It’s certainly very tumbleweedy on her page

Presumably this notion of begging friends for support by buying your products originated with Yawn, as more than one of her downline is using it as a strategy?

How far they have come, from ‘attraction marketing’ to ‘begging for favours from friends’

Norma27 · 26/04/2019 10:12

I thought the mega expensive gloop shite was so amazing that it sold itself. Surely there should be no need to beg people to order from you!

Norma27 · 26/04/2019 10:23

Looking forward to seeing yawn’s amazing, filling meals on her c9.
Dust anyone??

9dartfinish2nd · 26/04/2019 10:33

The BBC documentary being discussed now on BBC News channel.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/10318089/bbc-news-channel

Starts around 10:24am

MontanaSkies · 26/04/2019 10:41

@Ajgee, I agree - I hope they haven't fallen into the trap of "being balanced" by giving equal weight to each side. That would suggest that a victim participant in MLM has a 50% chance of success, which we know isn't true. Hopefully there will be cold hard stats!

BSintolerant · 26/04/2019 10:41

If the documentary takes the same track as the Victoria Derbyshire interview it'll kick MLMs in the nuts. The Younique victim who told her story and Ellie the journalist (all power to your elbows!) didn't pull any punches.

Mmm ... elbowing, punches and kicks. MLMs deserve what's coming to them.

Yawn's mission is to 'create a network of millionaires'. FFS

fromdownwest · 26/04/2019 11:13

Watching that BBC snippet is tragic, seeing real life victims, and hearing how they were directly impacted will surely make people take note. As I have said, at times this thread does go past what I think is right, however, when you see this poor woman opening her heart up about her experiences, it validates why this thread is in existence.

I think that those on the fence will be impacted by the programme, however, those all in, will brush it off. So a small victory

9dartfinish2nd · 26/04/2019 11:15

@MontanaSkies On the Radio 5 live interview a couple of days ago Ellie Flynn stated that 89% of Nu Skin distibutors earn £0 in commissions.
That's the sort of stats i'd love to see feature in this programme.

MontanaSkies · 26/04/2019 11:29

@9dartfinish2nd That's good to know. Hopefully the facts will speak for themselves - to those not botted, anyway.

11% earning a commission actually seems quite high! Though I guess of that 11% some will only just be breaking even, not earning a decent living wage.

9dartfinish2nd · 26/04/2019 11:41

Sadly most bots think that because they recieved a commission payment they are making money, they neglect to take into account the cost of travelling to Conventions, Training materials, Purchases made by the rep whilst being a "Product of the product" etc.........then your left with about 1% who actually earn good money.

Norma27 · 26/04/2019 11:49

I thought the Victoria Derbyshire show was pretty good. That poor lady who had lost money. It did show that 0.02% of bots in either nuskin or younique earn the top percentage commission. Although it didn’t give percentages for how many make any at all.
Can’t wait for the show tomorrow.

I want to comment on these bots’ posts

You don’t have a business if you are relying on pity purchases from friends and family

Can you guess?

yawns

Norma27 · 26/04/2019 12:59

Does their upline is the person in yawn’s downline who recently made manager.

Norma27 · 26/04/2019 13:00

Dora not does!!

Norma27 · 26/04/2019 13:01

Yawn’s ‘training’ (in her sweaty gym gear) is about making eagle manager by the look of it too.

Sorry but I will never get over anybody having a sweaty gym session then having meetings without showering and changing first!

Norma27 · 26/04/2019 13:09

Dora will this person be for yawn or the other manager to qualify for eagle incentive?
I was wondering why she ‘had’ to qualify this month. That explains it tho. I bet she buys loads of crap herself to do it.

I agree sponge- I really want to message some of these poor bloody bots myself.

Thanks Dora. No wonder yawn downline is so desperate for this victim to qualify

Norma27 · 26/04/2019 14:53

And we have yawn’s first delicious looking meal.
Dust anyone?

FranceTeam · 26/04/2019 15:33

Why do they use the term supervisor? Isn’t that a rather old fashioned job title now?

It doesn’t seem to go well with people claiming to be global business coaches!
