6 months in and still going strong! It's the July earn £10 a day thread!

Let's try not to fill this one up too quickly Grin

I think everyone had an absolutely smashing month in June, with lots of luck thrown in at the end of it for good measure. I think we're all proving it's possible you can earn £10 a day from the comfort of your own sofa.

I'll pop together an updated list of earning methods later, I haven't had coffee yet Grin

All new joiners are welcome Smile

@CatHopeful - do you know how we join in the surges? I am sure there is something written about it somewhere, but I am almost on overload right now!

GrandCannon · 15/07/2019 14:58

Also now live on Crisp. Still waiting on the klipfolio log in. Seasoned krispers, does it keep track of your earnings in real time?

CatHopeful · 15/07/2019 14:59

m00rfarm I didn't think you had to do anything specific - I thought just being logged in and working through items at the relevant time was enough? Maybe I need to re-check the Wiki?

I've too much on today to sit and do any Crisp. I need to do it tomorrow, with all my notes in front of me. I'd got into the swing of the PR & physical/cyber threat mindset and barely needed to check back on my notes. I feel like I'm going to be starting from scratch again :/

m00rfarm · 15/07/2019 15:04

@CatHopeful - on slack it seems to be asking for people to do specific times - and then says they have enough people ... urghhh - I hate being the newbie and asking stupid questions all the time!

CatHopeful · 15/07/2019 15:10

m00rfarm My understanding of that is when extra people are required to cover the client-specific work (that we don't get to work on yet, because we're too new). All of the surge announcements I've seen are set as an announcement to everyone on Slack for the general queue work.

And yes, totally have the 'new girl' feeling.

robodo · 15/07/2019 15:41

I've been reading these threads throughout the year and have decided I wanted to see if I can earn a bit of extra money as I am due to go on maternity leave, I've tried to sign up to crisp but keep getting 18/20 does anyone have any tips for me? Thanks

SorryDidISayThatOutLoud · 15/07/2019 17:26

M00rfarm do you have Klipfolio access then if you know what you've earned? I am live as well now which is great but I would still have liked some feedback. Oh well, onwards and upwards!

justtheonethen · 15/07/2019 18:06

Surges are automatically applied. You get them just by working the relevant queue. The other announcements don't affect us- they are for specialist shifts.
They are all really friendly so do ask them questions if you have them. They won't mind.

The dashboard updates in real time - ish. Usually it's a bit behind and will jump up the next morning when you check it Smile

justtheonethen · 15/07/2019 18:06

@robodo just keep trying, took most of us a few goes.

Otterses · 15/07/2019 18:10

I'll try to catch up in a bit! Looks like there's some good updates on here.

Shitty day. I have a cocktail in a can.

I won £17 on a free bingo site! If you register for MrQ, you can 24 hours free bingo. There's like... 4 players usually Grin

Should we be working mod2 or monitoring queues? They didn’t really make it clear. Monitoring is obviously much quicker and less to think about ...

justtheonethen · 15/07/2019 18:37

Assume you can do either @m00rfarm. I find mod2 easier though Grin

Otterses · 15/07/2019 18:46

@m00rfarm I second @justtheonethen in that I find Mod2 easier! I need to look at the guideline video for monitoring...

ShinyButtons · 15/07/2019 21:09

I got to go on the live stuff at crisp today as well.
Just ventured into mod2 for the first time, there's so many guidelines and things to read, it's quite scary. I've wimped out and come on here instead Blush
How long would it take them to let me know if I got it wrong?

whatthewhatthewhat · 15/07/2019 21:44

@ShinyButtons I did about six in an hour! Can't see how I'm gonna get quicker! Lol, it's not as straightforward as the training leads you to believe!!!

smurfmonkey · 15/07/2019 21:45

Sometimes they'll contact you straight away, other times it can be a few days later. Don't worry if they do contact you, it's only to help you learn from your mistakes. It's happened to all of us Smile

ShinyButtons · 15/07/2019 22:42

Thanks @smurfmonkey I haven't heard anything yet so so far so good lol
I went onto the monitoring queue after my tiny dabble in mod2 and found it less scary.

Does anyone know the minimum amount for you to get paid on cloud workers. I'm slowly losing the will to live on there. But I don't want the 356 messages I've managed to send to be in vain and end up with nothing to show for it.

Bemystarlord · 16/07/2019 07:17

@ShinyButtons you’d need to send at least 625 messages which equates to £50 approx it works out 0.08p a message as their rates are in euros.

3dogsnorth · 16/07/2019 09:38

I'm interested, sort of, in cloud workers. My application is in but I'm not sure how worth it it will be. Been approved on Appen too. What would be the best one going forward? Any advice greatly appreciated

whatthewhatthewhat · 16/07/2019 09:48

Any ideas how to get approved on the other Appen site? (Not global?) my application has been hanging for months.

ShinyButtons · 16/07/2019 10:15

@Bemystarlord thank you. Glad I'm over half way there at least. Think I'll aim for 650 to be safe.

0htooooodles · 16/07/2019 10:25

Anyone been paid by crisp to there bank yet? Needs to hurry uppppp 😩

reddA · 16/07/2019 10:43

@0htooooodles mine went in on the 10th - was very impressed!

CatHopeful · 16/07/2019 10:56

My Crisp payment was via Paypal, within two hours of me submitting the invoice.

It's my first day doing live stuff. All the training data was monitoring rather than moderating/Mod2. There's so much more to remember with Mod2 and I'm feeling nervous. So I'm procrastinating elsewhere online rather than logging in to Crisp and getting on with it :/

Otterses · 16/07/2019 12:09

@whatthewhatthewhat

Waiting game I'm afraid! I believe that is regional though, looking at my referrals page it seems people are getting approved that way.

@3dogsnorth

Appen, apply for everything. There is no way of knowing if/when you'll be allocated a project, or how long it'll last for. I'd dip your toe into cloudworkers. If you hate it, you just don't do it anymore Smile it's not like a job where you need to give notice. I think it's wise to have as many income streams as possible.

£40 cashback cleared and cashed out Grin just off to puck poorly DS up now from nursery.
