Welcome PersonalTraining

Twentytwentyhindsight · 19/04/2019 23:07

Quite telling that both KPIs do not directly relate to sales (the product), but to how active the bots are (the CCs are only partially linked to turnover- they can also be awarded for recruitment), especially in recruitment.

Further proof, if needed, that it's all about recruitment, not actual sales of the product, ergo a pyramid scheme.

Also, not only are new sign ups down, the rate of attrition (number of bots jacking it in) will be dramatically higher.

Whichever indicators you use, the figures for the next years will be even worse. Bring on Stockholm (remember that the pot shared by the dwindling number of bots qualifying for a cheque is determined by how well FLP UK is doing)!

BangingOn · 19/04/2019 23:17

Oh dear Iron, back to very crude tactics. “Every thought about making money on your phone?” (sic)

Nurse bot has something exciting going on in the morning!

@Spongebobette thank you. You've made me very happy 😁

Twentytwentyhindsight · 20/04/2019 00:56

As you will be aware Dora, the whole thing is smoke & mirrors and bots contradicting themselves to suit their narratives (most of their audiences are too busy trying to emulate them to spit this - this is one of the important roles this thread plays).

My OH was childminding temporarily when she got recruited to FLP. She was doing three days a week while our youngest was pre-school, and spending the other two weekdays with him alone.

Once she got sucked in, she started using the money from the childminding to put him in nursery for those days so that she could concentrate on the biznis, which involved posting about how lucky she was that FLP allowed her to spend time with her kids.

When I tried to point out this contradiction is around the time that, I realise with hindsight, I got classed as a negative hater that didn't want her to succeed.

Everything that bots say & claim to do is contradictory:
botting fits into the pockets of time that you have while allowing you time freedom/to be successful at botting you have to give it everything;

botting will bring instant rewards/you've got to put in the work to succeed;
botting will cost you nothing/you have to invest in your biznis to get anywhere...

All of the above contradictions, and many more, can easily be found in the social media histories of any of the bots we follow on these threads. It's a tissue of fucking lies, designed to reel people in, then keep them there making money for their uplines and the company for as long as possible.

The whole premise of MLMs is a fallacy, they can't exist without lies/contradictions.

gotmychocolateimgood · 20/04/2019 01:08

It's so clever, and so dark, that it could be the plot of a Black Mirror episode.

Willowsauntie · 20/04/2019 07:52

I feel desperately sorry for the FL victim above, I don't believe she's a nurse. I think this is another Yawn embellishment.

Bovneydazzlers · 20/04/2019 08:01

Bruvbot posting about Welsh Rarebit achieving 'guaranteed' car plan for 36 months...

It's guaranteed only if you do 300 case credits per month (or have shed loads of managers)...at 3600 case credits per year not going to be many months most people would achieve the full value (if you get less case credits in any month, you get a smaller/no payment but you don't get it back in months you overachieve). Hardly 'guaranteed'Grin

See Page 22 of this exciting read for more details...
gallery.foreverliving.com/gallery/GBR/download/Policies/CompanyPolicySept2012.pdf

Policy guide also has gems such as:

The 60 day guarantee means that:
Distributors not happy with products can only get an exchange
However distributors must issue full cash refund to customers.

With those without a married spouse named on their business (Rexy doesn't seem to allow for unmarried partners), any global incentive trips, boys are expected to share a room with another single bot. Fun fun.

Bungalowbeth · 20/04/2019 08:14

These threads are starting to get super creepy. First we had someone so over invested in Castle’s Air BnB antics that they felt they had to message the landlord in the last thread and now someone else transcribing someone’s boring monologue about how she’s lost friends since becoming a forever bot (I watched some of it but got bored after a minute). Never mind the constant obsession with Yawn. Am out, you people are ridiculous!

FleeBee · 20/04/2019 08:26

Oh well Beth, I'm in to try & protect a friend from losing money to MLM who have promised her she can replace her teaching income. Which from these threads is unlikely

GoldenKelpie · 20/04/2019 08:38

beth, you are free to leave this thread at any time, or return if you wish. That you find it 'boring' (nursebots live) is interesting, however.

BSintolerant · 20/04/2019 08:43

That so-called boring monologue which someone helpfully transcribed from a public Facebook live is a perfect example of how MLM cults brainwash people into parting with their money to line the pockets of their uplines - in this case - the likes of Yawn. Yawn won't care if her latest victim loses her real friends: all she cares about is being kept by the likes of her latest victims. Seeing it in black and white highlights just how manipulative and dangerous these schemes are.

I had a friend who ended up bankrupt thanks to being sucked in by an MLM scheme: others merely found themselves financially up shit creek because they believed all the nonsense pedalled by the likes of Yawn.

These threads are making a massive difference by telling the truth about MLMs. If talking about public posts on Facebook which show cultish manipulation, or even an MLM shill wilfully damaging someone else's property is "super creepy" so be it.

How theclaw of attraction is changing now that the big bots are skint themselves.
It used to be Facebook posts of mulberry and other designer bags etc. Now it is Facebook posts of nespresso coffee pods and carousel!

Spongebobette · 20/04/2019 09:18

Sorry you feel you have to go

I think that it’s partly by providing FACTS such as those from Forever Living’s company accounts, combined with providing REAL LIFE, SPECIFIC examples of top bots’ lies and manipulation and the effect on their victims is the best way to show anyone coming across these threads the awfulness of MLMs

SnoogyWoo · 20/04/2019 09:42

I don’t think you quite get it Beth. We are not just watching someone with a slightly odd hobby, MLM’s create real damage to families on every level. If we can help any of our immediate friends and family by watching the tactics employed by the bots then we can possibly help someone get away from those odious cults.

I myself was surreptitiously cajoled into Amway in the late 1990’s but quickly woke up before I was fully botted. I have subsequently seen someone sucked totally into FL and now is out the other side but with real consequences. This person put their absolute heart and soul into it and even I though they were succeeding but after 5 years it collapsed for them. They quit a highly paid and stable council job to do it. If they couldn’t make it work then no one can, they were really good at it.

Anything we can do to stop or slow this industry is a good thing.

gotmychocolateimgood · 20/04/2019 09:46

One if the things that made me most sad looking at nurse bot's activity is her live sharing the results of her c9. Her little boy was crying for her and she kept filming and gushing about her results. Not so family friendly.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 20/04/2019 09:48

Sorry you feel that way Beth, but I have to disagree.

That wasn't a boring monologue, it was a terrifying example of someone being stripped of their capacity for critical thought and brainwashed into alienating themselves from their support network of friends and families, all so that they can be manipulated and exploited to the full.

It is straight from a cult playbook. For 'my business', read 'path to enlightenment', 'journey to God', 'true path', 'new family', 'rebirth' etc.

The poster of the transcript has done the opposite of stalking. The live is public for all to see; by transcribing it without attributing a name, they have enabled others to see the process without being directed to the original live, thus actually helping preserve the victim's anonymity.

My OH fell victim to this technique, as a result our family faced 8 years of financial hardship and she now lives in someone's attic room, rather than the promised life of financial freedom and ability to spend more time with her kids that were promised in exchange for buying into the cult.

At the time it was happening, neither our friends nor I understood what was bringing about the transformation. By the time it dawned on me, it was too late, and any attempts on my part to get her to realise what was happening led to her distancing herself further, as it was proof that I was one of the 'negative influences deliberately holding her back from achieving her greatness.

Had I (or our friends) had an insight into the process as it was happening, such as the poster of the transcript has provided, I am not certain that the whole fiasco could have necessarily been averted, but we would have been much better equipped to deal with it.

SnoogyWoo · 20/04/2019 09:53

The manipulation of someone’s aspirations is just the worst thing. Nurse bot will genuinely feel that she has a life of riches awaiting her, she may not be materialistic but you know she is thinking of all the things she can buy and do with her boy to be the best mum ever. When that comes crashing down what will it do to her self esteem to feel likes she’s failed him??

gotmychocolateimgood · 20/04/2019 10:48

Eye remember a certain poster being flamed for his views on mlm and cults. We didn't believe him but it's true. Look at the success days- flashing lights, uplifting music, whooping and clapping - this set up is chosen to elicit a specific psychological response so the bots associate the company with euphoria. Everything said on stage is designed to manipulate. Just evil.

BSintolerant · 20/04/2019 11:07

Don't forget why our friend Eyes posted on these threads: he lost his brother to Amway.

Norma27 · 20/04/2019 11:11

I remember someone on here was still in contact with eyes. Have they heard from him lately?

Whiterangey · 20/04/2019 11:11

I think the transcript is one of the most worthwhile posts that has been made on here. Seeing it in words is chilling.

You only have to read Twenty's post to see how MLM's destroy families.

I'm sure his ex partner is a good mother who believed she was doing the best for her children. The blame for her failure will lay with everyone but FLP.

Showing that transcript to someone who is thinking of joining an MLM would be powerful. Showing a similar transcript to Nurse just before she joined may have stopped her joining as nobody wants to be that person.

I wish the transcript had a wider audience than just on here, it is such a powerful transcript. Should be shown to anyone thinking of joining an MLM.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 20/04/2019 11:24

Yes, the whole format of their events mirrors those of religious revivalist meetings, designed to offer a path to salvation and a sense of 'true belonging' within a closed community that is under siege from outsiders.

They start with inspirational personal testimonials: "I was a lost soul like you, wandering through the wilderness with no hope until I saw the light of salvation- I have not looked back since."
cf. "I was stuck in a dead end job with no hope of betterment, just like you, until I was presented with this amazing opportunity that has transformed my life".

Then there is the adulation of the leaders, who stalk the stage like all-powerful conduits for everything the audience aspires to while the audience is encouraged to cheer wildly.

All of this interspersed with pumping music, flashing lights and group hysteria designed to get them to abandon critical rational thought and lose themselves to a greater group.

Finally, there are the admonitions to keep the faith and fend off the temptations laid by the dark side. "Satan and the his minions will whisper in your ear that their path is easier- the path will be hard, but you must stay strong and cast aside your doubts".
Cf. "There are people out there, haters who do not want you to succeed, who will say that it can't work, that it's a scam even. You must resist their doom-mongering and get them out of your life. Success may sometimes feel a long way away, but believe in it enough and you will achieve it.

Textbook stuff.
