Has anyone had a go at selling used books on Amazon?

I was going to use a site like MusicMagpie but came across an article yesterday saying how easy it is list books on Amazon. They say that, although fees are high, you get much more per book that at MusicMagpie and the like and it is quicker than ebay. Here is the article. I might have a go unless I hear bad news on here!

Caticorn · 19/02/2019 09:33

Can anyone tell me how to get your money out of Oh My Dosh?
I can't seem to see an option to cash out!

duffed · 19/02/2019 09:40

yes mobilex got back to me within the day i think,

I did the final crisp test - don't think I did a good job :( the format of the test was different to that in the training video which threw me. will wait to hear my score but not feeling confident.

i sell books on amazon, their fees are quite high so not worth listing anything worth less than £2/3. as you'll barely have enough for postage (they set the cost). It's also quite a long term game - so I list and then it can take a year of two to sell some, but its good as you have a trickle of income over time.

Otterses · 19/02/2019 09:58

@BlockRockinBeats is it still pending or does it say it's available?

@duffed even if you don't get it, you've done amazingly to get that far it seems Smile fingers crossed for you. They may even offer a retake?

Surely there aren't STILL people with VHS tapes to convert out there!?

Hello all! I thought this thread had gone quiet, I'm delighted to see it still going strong!

I thought it would be useful to post a list of daily offers to remember to do once you've done sign up and cashback;

Lottoland - sign up for 99p get cashback on OhMyDosh. Do the tickets your 99p purchased, I won £3! I did the reload offer when it came through on email, £2.50 for £7 worth of scratchcards and got another £4.10. They do a daily free game called freerider. You have to upload ID to be able to withdraw, I'm impatiently waiting for mine to be approved.

William Hill - for the rest of the world that's not gubbed Wink they do a daily spin on their mega wheel, it was worth it four me but I'm pretty certain it was the reason I got gubbed, so balance out in your mind if you want to keep WH for reload offers. I can still bet, just no promos.

Heart Bingo - sign up and deposit/play £10 as per cash back and/or Heart promo instructions - I did mine through Quidco. If you want to wager your money at lowest risk, always do blackjack, following Team Profit tables and instructions. Once you've chewed through the welcome offers, I recommend you withdraw your £10 stake and leave your profit balance in for now, or leave £5-10 in for offers. Do the daily games (double bubble or Daily News - I seem to have more success on DB than news), and check the promos regularly, a free box game for wagering has proven lucrative for me several times if you're allowed to wager on blackjack.

Virgin Games - do the cash back (Quidco I think for me) and welcome offers. They have three daily free games to choose from, I like the Phoenix one for a change.

SkyBet (SkyVegas) - much excitement from me when I managed an almost perfect match and got £4.98 out of a £5 free bet 😂 - vegas does a daily free prize machine spin.

One to avoid - Kitty Bingo - this might just be personal preference, but their reload offers come with insanely high wagering requirements, and it sucks that you have to spend your own money before bonus money. I don't regret doing the sign up for cashback via Quidco though Smile if you DO want to there's daily free bingo when you deposit with no wagering requirements, so you could chuck £10 in and when you're bored done remove the £10 you haven't spent anything of.

Who have I missed? Smile

FloofenHoofen · 19/02/2019 10:25

Quick questions, can you have two projects open in Appen at once? As in, can I work on two separate projects if I qualify?

Three new projects have popped up on Appen today.

Housingcraze · 19/02/2019 11:45

Free movies UK

Link not working, but free cinema tickets each week saves money and saves money entertaining kids, first come first serve.

duffed · 19/02/2019 13:14

Oh! I passed Crisp's competency test!!!!!! Was sure I had messed that up Doesn't give me an exact score but to pass you have to have more than 60 in 30 mins and had no more than two errors .

I am now a Crisp approved Risk Analyst Contractor -polishes badge-

It is possible people! Believe!

BlockRockinBeats · 19/02/2019 13:17

I finally got my Respondent survey on the two make up websites approved! See how long it takes to get my payment now.

Just seen two new very well paying surveys on Respondent that I am unfortunately not eligible for. However, if you are and you use my referral links, I will get a reward if you take part in the study.

The first study is a remote online task researching skincare. I got screened out! However, if you are invited, you will be paid $60 via Paypal for 45 mins of your time. Here is the link

The second study is looking for Japanese women to take part in a discussion about haircare products:

We are a large, multi-national company that produces beauty products. We would like to get feedbacks on our new product concepts/ideas for the future launch in Japan market and your opinion will help us develop delightful product for Japanese women!

It is an online remote study and the reward is $100 for an hour of you time. Referral link here...

Autotelic · 19/02/2019 15:13

Hi all,

How long does it take to hear back from Respondent after you've completed the initial survey for a study? I filled some out a week or so ago and they're still on my list but not heard anything about whether I can take the study or not..

Otterses · 19/02/2019 15:25

@duffed OH MY FUCKING GOD Shock

Congratulations!

OP posts:
Otterses · 19/02/2019 15:42

@FloofenHoofen yes and no. Some projects you can't work at the same time, like you can't do Nile and Truckee, can't do Bear if you worked Nile, etc. But some are compatible.

@ChakiraChakra Shock fantastic list. Agree, Kitty Bingo is ridiculous! But worth it for the Quidco offer.

Tutorial later, Leapforce. Then I'm going to get down to some serious comping 😎

How's everyone getting on with football index?

OP posts:
FloofenHoofen · 19/02/2019 16:06

Thanks Otterses I got accepted into Index today, just doing the course now, completely going over my head! Not sure if I could even do two at once if they're all this complicated Confused

Lelly78 · 19/02/2019 19:10

Thanks everyone, just catching up. I have been doing some surveys and things plus some mystery shopping. Feels like 10 years ago as I was really into this then!

Otterses · 19/02/2019 20:17

Ohhhh! Three new projects have appeared on my Leapforce page 😮 applied for all three obviously. Keep an eye out for Sharp and Index!

OP posts:
BlockRockinBeats · 19/02/2019 20:25

@Autotelic WRT Respondent...I joined two weeks ago and signed up for about ten projects. I got accepted for one last week, which I have completed. The rest are showing either 'closed' or still open. From what I have seen so far from myself and others, it takes about one/two weeks for you to get an invite.

Otterses · 19/02/2019 20:27

And Echo

I'm very excited. Hopefully this'll be something to replace Nile if they chuck me this month.

@FloofenHoofen any sneaky information about what Index is like Wink ?

OP posts:
FloofenHoofen · 19/02/2019 20:37

It's categorising apps Otterses. Basically making sure that the query searched for is what actually comes up.
There's an entire rating system. I'm slowly getting it...

JustLurkingAway · 19/02/2019 20:40

I too got very excited seeing the new projects on Appen today! I've applied for all 3, obviouslyWink

BlockRockinBeats · 19/02/2019 20:40

If anyone has not yet started matched betting, I really urge you to bite the bullet and give it a go. I have been doing it for 11 days now and I am £100 in profit with some bets yet to settle.

I taught myself how to do the basics using the tutorial videos on www.profitaccumulator.co.uk

I started off using their free trial for 7 days and then I signed up to be a Platinum member so I could then access over 70 sign up offers and loads more free bets. I have used ten offers so far.

Platinum membership is £17.99 per month, which sounds a lot, and it did to me at first. However, I am now making on average @ £10 profit per day by working my way through the various sign up offers on there. So it has more then paid for itself. Plus, some of the bookies are now sending me deals, such as bet £10 on the match tonight and get a free £10 bet. I have got loads of bets on tonight as a result!

There are even more tutorials on there for when we have worked our way through all the free welcome bets. I am nowhere near that stage yet but there is lots more to learn and earn through more advanced matched betting techniques, such as accumulators (arrgh, sounds scary just now, but we will master it!)

If you think The Profit Accumulator website and bet matching tools will help you get started, please visit www.profitaccumulator.co.uk and use my referral code: 347638

Once you get started, you too will get a referral code to share and earn extra cash on top of your matched betting earnings.

It is addictive, but it is definitely NOT gambling as you are guaranteed to make a profit once you have used your qualifying deposit bet.

Try it!

gonegnome · 19/02/2019 20:44

block is that myLotto24? I've just closed my account OK

Otterses · 19/02/2019 20:45

@FloofenHoofen can I be a right nosey bugger and ask how many hours a week it is ?

@JustLurkingAway It's sad when work becomes exciting 😂

OP posts:
BlockRockinBeats · 19/02/2019 21:05

@gonegnome Yes! Thankfully, after two emails they replied to me today to say they had closed my account phew!

However, don't forget what the terms are to qualify for the £7.50 OMD reward. We had to keep the account open for 20 days before cancelling, which I have. BUT....you must STILL keep on receiving their newsletter emails for 30 days after sign up in order to get the payout 😡😡😡.

I have made a note in my diary to unsubscribe from Lotto24 email newsletters on 27 Feb.

I have a very strong feeling that Lotto24 will try their best to wriggle out of paying this. It has been so painful all the way. As if they are trying to trip you up. If you don't cancel in time, you get subscribed to paying £4.99 pw for lottery syndicates. So many people must have fallen for it. I hope we haven't!

FloofenHoofen · 19/02/2019 21:07

Otterses minimum of 15 hours, it says if you're good then they'll give you 20 hours.
You have to work from your location... So can't take your work with you as it apparently affects search results.

So that'll be interesting as I've a holiday to go on in May!

Otterses · 19/02/2019 21:16

@FloofenHoofen Shock 15 hours!

You're set my lovely Grin you'll bloody smash your £10 a day target this year.
