Spongebobette · 31/10/2018 20:40

This is the 44th thread in a long series about the dangers of network marketing/ MLMs such as Forever Living, Ariix, NuSkin, Arbonne, Younique, Valentus, TS Life, and MANY MANY more!
Posts here will give examples of the lies told by 'top bots' who portray luxury lifestyles in order to lure in new victims and of the other techniques and brainwashing used by MLMs
Over 90% of people who join an MLM end up LOSING money. Always bear that in mind when considering paying money to join!

Broke reckons he’s cured his torn quad by dribbling his magic CBD oil on it.

Is there ANYTHING CBD oil can’t do? It’s magical stuff. We should try applying it to Brexit. And the elderly social care system.

Spongebobette · 13/11/2018 12:40

It's really really bad.

And OF COURSE she's targeting mums with young kids. It's a very productive hunting ground for bots.

Donkey
Yes I am aware of her - she has been consistently in top ten/twenty for many years
She has never been fully on my radar as seemed to be only one that embraced the products ie doing triathlons etc and her social media presence is quite tame compared to the others.
However this does bring her under a different light - talk about targeting the vulnerable ffs

Paddy1234 · 13/11/2018 12:51

@ArbunneHun
😂😂

Absolutely laughing my pants off at the barrel-scraping promotional efforts of Herbalife. There’s a crappy post-baby weight loss story in the Daly M*l today. This “celebrity”’s weight loss has been achieved thanks to Herbalife! Who is this celeb, I hear you ask??? Why it’s Michaella McCollum of course!! Who??? Why one half of the ‘Peru Two’ pair of drug smugglers, that’s who!

SIGN ME UP, HERBALIFE HUNS!!!

9dartfinish2nd · 13/11/2018 14:13

So that Kerry Katona, Gemma Collins and now one of the Peru two.

Who are Herbalife going to use next?

Paddy1234 · 13/11/2018 14:49

Philip Green

There’s a great podcast that goes into the history of MLM’s called “The Dream”

cozietoesie · 13/11/2018 16:04

Thanks, brook.

.... The podcast, by Little Everywhere and Stitcher, has the best description of any I've seen. "What if we told you," its promotional text begins, "that with zero experience and only a few hundred dollars down, this podcast could change your life? Well, we'd be lying.".....

Tupperwarelid · 13/11/2018 16:12

Wow bargain of the year! For only £150 get a weekend in Edinburgh with castlebot’s brother learning how to be so successful you too can rent a room in a house share in London. It’s what dreams are made of people.

9dartfinish2nd · 13/11/2018 16:41

@ArbunneHun

You can almost smell the fear in the posts of the Nu Skin bots these days.

The lack of posts introducing new recruits joining the various teams around the country is glaringly obvious. So when the new blood dries up on top of a 50% to 80% MLM annual drop out rate, It's the beginning of the end.

Going from multiple posts a day on Facebook and Instagram to gaps of days and weeks in some cases.

Posting pictures from Car Showroom's, Ikea and Costa Coffee with your copy of the The Secret lying on the table is fooling no-one any more.

Gratitude and a positive mindset won't help you when the debt collectors come calling.

I’ve been unfriended by someone today. She asked for c9 recommendations so I said all she need to do is eat properly and exercise which she already does.
She is slim but likes people to tell her so.
I also said better things to spend £200 on before Christmas. Also to think about the message she is giving her child, she looks great but telling her child she doesn’t and that she is giving her child the message that an unreal body is what we should aspire to.
I was unfriended and blocked from that status within 1 minute.

cozietoesie · 13/11/2018 21:52

Good for you! 😀

ArbunneHun · 13/11/2018 21:53

Oh Tupperwarelid I might just be able to beat the £150 for a weekend with the least-successful Castle sibling: there’s a ‘Success Summit’ hosted by one of Salon’s favourite social media networking trainers this weekend. Tickets are all sold out, but don’t worry - you can watch it being streamed live for just £99 plus 20% VAT!

£120 to spend your weekend watching a manic moron in a tweed jacket gurn & gesticulate and give you information about “how to beat facebook’s algorithm” (which will be obsolete in about a week because they’ll tweak it again)...

Makes me wonder how much people paid to actually turn up in person to the Summit (held in a Jury’s Inn just off the A5)?

Paddy1234 · 13/11/2018 22:13

Great to see that Welsh is back to doing pamper parties - bet she thought she was above that now secretly 😂
Got to pay for the tax bill and the barn conversion

Tupperwarelid · 13/11/2018 22:34

Why does the best stuff always happen at the same time? It’s just not fair!

Paddy1234 · 13/11/2018 23:00

Do you know what really gets my goat and people fall hook line and sinker for it.
All the bots continually asking for recommendations to engage there social media followers with them
Uber is continually doing it now
As if she would take advice NOT and probably already knows the answer

Anyway Uber - the engagement is becoming less and less so all is good in the world. It must be weird with people no longer hanging onto your every word

It's going to be a massive downfall - will you ever lower yourself to get a normal job?

brookshelley · 14/11/2018 00:57

cozietoesie the podcast is really good. They have one of the producers join Limelife and go to a "leadership conference." They dig into the financials to show the vast majority of MLMers make no money or lose money. It's US-based so they talk about regulations that have been used to try and prosecute them. They talk about how some groups e.g. churchgoers seem more vulnerable than others.

It's really fantastic and I eagerly await the new episode every week!

brookshelley · 14/11/2018 01:00

On a separate note - my friend who is an Arbonne seller is really about to hit my limit. She posted this on Facebook:

"I'm supporting my friends and their small businesses this holiday season.🎄You can too. Check out the links below and see if there's anything that appeals to you.
🎁 Starting this month, I would like to buy as many gifts as I can from Facebook friends who own a small business... whether it's homemade crafts, handbags, jewelry, candles, clothes, art etc. Why not buy from those we know? I have a lot of friends who have their own businesses.🙋🏼‍♀️"

Two people have posted links: one is the person's own Arbonne page, and another is something called Nineteen95 which looks like another MLM.

Sorry these are not a "small business"

notsurewhatshappening · 14/11/2018 03:50

I think BBL might have forgotten to tell us she's Inn Barcelona...?

Shame on Bear Grylls and Craig David. How can they actually believe in JP?

There was a qualified nutritionist at the convention- my guess is that she's been boosted up the ranks to give JP some credentials.

notsurewhatshappening · 14/11/2018 04:25

Messiah is busy loving himself.

Nice bit of insomnia induced bot watching!

notsurewhatshappening · 14/11/2018 04:26

He calls himself the million dollar man 😂

BangingOn · 14/11/2018 08:03

Does anyone know which products TS have in their range? Did they manage to go beyond the mint choc shake?
