Anyone up for an earn £10 a day challenge this year?

I was wondering if anyone would like to join me truth be told I really need the support!

Having DS has reduced my savings, and ability to save now that I'm paying for childcare. So my aim this year is to make £3650, or £10 a day which sounds far less terrifying.

I just thought this would be a great idea to share ideas for earning extra money and cheering each other on. Way better than just staring at a spreadsheet.

Soooooo here it goes.

Day One - £33.37/3650

£22.87 matched betting, and £10.61 Leapforce.

@GruffalosOldTrousers the thing is though, you can see where you made the mistake it's better than having no clue at all! Hopefully you'll come out with a profit.

It's fab news on the laptop, I've seen them go on eBay for about £200, bit I figure for the hassle involved I may as well take a look at a few sites to see if I can sell it off a bit more easily. It'll be gone by Sunday - can't be doing with it hanging around.

My 212 trading is hanging around the £60 mark still! So fingers crossed.

I suppose that's one positive @Otterses, although I was in a bit of a panic for a while. I've just left it hoping I've sorted it!

I've got my free share in HPE but it seems to have dropped in value from £14 to £12 already. We'll see where it is in 3 days!

I did manage to get £20 from Top Cashback when I registered with Coral though, so definitely richer than this morning...for now ;)

@GruffalosOldTrousers if you go to 'my bets' in Betfair it will how you of it has been placed properly. I've done exactly what you did but luckily checked there but before I hit confirm bet and had already done it! Good luck and hopefully it'll all work out fine. I'm going to do the stock thing tomorrow too so will use one of your links.

@BelladonnaKebab I was looking under 'my bets' and there was nothing there. I think it's because I wasn't looking in the Exchange. They are showing now so I'm hoping it's a panic over - as long as I didn't make a mistake in my panic!

Finding my bets on betfair has proven "interesting" for me, too! There's sportsbook which is a different place to the exchange, there are didn't buttons to see, open, closed, matched and unmatched...

Bloody hell, I've done it! £20 MB profit! Hurrah!!

@ChakiraChakra glad I'm not the only one! I'm still not sure about the difference between matched and unmatched on there, but I seem to be figuring the rest out.

@GruffalosOldTrousers matched and unmatched - because it's an exchange, a bet isn't valid on there unless somebody has bet the equal and opposite - so if you're trying to lay £10 that Arsenal (don't) win a match, you need somebody else to want to back them to win for £10. Most of the time it's instant, but it can take a while for some to get matched. If not matched at all then I think you're lay bet isn't taken - so it's with making sure they're matched before kick off. There is a strategy to minimise loss if it doesn't match, but I haven't needed to learn that yet!

I have signed up with OhMyDosh and have earned £14.50 already! It is extremely easy to use. I just hope all the 'Lightning Payments' via Paypal show up in the next few days.

The only downside is having to remember which subscriptions / trials to cancel to avoid monthly subscription fees. I need to make a list with the dates I need to go in and cancel. I also got a free £5.00 Amazon voucher for signing up to Amazon Prime, in addition to the £4.00 I was awarded by OhMyDosh. Very pleased!

Well done @GruffalosOldTrousers I'm glad it worked out ok! I still have a mini panic every time and I've been doing it for a few months and still only keep to football as I'm too scared to try horses! Am going to study horses before Cheltenham as this seems to be a huge money maker.

I second Mammabear's observation. For Prolific Academic you need to check back in the "About Me" section as they add extra questions from time to time. I filled in about 5 more facts about me and suddenly got 3 more surveys.

I have filled in my profile for PA, and then deleted it after a week. Neither made a difference. I have emailed them to ask why I had 11in a day and none since then. No reply yet!

It might be worthwhile mentioning Populus Live again.

Surveys are infrequent: I have just looked at my account and I get about three a month. They are quite well paid, though: between 1 and 4 pounds. They rarley take more than 15 minutes. They pay out by check when you get to 50 quid, so its a long game but I think it is ok.

I've had 2 surveys on PA this week totalling £3 but i've had it open almost constantly.

I've had a billion surveys pop up on User testing this morning but been screened out of all of them. Grrr!

Hello fellow moneymakers!

Just letting you know that I applied for my free share at Trading121 last night using someone's link on here and I was awarded my free share this morning, so in less that 12 hours of opening my account. I was awarded a free £14.38 share in Deutsche Telekom.

Now here is the complicated bit...what do we do next? I understand that in order to cash out we need to wait three days as the share is locked until then. Then what do we do? I know we must press the red X next to the free share to 'close the deal'. When we do that, will we just be cashing out the current value of that share? Or do we try to sell it and increase the value? Hellllllp! Anyone reached this stage yet with any tips?
