36 Lies to reel you in...

  1. They will tell you that you will have time freedom in this business. Two weeks later they will tell you the business won't work unless you do.

When it's a business event they will not accept excuses for you missing it and will set an example by missing their child's first birthday or telling you a story of how they once shit themselves in white trousers on the front row at success day because they were poorly but didn't want to miss it.... You will know quickly that the unspoken rules is 'no excuses on success day's.

The highest level people know that The Organisation will fund them as long as they keep smiling, keep those teeth white, keep the roots touched and sing the company's praises. After all, there's no shortage of funds up there.

It's all there on Companies House, Dora. Two deferred winding up orders, followed by 'voluntary' insolvency.
Most of the top bots are wily enough to know that their (ahem) castles are built on sand. The sand is very much shifting, so whether they choose to bury their heads in it or not will not change the outcome.
Just keep smiling & wishing it away!

Spongebobette · 25/03/2018 19:45

It seems that not all the top bots (in the top 10 list) have companies listed at Companies House.

Presumably you don't have to register as a business, you can just declare your income on your tax return?

ArbunneHun · 25/03/2018 19:58

I think it was @Barnbot who said that FLP are quite hot on encouraging IBOs to manage their tax affairs quite tightly - I think there’s a specialist MLM accountancy company that they are encouraged to use and they provide guidance/training. That said, IBOs are responsible for their own tax affairs...

crumpetsfortea37 · 25/03/2018 20:26

Quick question about promotions in Flp - once you are made a manager do you stay a manager for life? What happens if your down line withers and dies? Do you have to keep recruiting? Buying the product? In fact, what do you do once you have made manager?

So there’s no minimum expectation for sales or recruitment or CCs once you are anointed as a Manager?

Whiterangey · 25/03/2018 21:14

@ArbunneHun That makes sense of what i've seen, a lot of bots with the same accountants.

I imagine FL urge them to use the special accountants so that things like owing 6 figures worth of tax doesn't happen. That doesn't make FL or their bots look good.

Showing off an awesome lifestyle and then it's found out to be funded by non payment of tax is not a good look.

cozietoesie · 25/03/2018 21:19

Maybe The Revenue were being .......provocative? They're given to 'Think of a figure and then double it' if they're not happy with the cut of your jib. Wink

Whiterangey · 25/03/2018 21:20

@DoraExplorer99 So you can only lose a manager when that manager resigns?

From what I can work out to go up the levels in the Chairman's Bonus you need to have a certain amount of managers under you. Given that a few people, Yawn included, fell from Level 2 to Level 1 last year there must have been a loss of managers. They must have just given it up.

It must be bad if managers are leaving in those kind of numbers.

BSintolerant · 25/03/2018 21:28

She's wound up her company voluntarily. The reason she's done it is because it's illegal to trade as a limited company if the company is insolvent or in danger of becoming so.

It might take her Forever to Achieve financial freedom. (There's a cryptic sentence if ever there was one.) Wink

Bots who don't operate their so-called businesses as limited companies run the risk of bankruptcy. You can search for bankrupt bots, those with IVAs, or Debt Relief Orders here:

www.insolvencydirect.bis.gov.uk/eiir/

It's worth noting that if a bot is declared bankrupt or enters into an IVA they're not allowed to act as company directors for the period of their bankruptcy / IVA.

ReformedBot · 25/03/2018 21:38

InsolvencyBot shows no signs of slowing down though, so what does this really mean? Will her tax bill become void? Can she just continue scot-free by registering a new business name?

Sorry, that first sentence should read: Bots in financial trouble whodon't operate their so-called businesses as limited companies run the risk of bankruptcy.

@Whiterangey - 'manager' is not much to write home about. In the case of my OH, all it involved was (for once) not having to pay to attend a Success Day (travel & accommodation not included, of course) and walking across a stage wearing a tacky nylon sash.
At the time FL literature described 'manager' level as equating to £800-£2000 monthly income. The reality over many years is that, even using 'wishful' accounting, she has averaged half of the lower figure.
It would be no surprise that there is a high turnover even at such an exalted level, given the amount of graft involved for truly paltry returns.
I know kids doing paper rounds that are in a similar income bracket.

BSintolerant · 25/03/2018 21:44

She could try, but she may want to consider this: www.companyrescue.co.uk/guides-knowledge/guides/starting-a-new-company-post-liquidation-a-guide-for-directors-3799/

Dora what happens if a manager doesn't do their 4CCs?

Twenty your comparison with kids doing paper rounds sums it up perfectly.

Such a clever system, it forces you to spend your own money if you haven’t managed to make the sales

Thank @Dora, it’s much clearer to me now

Spongebobette · 25/03/2018 22:02

Makes me suspect the ‘delvering these fab products to my customers’ posts.
Perhaps they are just bought by the bot to fulfil the 4CCs
And no wonder the bots give each other FL products as incentives etc

Brokebot’s travel page has had a name change. Still not a single holiday offer on there yet.
