matched betting wins

Not sure where the matched betting thread has got to but wanted to share the happy news of mega profits over the last month. I mean, seriously mental profits - £310 on a slot literally the night before our modest week away in a cottage in Wales, meant I could treat the kids to all different activities/meals out etc without feeling guilty about spending money.

Then another £300 win the week after we got back - doing a slots offer where you spend £10 to get 10 free spins.

And then today - £229 on a slot game - doing another offer where the bookies match your winnings to £50!! Insane luck that I have never had before.

If you are doing matched betting - don't be too worried about taking a few risks. I started with £100 in a separate bank account back in April and now have around £1400 in total - and have spent quite a bit too in addition to that.

Makes a change from the previous 2 years of scrimping and saving because DH has not had as much work and matched betting fits in around my working full time. It's been bloody ace.

Not sure why my paragraphs disappeared! Someone asked how long it takes. I started when I was off work for several weeks and definitely to start with it would take me a few hours to read up on an offer, open the account, make the qualifying bets and then use the free bet.

Now I've been doing it for some time I can usually do that in about 10minutes. I do have a spreadsheet programme I use called ultimatcher which lots of matched betters use to keep track of everything. If I'm doing matched betting one month I maybe spend an hour or so a day doing a few offers I've found for that day. Probably averages about an extra £500 a month but it's sometimes more, sometimes considerably less.

I used odds monkey to start with. Now I do it less often I just use the free sites, so matchedbettingblog, trickybets and freebets4all.

Have a look on boom when doing your xmas shopping as that way you have a chance of winning the full transaction back rather than a small percent on topcashback ect. I have won over 400 pound back since Feb and now they have ebay im doing all my xmas shopping through it. You simply buy as usual through the site like any other cashback site but you have a 1 in 25 chance of winning it back in cash into your paypal and even if you loose you get 50p bonus that adds up with your losses and you can withdraw when you withdraw your winnings. With special odds of 1:10 ect you will soon win. boom25.com/?referrer=525ca2aa-eb54-4034-a4d4-9e17e2617413

I used to do matched betting a couple of years ago, stopped because I'd used up all the beginner offers and it was difficult for me to go into more advanced accas etc because I don't live in the uk and the time difference made it awkward, so I wasn't making enough to be worth it.

I'm keen to have another go and do more of the slots offers this time - is odds monkey or profit accumulator better for these?

Hello! I'm just dipping a toe into this - have just placed my first qualifying bet, and free bets. The bit I really don't understand is the liability with betfair. Am I going to lose this money? Any advice welcome!

titchy · 06/09/2018 16:58

If the bet wins at the bookie you lose your liability. If it loses at the bookie you get your liability back. Don't take this the wrong way but you really shouldn't be doing anything unless you understand the concept of liability. It's a pretty key concept!

WLmum · 06/09/2018 17:27

I'm following the profit accumulator instructions and didn't find that well explained.

WLmum · 06/09/2018 17:35

Isnt the betfair liability fundamental to matches betting? I'm also starting small so as to minimise any losses but I'm a learn by doing person so thoughts is give it a go.

titchy · 06/09/2018 18:02

Yes liability is fundamental! At the exchange you're acting as bookie, so when Fred bloggs on the internet somewhere stakes £10 on Shergar with you he wants his money if the horse wins - that's the liability.

If you bet at Ladbrokes on Shergar winning and it does, you want your money - that's the bookie's liability.

WLmum · 06/09/2018 22:34

Thanks titchy all clear now, and I must have had a bit of beginners luck as I seem to have made £60 net profit!

Occtynoccty · 07/09/2018 02:47

There's no such thing as beginners luck with matched betting! You should be able to calculate your profit exactly before placing the bet. If you've made an unexpected profit it means you've either miscalculated or gone wrong somewhere. £60 would be a VERY high profit from a single bet. I think you need to read the instructions again or you'll be losing money next time!

For those of you struggling to make money or get your head round it, try Team Profit. It's a free website to join, and has easy to follow guides and plans. If you just start with the sports welcome offers there's no way you can not make any money as long as you follow the guides correctly. I started a month ago, having never placed a bet online before in my life, and have made around £650 profit so far. I spend around 1-2 hours a night, and more at the weekend.
