The continuing crusade to expose the underhand tactics used to lure (mainly) women into exploitative schemes using the lure of 'financial independence'.

Yeah so you have to flog 2k worth of Aloe gloop to make 400 quid.

20 customers spending 100 quid a month EACH

Or 15 customers spending 133 quid

EVERY SINGLE MONTH

notsurewhatshappening · 04/03/2019 20:04

True, so the bots bulk out their orDersingham with things for themselves to meet their case credit targets. My friend was toldesigned to walk around her house and make a list of what she could substitute with FL products. Eg bathroom- hand soap, deodorant, shampoo, body wash, skincare. Kitchen - daily gloop, supplements etc. Handbag- gellystuff, lip balm, suncream. Her house was full of the bloody stuff. She was also told to give products to her friends and family for birthday and Christmas presents- as she was hoping to spend the money anyway so it made sense, right? Oh and why not stock up on some extra supplies as she'll always need hand soap in the future! When it all went to pot she couldn't even have a shower without staring at sodding forever stuff and she had boxes of stuff that wouldn't sell. It's just awful.

Spongebobette · 04/03/2019 20:13

Yup. THEY are the customer

Twentytwentyhindsight · 04/03/2019 20:27

My OH discovered that she absolutely needed to take every supplement under the sun or she'd be very poorly.

She also decided that the kids needed to take the FL kiddy pills every day or they'd get rickets, scurvy and whatnot. This actually led to one of my small victories when I pointed out that they were full of an artificial sweetener she had previously railed against. She initially tried to argue that it must be natural (the clue is in the word 'artificial) because it was FLP and they only do natural stuff. Another was when I forbade the use of skin and sun screens that contained a chemical that was being banned for causing contact dermatitis. I don't think she ever forgave me for those.

The blessed relief now when I go to the bathroom or open a kitchen cupboard or look under the bed to find zero FLP products !

(Although I must say their MPD cleaning stuff was actually pretty good).

In forever living, what do you get if you recruit someone? And is it only you that benefits or does your upline also get paid on it ?

suedoname · 04/03/2019 22:34

@FranceTeam
It depended what level you were. At the bottom it was about £37 or something per recruit.

Can't remember if an upline benefitted.

What a waste of life. Who would want to spend their precious life here on earth doing something so unfulfilling and mind-numbingly tedious?

Jasmin82 · 05/03/2019 00:04

Need to "sell" £2.5K to make £400. That's because commission is paid on the amount spent after VAT has been deducted.

acatcalledjohn · 05/03/2019 08:29

When on Friday Messia shared a video of all the names of new joiners scammees, didn't he break GDPR regs with that?

DownThePan · 05/03/2019 08:48

@acatcalledjohn I wondered that too - all those names were so clearly visible when he scrolled back and forth

Sorry, I'm a latecomer to the thread - Who are these people you follow? I've got a bit of a morbid curiosity about them now!

Twentytwentyhindsight · 05/03/2019 16:48

Seem to remember Broke adding being pre-diabetic and having 'bowel issues' to his ever-evolving list of 'aliments' not so long ago.

Yet he's bragging about getting pissed up and having breakfast from Mc Donald's every morning - what a dick.

Classic Yawn. They buried her mother in laws ashes today. A brief mention of her mother in law and then a long post all about Yawn and discussing what she would want when she dies.

It's not always about you Yawn, it's a day of reflection about someone else.

Don't think Yawn has realised that just people share this planet with her.

BSintolerant · 05/03/2019 21:13

Does Yawn want her ashes buried in a yellow plastic aloe gloop container?

BSintolerant · 05/03/2019 21:18

Someone needs to tell her that her weird spacing is wrong on many levels. For example:

M U M / T H E R A P I S T

Oh dear.

WellVersedInEtiquette · 05/03/2019 21:30

Is partylite the same? I used to be an Avon bot but was never interested in recruiting. My upline had done a couple of other mlms and is now a herbalife bot. Another friend on fb has been sharing about her lot going on an all expenses paid trip to the Caribbean. Does your company do this? Erm. Well they pay me an actual wage so I can save for that so yeah!

FranceTeam · 05/03/2019 22:34

I watched a video posted by one of the people in the MLM selling coffee and supplements called TS I think?

Was very sad to watch as they struggled to sell the benefits of obviously poor products.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 05/03/2019 23:10

@FranceTeam - That'll be Total Shite-Life, Messiah's current venture.

Repackaged generic products, the highlight of which appears to be a chocolate mint shake.

OP posts:
BSintolerant · 05/03/2019 23:17

I'm waiting for Messiah to launch a communion wafer thin mint. :) Mmm ... maybe I'll wait for the second coming instead. Oh wait, no need to wait. Grin

UmBankroll · 06/03/2019 14:37

@9dartfinish2nd *One thing I have noticed that I find intriguing is that figures of the top UK FLP bots are in a different league to that of the top UK Nu Skin Bots.

I have previously found a Nu Skin bot who claims to be "free" but her company was dissolved by HMRC and another who claims to be a 6 figure earner but no trace of her can be found on Companies House.*

I asked 2 members of the (supposedly) high-earning Nu Skin bot family we discussed previously, and 1 of their direct downlines, about how they set themselves up as a registered business/self-employed/sole trader... All 3 - on separate occasions - told me ‘oh no hun you don’t have to do anything like that xx’ ...so I’m guessing a number of the NS bots aren’t paying tax on their life-changing incomes at all?! Confused

SSDGM · 06/03/2019 15:09

So it looks like the “Ignite” day full of bottage and unqualified life coaches hasn’t sold too well. The £450 VVIP tickets are now the same price as the VIP tickets. (£267)
Il be interested to see if it goes ahead. Derbybot (who is busy recruiting her backside off drawing in South African victims) still says she is speaking.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 06/03/2019 15:11

No mention of FL for months and then the day after I post on here wondering if she has got out of the MLM nightmare Roomie posts a clip of her chugging back the aloe shite.

9dartfinish2nd · 06/03/2019 15:42

@UmBankroll From what I can see from the handful of people i'm aware of who do actually make money in Nu Skin (The 1%) most, if not all do have LTD companies setup with pretty varied degrees of success. A few doing really well but some people I have to wonder if they are actually scraping by on enough to even cover the salary of the job they most likely quit to work for Nu Skin full time which is incredibly sad. The expenses racked up by these bots over the course of a year is likely to be quite substantial with travelling, accomodation etc.....it soon adds up. There are people in this company who have had 15 minutes of success and now it's all gone pear shaped and yet they continue to battle on trying to get back to the status they enjoyed previously of qualifying for success trips, speaking on stage at events etc......much like FLP the party ended a long time ago and someone needs to turn out the lights once and for all.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 06/03/2019 16:48

Is it just me, or does Yawn give off a D Trump vibe in the red baseball cap?
