MLM Bot Watch 36 - Those who think it's ok to tell white lies soon become colourblind

36 Lies to reel you in...

  1. They will tell you that you will have time freedom in this business. Two weeks later they will tell you the business won't work unless you do.

When it's a business event they will not accept excuses for you missing it and will set an example by missing their child's first birthday or telling you a story of how they once shit themselves in white trousers on the front row at success day because they were poorly but didn't want to miss it.... You will know quickly that the unspoken rules is 'no excuses on success day's.

Kathy can you pm me Brokebot and Messiah Bot's names?

Botsbotsbots · 31/03/2018 16:42

Ladiva what was interesting in Welshbots live?

FuckYouDailyMail · 31/03/2018 16:56

PMing the names is against MN's rules in the same way using their real names on these threads are so tread very carefully.

Botsbotsbots · 31/03/2018 17:32

Oh right I didn't realise...how do people just 'know' who brokebot is then? Wig and sleaze is (genius) obvious but not sure about the others...

FuckYouDailyMail · 31/03/2018 17:39

I think a lot of us have no idea who most of them are. Can't say it bothers me personally as the fact so many follow the same old sad script of fake it and lies makes it all more powerful.

Whiterangey · 31/03/2018 17:59

Despite the amount of Ponzi's that Wig and Sleaze are involved in, and have been involved in, they never appear to make money from them.

I have a feeling that while they aren't nice people, they also aren't very smart. With so many Crypto-Ponzi's about now, you have to get in right at the beginning and be at the very top to scam well from them.

They also wasted a lot of time, and a lot of money on GCC, which is a lot stupid.

It is also funny how Wig asking how much everyone spends on their car each month didn't go the way she wanted.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 31/03/2018 18:17

Tbh, I don't even know how to send or receive pm's on MN. Long timers on this thread have been quite inspired in the monickers adopted for most of those under scrutiny, which helps place whoever it is.
I suppose it helps that a lot of my J.O.B. Involves internet research, but the bots really are not that hard to find from public stuff, such as MLM's own 'success tables', or events that have made it into the public domain, such as the Trading Standards investigation of Valentus. Making the links can be a quite entertaining way of spending otherwise dead time online.

ArbunneHun · 31/03/2018 18:23

Broke has beef with Messiah. Mixture of jealousy, belief that Messiah is a scam artist (er...) and a profound need for attention/drama.

They went through a phase of pass-agg posting about each other on FB, which was entertaining.

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 31/03/2018 18:26

Well I never it's time for another C9 cleanse for Yawnbot .

When was the last one? January maybe? Anyone would think that they don't work or what little result you get doesn't last Wink

ArbunneHun · 31/03/2018 18:27

...or you desperately need the CCs!

Norma27 · 31/03/2018 19:24

Just by looking at her you can see how well c9 works! Especially approx 6 times a year. And that is with 2hrs a day at gym and filters!!

Twentytwentyhindsight · 31/03/2018 19:53

C9 - rope in enough of your clients/downline to cover the cost of yours 'share the effort', starvation diet for 9 days, accompanied by extra laxatives, whooping & eeking at weight lost, followed by rebound back to old weight.
End result: FLP & upline income boosted, self-confidence deflated.
A box of starvation actually costs considerably more than the food you're not eating - pay to deprive yourself!

Whiterangey · 31/03/2018 20:10

Exercise won't make you lose weight for the most part. The calories you burn exercising are negligible and even the most energetic session can have the calories lost returned with a chocolate bar.

It has to be calorie restriction. Which is why C9 works while you are doing it.

There is absolutely nothing magic that will work for weight loss. It's calories in and calories out. If you are ingesting more calories than you burn you will gain weight.

Yawn doesn't lose weight and has appeared to have gained some because of that. She uses peanut butter in shakes, which I have done myself for someone who needed to put on weight as it's very high calorie for a small amount. It's high in protein, but that doesn't mean low in calories. The magic forever whatever will not make you magically lose weight.

I also abhor the fatshaming aspect of it all. Selling very very expensive products aimed at women who want to reach some kind of ideal that society says we should be. Then they talk about empowering women.

Whiterangey · 31/03/2018 20:14

@Twentytwentyhindsight Has your partner ever used the C9? Is there a lot of pressure on the bots to be thin? Is the laxative you are talking about the Aloe or do they add other ones in to show more weightloss?

That is very troubling and very very harmful.

Sean1984 · 31/03/2018 20:33

I just had a consultation yesterday with a good gym, meeting them next week to work on my meal plans and to teach me how to calorie count,,, thats how you lose weight , not forking out 200 for a shitty shake every 2/3 bloody months that gives you the shits!!!

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 31/03/2018 21:03

Thinking about it, very few of the FL bots I follow are slim or have a body I would aspire to, even the ones that apparently go to the gym every day and double up on classes.

Hardly a good advert. That combined with the fact that they (and their kids) are always ill!

Twentytwentyhindsight · 31/03/2018 21:17

@Whiterangey - I am not privy to the actual conversations/pressures that uplines put on bots. As far as I am aware, there is no explicit pressure to be thin, just the general pressure to project an 'ideal life' (including health/fitness) achieved through the promotion and use of the products.
There is a general 'C9 season', to ride on people's New Year resolutions to lose weight/get healthy. My OH would always advertise that she would be doing one as part of her annual 'detox' in January, desperately trying to drum up custom for a big ticket item that would make up a large part of the required 'CCs' for the month.
The reality was that she would manage to convince one person to 'go on the journey' with her - not enough to cover her own outlay.
She would (understandably, given that she was starving herself) be in a foul mood for the duration, while posting about how 'you have to really want it' and 'feeling it working'. She would post scrupulously honest results of hip/thigh/upper arm measurements throughout - which, of course dropped for the duration - but there has been no long- term effect on her average weight.
Re. the laxatives, I was referring to one of the only demonstrated effects of ingesting aloe, not to any further such agent (although I cannot vouch for whatever makes up the 'replacement nutrition shakes' that come with the C9.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 31/03/2018 21:23

Oh, and the daily updates of her 'progress' would attract nowt but tumbleweed once the upline had satisfied herself that there were no more takers to be roped in m from that particular exercise.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 31/03/2018 21:42

Whiterangey, in case it was the way I formulated it, the "extra laxatives" referred to increased consumption of the gloop over the period of the C9.

Whiterangey · 31/03/2018 21:46

Really pleased it's just the Aloe acting as a laxative and not additional ones.

I do think it's great that the C9 will detox you. All of those boffins who have been trying to cure liver failure. All those people suffering from liver failure. No more liver transplants, all you need if your liver fails is to do the C9 as that will detox your body.

I'm surprised that trading standards have never gotten involved in detox claims for things.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 31/03/2018 21:56

It is into those 'grey areas' such as 'wellness', 'detox', 'immune/whatever support' etc. that the MLM snake oil purveyors slither. Getting as close as they can get away with to making illegal health claims.
The clever bit is that the business model inevitably encourages the bots to overstep the boundary, so the claims are actually out there,at which point the company can wash its hands of them if anyone cries foul.

Whiterangey · 31/03/2018 23:23

The claims of detox are everywhere, Yawn has just made one. It smashes the toxins that surround fat cells.

C9 Detox gets lots and lots of results on facebook, but as you say, Forever are in the clear as they just market it to kickstart weightloss.

They describe it as a calorie controlled diet and exercise programme and nothing in there about toxins at all as those claims would obviously be false. Although I cannot see any evidence of them telling their business owners not to say it detoxes as it is all over facebook, and top bots like Yawn are using the term. Surely they must know. Although i'm guessing not saying it themselves is enough to keep them legally compliant.

Lots of people claiming it melts fat away, which would be physically impossible I imagine.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 31/03/2018 23:29

Heavy duty acids or alkalis will literally 'melt' fat away, as in the stuff you might use to unblock drains, but I don't think even the most irresponsible MLM would recommend ingesting that sort of stuff!

Whiterangey · 01/04/2018 01:38

What about applying to the skin? Okay, it may cause some chemical burns and other mild side effects like death, but at least it will make you thin!

ArbunneHun · 01/04/2018 11:14

Post from Salon lamenting the ‘unethicalness’ of networkers, complaining that it’s all bitchiness, witch hunts and exaggerated income claims. No mention of lying to your downline about product being illegal and recruiting under false pretences though...
