matched betting wins

Not sure where the matched betting thread has got to but wanted to share the happy news of mega profits over the last month. I mean, seriously mental profits - £310 on a slot literally the night before our modest week away in a cottage in Wales, meant I could treat the kids to all different activities/meals out etc without feeling guilty about spending money.

Then another £300 win the week after we got back - doing a slots offer where you spend £10 to get 10 free spins.

And then today - £229 on a slot game - doing another offer where the bookies match your winnings to £50!! Insane luck that I have never had before.

If you are doing matched betting - don't be too worried about taking a few risks. I started with £100 in a separate bank account back in April and now have around £1400 in total - and have spent quite a bit too in addition to that.

Makes a change from the previous 2 years of scrimping and saving because DH has not had as much work and matched betting fits in around my working full time. It's been bloody ace.

I don't understand how it works - it sounds too good to be true!

But we'll done op, enjoy the extra ££!

daytripper28 · 08/08/2018 18:06

it works - really. I will enjoy the extra ££ as have been cutting my own hair for 2 years in a bid to save money!!

Going shopping tomorrow with my 13 year old DD and looking forward to it...

Hmm
titchy · 08/08/2018 18:29

No need for the Hmm heartthistle. It's a real thing, and a decent money maker.

Well done OP - especially on the (I assume) Bet365 win - I only managed £20 on that with the same tomorrow.

I started MB a year and a half ago, and low risk casino around Easter this year - have just gone into 5 figures total profit Grin

daytripper28 · 08/08/2018 18:37

nice one

I haven't got round to doing 2 ups or the horse racing offers as quite often I'm at work with no access to internet etc but finding oddsmonkey reload offers pretty good.

Had the other win on Gala Casino offer on the Friday - worth doing 2 x £30 on the weekend.

5 figures is seriously impressive - good for you

If you haven't got Mr Spin, Mfortune or PocketWin yet get them - read the OM guides first though. But they're super lucrative with 100% reload offers - play roulette and do withdrawal dance.

mrsoutnumbered · 08/08/2018 18:51

Is there a beginners guide or an app or anything? I feel like it is too much for my sleep deprived brain to understand!!

titchy · 08/08/2018 19:10

Mrsoitnumbeted - try Odds Monkey or Profit Accumulator websites. Or google it! Essentially you're using the bookie's offer of a free bet or free spins on a slot to make money. Don't start with casino stuff though - start with standard sports matched bettjng till you know what you're doing, then branch out carefully if you want.

FrontRowSeat · 08/08/2018 19:15

Ooh tell me more about the casino stuff. I’m quite experienced at the sports betting but didn’t know what to do after the new account offers ran out. Would love to move onto the casinos Smile ps well done OP sounds like you deserve some treats x

VanDerWoodsen · 08/08/2018 19:23

I remember doing this at uni and got up to around £1500 which I was chuffed with at the time. I could never figure out how to make it sustainable though. Once you've gone round the sites and used the free bets, then what do you do?

titchy · 08/08/2018 19:53

After initial offers - reload offers! Such as Sky currently have bet £10 on Man U get £5 free, or Bet Bright bet £40 get £20 free. Bet clubs - eg paddy power and Coral bet £25 get £5 free each week. Check the promotions pages of the bookie websites. Or subscribe to OM and check the daily offers.

Casino offers - stick to low risk!!!! You are risking your own cash. At least to start with. The key is quantity. Most will yield you nothing, often you'll lose money, but if you do enough with positive expected value (bonus chum app for calculations, or do what's listed on OM community chat threads which list daily low risk offers), you only need a few big wins, like OP's to make you decent money.

Easy starters are William Hill who have several each day in the various tabs on their site. Ladbrokes and Coral do a daily cash drop. Gala casino do deposit £30 twice over the weekend for free spins. Mr Spin is brilliant for reloads, but make sure you know what withdrawal dance is. Paddy power and Betfair casino/arcade and games have a few offers each week. Dunder casino a couple of offers a week, as do BGO and Powerspins.

Watch out where cash rather than bonus used first - there are ways around this but you need to know about them.

And remember quantity is key, don't chase losses, you will lose some money sometimes, and any deposit for free spins offers, wager your deposit (blackjack best) once to keep the offers coming in.

TopperHarley · 08/08/2018 19:57

I need to get back into this. Did the betting side but never got into casino. It scares me a bit!

FrontRowSeat · 09/08/2018 11:31

Thank you titchy that’s fab Flowers

Happypuppy · 10/08/2018 13:59

Some great offers around today.

William Hill bet and get scratch card (on the Man U game)
Bet 365 offering free £25/50 on Sundays Man City game.
Sky bet £10 get £5 free bet on Man U Game

Among others! Yay football!

SparkleTwilight · 15/08/2018 13:24

I miss matched betting! I used to make a few hundred every month for over a year but most of my accounts eventually got gubbed (stopped getting offers). I had some brilliant slot wins too! Well done OP, may long it continue for you!

Flyingpompom · 16/08/2018 09:37

Can I ask...is the casino thing just gambling though? Or do you match it in some way? I can't afford to lose money, but if I can deposit £10 and know I'm getting it back, then it's worth a go.

greendale17 · 16/08/2018 09:40

I didn’t make any money on matche betting. A lot of people get lucky on the slot machines etc.

titchy · 16/08/2018 13:16

How do you NOT make money MB? Confused

casino is a risk. There are no guarantees. But if you do all casino stuff that statistically should be profitable, you will make money in the long run. However you can get losing streaks as well as winning ones, so if starting out stick to very low/no risk, and don't stake more than you are happy to lose.

SparkleTwilight · 18/08/2018 20:31

Most of the casino or slot offers I’ve done when MBing were offers or free spins that needed wagering. It’s not gambling as you don’t spend money but most of the time you don’t win anything either.

tangoed2 · 27/08/2018 20:20

I've been trying to decide whether to go for this or not for about a year 🙈 how much time per day do you realistically need to spend on it?

IndieTara · 28/08/2018 18:30

Following! Been wondering about this for a while

jemihap · 30/08/2018 06:27

I keep thinking about getting into MB'ing but it does sound a faff and requires quite a lot of time and organisational skills from what I can see.

Basically, for every one Matched Bet, you have to place 4 bets... a qualifying bet which has to be laid off (to qualify for your free MB), then your MB which also has to be laid off.

Presumably you'd have to be doing at least 4-5 MB's a day to make any meaningful money, so that's at least 20 bets a day, all with different accounts, that you'd have to be placing and keeping track of.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 30/08/2018 06:55

I’ve given up, it hasn’t worked for me at all well.

Although after saying that I haven’t been able to get my head round casino/slots so that probably doesn’t help.

Rubberduckies · 30/08/2018 07:32

I won £700 on a casino welcome offer once. That was a good day! The way I did it is that I used some money that I made (risk free) from proper matched betting to do the casino offers. Then I felt that it wasn't my money to risk if you see what I mean. But yes op is right, long term you make profit on casino offers, just might start on a losing streak....

I do it for a few months every so often because i Iose interest or work gets busy etc but I reckon I've made about £4000 over a couple of years.

If people ask me about it I always advise that they do a lot of reading and work out the maths behind it so that they know why and how it works. I also suggest that they have a separate bank account and that they start with money they can afford to lose (and pay this back to themselves asap). It's risk free if you do it right. If you press the wrong thing by accident because you rushed or don't read the terms and conditions properly, money can be lost. I lost £400 one day when I accidentally bet on the wrong thing and didn't realise. It was annoying but it wasn't my money I was risking.

CherryChatsworth · 30/08/2018 07:40

@IHeartKingThistle why comment with a face on something you clearly know nothing about? MB is not gambling - it's mathematical and you place a bet and then lay it off elsewhere - everything is calculated and you don't lose money

I did it two years ago and made 10k in 12 months. I stopped because it's time consuming, offers do eventually dry up and you get your accounts gubbed - even behaving like a normal punter doesn't seem to stop it in the end

But it's great while it lasts!
