Hello everyone Grin a new month, and a new thread, and a £280 target to hit!

There aren't song rules, as long as you've made some extra cash. So from eBay to remote jobs to saving money by switching your house insurance provider - it all counts.

There's a list below of the sites mentioned in the previous thread, hopefully I haven't missed too many, but add anything else you think of.

Passive Income
(These applications both look at your viewing habits, have a good think about whether or not you’re comfortable with this)

MobileXpression - amazon vouchers - about £100 a year
Nielson Mobile - various vouchers - about £100 a year

Leapforce
Appen
LionBridge

@duffed do Nielson as well if you're happy with mobilexpression Smile easy passive income. You'll net £200 a year in amazon vouchers between the two.

@leamaria mine took about 5 days to actually make it to my account 😩

Not sure if anyone has mentioned the postcode lottery. Not sure what the chances are but it's free and you just have to check the website daily. They also have a competition site where you just click to enter competitions, for those who are trying comps this month.

If anyone is interested it would be great if you could use my referral code please : pickmypostcode.com/?ref=2272098

NChangeForNoReason · 04/02/2019 22:21

Just spent an hour entering about 30ish competitions ... I know it's not guaranteed, but it was fun thinking of the prizes I could win!!

Otterses · 05/02/2019 05:55

£20 today Grin already. Got rid of the sodding die cutting machine.

I've been crap at updating my totals, so far I'm on;

1st - £10.61 LF
2nd - 10.61 LF
3rd - £10.61 LF
4th - £2 for some craft feathers
5th - £20 on gumtree for a die cutting machine, £10.61 LF, and who knows what the day will bring!

£64.44/280

@NChangeForNoReason Grin the thing is, you're not going to win anything if you don't enter. I'm on 180 now.

If I win nothing I think I might explode with rage 😂 I'm being quite picky, anything with resale value, something I'd give away for Christmas or booze.

Lots of Gin comps!

I have a question about Leapforce which I can't remember having been asked before. Can you sign up for more than one project? And can you work for more hours that you put down in your original application?

I signed up for qmee and isay the other day and I have to say I don't like them. The surveys are frequent but you only get pence for a survey that you might get paid two or three pounds for on Populus Live. Populus Live is infrequent (two or three a month) but it does pay very well in comparison!

Otterses · 05/02/2019 10:12

@margaritasbythesea yes, some projects are compatible.

However, there are a few you can't combine. Like if you have ever worked for Nile, you can't work Truckee. But you can combine Yukon/Nile/Saluda - your best bet is asking on the Social tab for confirmation.

Otterses · 05/02/2019 10:12

And yes, you can work more hours Smile

Thanks Otterses. I have applied for Nile and am waiting to find out. Crossing my fingers!

LucyInTheSkyy · 05/02/2019 10:23

Hi. Great thread and following with interest.
Have been assigned the Truckee project via Appen. Does anybody know if you have to take screenshots to authenticate your 1 hour time taken to rate ads, and if so, where you send them to? There is no obvious way to add screenshots to the invoices. A separate email full of screenshots??

Otterses · 05/02/2019 14:09

That's fantastic news @LucyInTheSkyy Smile

I'd recommend taking and keeping screenshots. You don't need to send them to anyone, but they're good for proving you worked if there's an error. So you invoice for 24 hours, but the system thinks you worked 3. It's rare, but it happens.

Keep, them delete once your invoice is paid.

Prolific is dead for me at the moment, I did get a referral bonus of £2.21 though.

I've applied to some appen projects, hoping I get those.

I also just applied to Lionbridge, not sure how I'll do but thought it was worth a try - any one have any experience with them?

LucyInTheSkyy · 05/02/2019 14:17

Thanks @Otterses ! Much appreciated.

blackcat86 · 05/02/2019 15:16

So inspired by all of you and watching this thread, I've just reduced one of our insurance policies by £50 a month just by phoning up and threatening to cancel. I've also been clearing my wardrobe and listing items on eBay. I've made £17 today and should make £20 tomorrow on items. Thanks for the inspiration!

Otterses · 05/02/2019 15:54

@livingaftermidnight I think @SplitEndsBushyEyebrows was successful (apologies if I'm wrong!) so is the best person to ask Smile

Frenchdoors1 · 05/02/2019 16:25

Hi can I ask a question?

So many of you are selling items on ebay, is it really that easy to use ebay?

blackcat86 · 05/02/2019 16:31

It's really easy to use. Big items like a box of too small (new obviously) nappies I've listed for collection or more expensive postage to book a courier. Small items like clothes take me a couple of minutes to photograph and list, then I post them once sold. You'll ideally need some postage bags and sticky white labels as well as tape but these are really cheap on eBay.

Frenchdoors1 · 05/02/2019 16:34

Thanks blackcat86

I'll give it a try

Frenchdoors1 · 05/02/2019 16:44

@blackcat86

What about ebay charges, how much of your £17 that you made today will you get back? Would it be worth selling quite a few items in that case?

margaritasbythesea · 05/02/2019 17:51

I have belatedly signed up for Shoppix. If anyone else wants to join I would be grateful if you could use my referral code. We both get some points. I don't know how many!

Been lurking a while but keen to try lots of the suggestions one here!
(although I think my more personal aim will be to make £2019 rather than the £10 a day as that might be more manageable to me 😬)
Regarding eBay they do take 10% of what you sell your item for and they also apply that to the postage - don't get me started on that one... but they do often have £1 listing days which it's worth waiting for as it's great for items you might make potentially quite a bit on! Good luck with your sales

ChakiraChakra · 05/02/2019 18:12

Easiest tenner ever made this morning on Heart Bingo 😁 offer to play a free game just for uploading £10 credit. The game (one click), won £10, withdrew £20!

somewhere78 · 05/02/2019 18:15

@livingaftermidnight I failed the Lionbridge test and I work in IT. How stupid must I be. They say you have to put the hours in (I did) to pass the exam so feel like that was such a waste of time but hey ho...
