Reading my own post again, I have some comp plan questions. Most of these are likely the same in all MLMs but I’ve never given the details much thought before.

Is the unit amount referring to you own sales or inclusive of your downline?

Do you get a % of every sale your downline makes or does their existence just allow you a greater % commission of your own?

Are nurses (and similar professionals) actually allowed to participate in external work? (Especially work which may involve promoting snake oil.)

The Nurses thing really gets to me, and i'm guessing everyone else.

Everyone loves nurses, hardworking, low pay, the whole saving lives and wiping arses thing. They are awesome.

To scam such hardworking and awesome members of society into Forever Living makes me really angry.

Yawn knows this, she knows that nurse she is parading around on her facebook to get the 'Awwww, you are helping nurses' vibe going will likely be losing money from the deal.

In case anyone missed it - I don't believe we had an update today - Yawn didn't get a cheque in Dallas.

Yawn must have got a massive cheque as she won the popular vote for Worcester Women's awards - that means to the uninitiated that she is REALLY popular. I wonder who will get it this year. I wonder if they will run it again as surely there isn't anyone as popular as Yawn.

I hate votes being rigged like that.

Whenever someone has spammed forums and groups with 'vote for my baby' and a link, I always go to the site, look through the babies and choose whatever baby I like the most, usually one that is making a funny face or something like that. Never the baby they have spammed asking for a vote.

Of course if it's something like a mum of the year thing and a friend is asking for votes for someone they know and there is a good story attached i'll be a good friend and vote for that person.

How do you get a mortgage/ rent certainty on MLM income? I appreciate that those (very few) who received a large cheque could, in theory - and subject to other commitments - fund a house purchase or a deposit, but how about the rest? How would a lender react?

It is easier now to get a mortgage if you are self-employed. I can see how someone like Yawn or Yawn’s Bestie could get one on the basis of a decent deposit and a couple of years of decent turnover.

Rely on your husband's income and mortgage yourself up to the hilt?

Re. Messiah's comp plan, Banging & Sponge have hit the nail on the head- there are 20 gazillion specific ways of getting paid percentages and percentages of percentages, but of what these percentages are, no one is any the wiser.

I think the plan has been subjected to more scrutiny here than any of Messiah's excitable devotees will, and we are not really any the wiser.

But Eeeeeeek! Who cares, it's the game changer we've all been waiting all our lives for! Where do I sign up!

Isn’t fl an amazing company allowing Uber to take the day off to look after her poorly baby. Never mind the baby is 9 months old and Uber was already scamming more people for them 2 weeks after giving birth.
