolfff thanks for responding. Are you finding the Trunkee project glitchy at all? It's like I find it hard to complete the ratings. When it asks about the overall feel it is just frozen. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Sorry for asking so much.

Madre77 · 09/11/2019 19:56

@GirlieMilfie I am on Cloudworkers. I have only been on it a few days. It took ages to get onto the platform but am not super impressed. I thought it would be super easy to send loads of messages an hour but I spend a min or 2 trying to grasp the conversation which is slowing me down but hopefully that will speed up. However if you can dedicate time as long as there is over 50 messages in the queue which there mostly is you can log on as much as you want so you can earn a fair bit. Hope this helps.

ArthurShelbysTash · 09/11/2019 20:19

Evening all. Has anyone had any issues with Payoneer? I had an email 6/11 from Appen to tell me my payment is imminent so I thought I'd better remind myself how to log into Payoneer.
Since I last logged in, a few notifications have popped up and one is asking me for a photo ID. I don't drive, my passport has just expired and I don't have national ID card.
Has anyone else had issues with this? It's my first appen payment so I'm not sure when to expect it. Or if it'll arrive at all now!

Frenchdoors1 · 09/11/2019 21:13

@ArthurShelbysTash

I was thinking the same a couple of hours ago.
I thought.. Oh, I'll check if my appen payment is in payoneer or whatever (never used payoneer before) and it said about photo ID!
I don't drive
Passport expired
No ID card

I'm lost too!

ArthurShelbysTash · 09/11/2019 21:25

@frenchdoors1 I was well chuffed with myself for remembering my log in details too! Wait and see then I reckon. I sent them a message asking them what they want from me and got an auto response, it told me to reply if it hadn't answered my question. It hadn't. Apparently they'll get back to me in 3 business days.
I let you know if I hear anything.

Frenchdoors1 · 09/11/2019 21:32

I'm just on there again now having a good look around the website and I was about to message them too.
Yeah, would be interesting to see what the outcome is although do you think that we may not even need to use payoneer!? It may just go through to PayPal?

ArthurShelbysTash · 09/11/2019 21:38

I can't remember giving my paypal details to appen and I can find on the appen website where to check my details. I've spent far too long staring at a computer screen today for one reason or another so maybe I'm just missing it.

Frenchdoors1 · 09/11/2019 21:47

I'll pm you...

Wolfff · 09/11/2019 22:23

@Madre77 I'll PM you. We are not supposed to discuss the projects here!

If you are using Toggl to track time on the big projects take a look at the Toggl browser extension, and set it up for The Pomodoro Technique. Twenty five minutes working 5 minutes break. I'm trying it out to see if it increases productivity for me. (Won't work if the kids are awake!)

2littleChicks · 10/11/2019 17:25

@Madre77 how are you finding Cloudworkers. I'm just about to send my paperwork back. I've seen on here some people saying that they make around an extra £500pm which would be incredible for me. But I don't know how realistic that is!
