Well that's it the countdown is on for Christmas (as far as I'm concerned anyway!)
Going to aim for more than £10 a day (I was around it for latter half of last month)
prolific has been rubbish this week
Doing very nicely out of intellizoom
Starting to Utest
Just wish Appen would give me a nice juicy project
Still not done Cloudworkers paperwork

@anxiouswaiting congrats :)
Keep an eye in your spam folder for the emails giving you access to the tool - that's where mine ended up for another project (same tool) and I was sat like a lemon for days waiting to get started Blush

MoreMoneyPlease · 08/11/2019 15:48

@rhij86 Total due was only about £150 so they can either divide it into 12 payments throughout the year or I pay it in one go! Either is fine.

rhij86 · 08/11/2019 15:57

@MoreMoneyPlease ah ok.
Because I have a full time job already all mine will be taxable. If both the Appen projects I'm on are steady and long term then I'll pretty much be doubling my pay. May have to think carefully about hours and earnings as I don't want it to tip me over the tax threshold. I'll be ok with that for this year. And next come to think of it as I'll be on mat leave for the second half... so much to think about Confused just want to make sure I do it correctly

ScoutFinchsHam · 08/11/2019 16:46

I’ve just done the first task on Niffler (Niffler’s Mom?). Is it ok to leave time before I go onto task 2? I have to pop out!

ScoutFinchsHam · 08/11/2019 17:00

I ploughed on as I realised it was quick. Sorry to be dim but do I invoice for this?

rhij86 · 08/11/2019 17:38

@scoutfinchsham I believe it's auto invoiced :)

Well I've just done a batch on my Appen project and managed to do it at their suggested beginner task/time rate so rather impressed with that. I'm rather concerned about my quality though as I'm struggling a bit as it's all US stuff and not British. I don't have a clue what a lot of stuff is. Hopefully this will get easier with time. Some questions I can do very quickly, some not!

Frenchdoors1 · 08/11/2019 18:19

Right then, I've got the honeygain app and the one I downloaded - No 3 on the screenshot did not say 'this app may cause harm to your device' I've included 2 screenshots, have I got the right one with the bees buzzing around? Blush.

On a whim last night I decided to apply for one of the new 20 hour Appen projects on the basis that nothing really has come through from them anyway. They emailed the guidance and test overnight. I definitely wasn't up for spending 3 or even 5 hours on it, but I set aside half an hour at lunch time, went through the guidance notes and test and got accepted onto the task right away. Am now just waiting for the log ins for the work tool. Not entirely sure how I'm going to fit in four hours every single day, as Crisp is pretty much the only thing I concentrate on now as that works out really well for me. Mind you, they say they expect 3-6 hours when work is available which makes me think it might just dry up pretty quickly.

dreamyflower · 08/11/2019 19:53

I just failed one of the Appen tests. It was my first time. Still haven't heard from cloudworkers. Wondering it anyone has the name or link to the other chat website? Thanks.

GachaBread · 08/11/2019 20:09

@dreamyflower it is called chat-from-home. My friend is on their platform but just like you is waiting for cloudworkers to come through. On chat-from-home you should be on their within a week and they pay weekly but the downside is that they require you to send 2000 MSG's a week to get them paid at 0.11 euros a message but each message has to be 175 characters long where as cloudworkers pay a standard 0.10 euros per message no matter how many you do. The other downside with chat-from-home is what time they want to validate your ID and do your training due to their time zones. I would have been on their myself but I kept missing their Skype messages due to being asleep.

seizethecuttlefish · 08/11/2019 20:11

Congrats @CatHopeful which one is that? I've got to admit that I read them all I forgot it. 20 hours a week would be bliss but I do wonder how long that'll last.

dreamyflower · 08/11/2019 20:29

Thanks @GachaBread. I appreciate the summary too! ☺️ Will have a looksie.

CatHopeful · 08/11/2019 20:41

seizethecuttlefish Bit nervous now re the NDA, but it's the one that sounds like a wild deer. I really hope the content is there for you (and for me, though with other commitments 10 hours a week is more realistic).

obviouslymarvellous · 08/11/2019 21:10

Anyone else waiting for the srt tool from Appen? It's been 24 hours and I'm getting stressed out now that they won't send it me. I've checked my spam etc and nothing Confused

obviouslymarvellous · 08/11/2019 21:17

Sorry I mean I haven't had the login details - am I missing something?

OP posts:
seizethecuttlefish · 08/11/2019 21:23

Have you had anything titled SRT? Mine did go to spam but it had loads of info and only when I read it closely did I realise it had log in details.

Junk mail folders are a nightmare, I didn't realise I'd passed two qualifications and I can't do 40 hours a week so going to have to pick one and let them know I can't do the other. Never get offered anything from Appen and now have 2. Has anyone declined a project? Are they ok?

anxiouswaiting · 08/11/2019 21:25

@seizethecuttlefish they will be fine about it because these 20 hour projects can't be worked together. I read somewhere that you will only be able to work in 1 of them

seizethecuttlefish · 08/11/2019 21:32

Thanks @anxiouswaiting, that's a relief. I think I read they would prioritise, now you mention it. So happy to finally have some work after months of waiting for some.

Madre77 · 08/11/2019 21:33

I'm looking for anyone doing Cloudworkers or trunkee on appen for some advice pleaseSmile

Buster27 · 08/11/2019 21:47

Ooh I've passed another 20 hour project (my third) - still waiting for log ins though.

curragh1 · 08/11/2019 21:59

@obviouslymarvellous I'm waiting too, it say it could take up to 48 hours to come through, so don't stress just yet Smile

Frenchdoors1 · 08/11/2019 21:59

Well done all of you with these new appen projects.
I didn't even apply for any because I wasn't sure but you've all done well.

For those who did Neevo. I've just received an email for what I believe is the last payment now.

Now these I don't mind doing Wink

obviouslymarvellous · 08/11/2019 22:00

Thanks @curragh1 will keep checking good luck to all starting! Do you think it will be 20 hours or do they take less time?
