I can't believe this has been going for nearly half a year!

As always, everyone is welcome to join us in earning an extra £10 a day Smile

There's hundreds of ways to manage this, but here is a list of some of the sites that are discussed frequently, and know caused some confusion for our new joiners last time.

Appen - a contracting website that offers a wide variety of work from social media evaluation, to voice based work. Please do not sign up to the Appen site you google, use this link, or you won't register correctly and you'll waste time waiting for projects that won't come your way.

https://connect.appen.com/qrp/public/jobs?uref=c48139fc0a25bae5d07c634d0a043f5b

(Full disclosure, that's my referral code and I get $25 if you are accepted and work for Appen for 150 hours, if anyone else would like to post their referral code feel free)

Axie Infinity - A crypto currency based game, the idea being that you breed 'creatures' battle them, then sell them on for profit to other gamers. Money can also be made through people renting land from you, or using your Axie to breed with theirs.

Leapforce - was Leapforce, now Appen.

Cloudworkers - Saucy chat site that pays per message.

Crisp - online website moderation, more information can be found here - https://survey.crispthinking.com/risk-analyst. There may also be references to the dashboard, Klipfolio and atlassian and slack, which are all tools used by crisp.

LionBridge - similar to Appen.

Still going good on crisp. I haven't heard much from Appen, which is disappointing. I have however just had an NDA email from isoftstone, so hoping that'll be part of the way to being signed up! 😁

fishandchops · 07/06/2019 07:33

I've just had an email from isoftstone has anyone done any work for them?

lannister · 07/06/2019 08:22

Has anyone signed up for the curve card & got their £5? It shows as pending in mine and I know I need to spend to activate it, but I tried to use the card in the post office yesterday & it wasn't accepted.

0hmygoodness · 07/06/2019 08:49

With silence from Crisp and Appen, I've just had a look at iSoftstone and applied.
Hopefully something will happen with one of them and let me do some work!!

MrsWombat · 07/06/2019 09:02

iSoftstone sounds very similar to Lionbridge, and I got bored with the training for that after failing the test a couple of times.

TheLolaMontez · 07/06/2019 09:57

Morning all, does anyone do product testing? I've seen a few websites advertised but I'm not sure I trust them.
Examples of their offers: Trial and keep the new iPhone X - sign up, you might be picked kind of thing. Unsure if they're genuine or scams...

TheLolaMontez · 07/06/2019 10:00

Also, does anyone know how long it takes for Appen to review final paperwork? I was accepted for one of the tasks and they sent an email saying they were finalising paperwork etc, does this stage often take longer than the others as I seemed to fly through those much quicker than expected.

anxiouswaiting · 07/06/2019 11:12

Does anyone know if it is only iphones that run on ios? I see some projects to apply for but they all say you need a phone running ios 10, I use android at the moment. Wondering if it is worth getting a cheap phone to apply for these projects?

Otterses · 07/06/2019 13:08

@louise5754

This is the most recent thread Smile I think the May thread may be a bit confusing to read. There's an summary on the first post of some of the sites we all use for extra income. Hopefully some of it will make sense.

Is it maths and English you struggle with?

https://www.figure-eight.com/contributor/

Good sounding microtask site Smile

OP posts:
reddA · 07/06/2019 16:49

Just had a look at figure eight - it's part of Appen, I also looked at my clickworker account this morning and the job available was the same as an Appen one Hmm

Had an email back from cloudworker and there are earlier hours available so I might give it a go :)

Otterses · 07/06/2019 16:54

Ohhhhh @reddA ! You're on the bloody ball! I didn't see that 😂

Was the task voice collection Grin ?

DS complying, it'll be a late one for me. I've been really failing at these lately, he has been staying in bed, so I've been up and down rather than crisp work. Every time I've been like ' I'm going to do crisp ALLLL NIGHTTTT', DS has been up fed down like a yo-yo.

DH is taking over for tonight as he's back, so I can go for my haircut. Then I can hopefully get to it Smile with no interruptions!

I'm pathetically excited about my haircut. It's the first time I'll have had on my own for a month.

OP posts:
reddA · 07/06/2019 17:11

It was Rattle which I failed with Appen Grin I closed the page down super fast!!

Enjoy your haircut and 'me time' - hope it takes a very long time!

Otterses · 07/06/2019 17:26

@reddA Rattle is a bastard Grin

And thank you! DS has very kindly covered my hair in custard. I'm sure the new hairdresser will love me.

Blessthekids · 07/06/2019 18:11

I'm stuck on the crisp test at 18/20, how many times can you take this test?

reddA · 07/06/2019 18:21

@Blessthekids I don't think there is a limit - keep trying :)

GoodPlaceJanet · 07/06/2019 22:25

The 3 Appen projects I've applied for say this

"You must complete any in-progress qualifications before you can work on this project."

Does anyone know what exactly this means? Is it in relation to other projects? I've completed Noyo but it's not showing that I have. I'm worried having that as an open project is hindering my progress with the long term applications.

FloofenHoofen · 07/06/2019 22:59

GoodPlaceJanet it's just saying that there will be an exam you have to complete should they choose you to go ahead with that project. You don't need to do anything, just wait.

GoodPlaceJanet · 07/06/2019 23:08

Ah OK thank you!

Otterses · 08/06/2019 10:32

Happy Saturday all, hope it's a productive one.

@Blessthekids 100000000000 times is acceptable Grin but plenty of people have been taken on with 18/20. So don't stress too much.

@GoodPlaceJanet Noyo is automatically invoiced. You don't need to worry about that Smile all your pending projects, don't worry about those either. You may/may not hear back about them, they allow you to apply, but if they're full they only take on someone when they need to. It's a waiting game I'm afraid.

Hairdresser was astoundingly behind Shock I got back at 21:30 from a 18:30 appointment. Was starving by the time I got back, so ate, did an hour of crisp then headed to bed.

OP posts:
MrsWombat · 08/06/2019 10:58

Appen have now approved my invoice for one day of Truckee and one session of Noyo so $17.60 or around £13 coming to me on the 15th.

I also got a snotty email from them as I technically only did 3 days last week, but they were the only three days I could do as I got accepted on Friday (so did Fri, Sat, Sun) as the email said I could start straight away. Confused Never mind!

WheelyCote · 08/06/2019 11:14

Ive started match betting😬 im bit wobbly but i have a few things set to run today, fingers crossed ive understood it right.

Ill see how today turns out and if ive misunderstood and lost. I wont do it again but if ive understood it then ill go on with it. I just get a bot confused lol

Otterses · 08/06/2019 11:20

Ahhh @MrsWombat, I think a lot of those are auto generated. Just send a polite response explaining your start date Smile

You SHOULD get paid on Friday, it's been the 14th for me the last few months.

@WheelyCote You did the cashback deals for your deposits right? If so then you can't make a loss even if you stuff it up Grin

Bemystarlord · 08/06/2019 11:22

@TheLolaMontez same here! Filled in the paperwork after they said i had been accepted on a project on Thursday but not heard anything back since.
