MLM Bot Watch 40 - Forever Living is 40! Yet still 99% of people in all MLM's lose money

Not making money with Forever Living?

Not making money with any MLM?

How to make money with Forever Living?
How to make money with MLM?

Maybe this report done for the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) by Jon M. Taylor, MBA, Ph.D., of the Consumer Awareness Institute may have the reason why.

www.ftc.gov/sites/default/files/documents/public_comments/trade-regulation-rule-disclosure-requirements-and-prohibitions-concerning-business-opportunities-ftc.r511993-00008%C2%A0/00008-57281.pdf

When someone urges you to join an MLM in their downline with tales of the riches you can earn, all they are trying to do is use you to earn themselves more money. They know the stats, they know you won't make money and you will lose money, and friends.

They will lovebomb you, be your best friend, be all over you and then drop you like a stone.

Look at the person who is your uplines facebook. See how the people who were tagged in her statuses a year ago the same way you are tagged now are doing. Are they still with the company? Many won't be. Those who are will still not be doing well, exactly the same as a year ago, or two years ago.

If you are in Forever living, check facebook for the global rally cheques of your upline, notice how they have been going down year on year? The market reached saturation point in 2015, it's downhill since then and things will get worse, not better.

Most MLM's in the UK are at the same point, we are not a huge country and MLM's have reached saturation point.

I don't know the ins and outs, but China has pretty strict rules regarding what may be construed as pyramid selling schemes. Well ahead of the UK in that respect.

ArbunneHun · 20/06/2018 14:23

Nu Skin has paid out millions in fines for pyramid selling in China...

The Chinese authoriites went after Herbalife and Nu Skin in a big way in 2014.

Has anyone heard from Cozie?

I don't know what happened but she hasn't been back on this thread has she?

Not to my knowledge @Kenny.

I don't know if anyone on here knows her IRL, but I really hope she's safe.

An important message for all Forever Business Owners in the Sheffield and Rotherham area.

Business Presentation
Dear ,

We are very proud of Forever’s business model and how the company constantly reflects on practices to ensure that they effectively support Forever Business Owners. Part of this process requires Forever to consider its marketing, events and services, ensuring these areas encourage growth and development in the field.

The Forever Business Presentation continues to be a huge asset to the company and it is important that meetings are well attended so that a busy, excitable atmosphere is achieved. For this reason, Forever has decided to streamline the number of meetings held across the country.

We will therefore be closing the Sheffield and Rotherham Business Presentations and the last meeting will be on Tuesday, 26th June. Please join me and Kev in thanking Charlotte X and Louise X for all their support in running the Business Presentation meetings this year.

Going forward …

In response to requests from FBOs in Area 170, we are organising a regular online Business Presentation. The first will be on Thursday, 12th July. Further information and registration will be posted on the Area 170 Facebook page

What's the opinion on Doterra?

Whiterangey · 20/06/2018 17:45

@Star1234567890 That is comedy gold, and it shows how bad things are doing that nobody is attending business presentations, i'm guessing because the amount of bots getting promotions have dropped so much that in each area there may only be one, if that, per month.

I'm guessing that a poorly attended meeting doesn't look good when you look at the photos. I've noticed that Uber/Bestie/Yawn meetings are getting less attendees each week. I wonder how long until they go online only.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 20/06/2018 18:12

@Whiterangey - The BPs are the 'introduction to FL' meetings that bots are told to bring their prospects to ASAP to show them how wonderful the opportunity is. It is where you are told you will be able to dazzle them and sign them up.

They are (were?) held weekly, and FL literature even explicitly tells the bots to lie about this fact to make out it was a rare opportunity in order to force the prospect's hand and make them attend.

All bots are strongly encouraged to attend, even if there is nothing in it for them, as the point is to fool prospects into thinking they are joining a vibrant and growing community.

My OH would do a one-and-a-half hour (each way) drive across London every Monday night to make up the numbers, even when she was earning FA.

If they are cutting back on them, it is not just that there are not enough promotions, it is that there are not enough willing bots or prospects to hide the tumbleweed. It's falling apart very quickly.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 20/06/2018 18:24

I see Broke's ex has broken her radio silence after the collapse of her latest scheme to announce she is flogging her vanity car.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 20/06/2018 19:11

At the risk of hogging this thread, I would point out to FLP bots raving about the fact that there appears to be a bag of one of their products in a picture of the Morocco football team's table that they have just been knocked out of the World Cup having scored no goals. Hardly a ringing endorsement for performance enhancement...

Twentytwentyhindsight · 20/06/2018 19:37

T'other odd thing about Broke's ex's car for sale is that it appears to have two different registration plates.

BSintolerant · 20/06/2018 20:47

Star1234567890 That is indeed comedy gold.

I also recall seeing that line about not cracking on there was a BP every week ... It always struck me as odd that anyone who signed up after attending a BP would soon become aware of this fact and alarm bells would go off, accompanied by red flags and funny feelings.

Forever Fibbing isn't long for this world is it?

BSintolerant · 20/06/2018 20:52

Malibeau Welcome, and good for you for ceasing to flog a dead horse.

Don't be ashamed either - anyone can be sucked in by a cult.

If anyone else is lurking and wants to say hello, please do. Sharing your story here could make someone see the light and quit before they end up in debt to fund their upline's lifestyle. You might even deter someone else from joining an MLM scheme in the first place.

Malibeau · 20/06/2018 20:56

@BSintolerant thank you Smile

Also the reason I ask about Doterra is because my sister has and still is very much into it and it honestly does my head in. She turned very vicious and persistent in trying to suck me in when I was considering The Body Shop at Home. My own sister Confused

BSintolerant · 20/06/2018 21:04

Isn't Doterra the aromasnakeoil lot who made outrageous claims about curing Ebola?

They're all a crock of shit. The sooner these foul MLM schemes are banned the better.

Malibeau · 20/06/2018 21:08

I'm not familiar with that story. But they do harp on an awful lot about how pure their oils are. Her Instagram stories are full of removing household cleaning products and medicines from her house and using oils instead Confused it's a load of crap!!

Tw1nsetAndPearls · 20/06/2018 21:12

Who is broke's ex?

YouOKHun · 20/06/2018 21:22

I tweeted about a Doterra being recommended by a bot as a miscarriage prevention intervention. Pretty dispicable.

YouOKHun · 20/06/2018 21:40

Malibeau so do I. The two big snakeoil MLMs Doterra and Young Living seem to be making more and outrageous claims, it’s as if they learned nothing from their big FDA ticking off for Ebola cure claims in 2014. If the corporate offices make mad claims it’s not surprising the bots get carried away.

rainbowfudgee · 20/06/2018 21:50

Ugh. I'm a member of a FB local selling get group. One of the members posted asking admin to block sellers from abroad, selling fakes and from MLMs.

Cue FL bot wading in with :

'Agreed. I'm in MLM and it's annoying.FYI pyramid schemes have been illegal since 70s. Network marketing- legal and government backed. People who refer to NM as pyramid selling haven't got a clue. '

Hmm
