36 Lies to reel you in...

  1. They will tell you that you will have time freedom in this business. Two weeks later they will tell you the business won't work unless you do.

When it's a business event they will not accept excuses for you missing it and will set an example by missing their child's first birthday or telling you a story of how they once shit themselves in white trousers on the front row at success day because they were poorly but didn't want to miss it.... You will know quickly that the unspoken rules is 'no excuses on success day's.

But is that brand new car her car as in purchased? Or is it just a leased "fake it til you make it" carrot to lure in more recruits?

Can you tell if a car is leased from the registration number? It's just that she had a live on her feed where they unveiled the car but the number plate cover fell off and revealed it. I've noticed she's now deleted that live so why she is she worried about people seeing the reg??

BangingOn · 24/03/2018 12:47

Some lease cars have the name of the lease company on the plates, where the name of the dealership might otherwise be.

Norma27 · 24/03/2018 12:49

I would definitely think it is leased but could be wrong. I don’t know if you can tell from number plate . It could be that she doesnt want people knowing the reg as people can be funny about that.

Nothing wrong with leasing cars, many of my friends do. I am too skint for that so drive an old banger!! Just be bloody honest tho!

spanfan · 24/03/2018 12:57

Wow. Definitely a large dose of narcissism.., whoever owns the damn car. 😂😂

SerenSmith · 24/03/2018 13:33

Not sure if this has been mentioned but a black status younique bot has posted pics of her new House...a google search brings up that it’s a rental at £2.2k a month (up north) do we think younique will be paying that as they did with the castle?

I can't think of any other walk of life where people would think such a display is acceptable, let alone a good idea.
"Look at what I have been able to get myself from your hard toil & tears. If you carry on working hard & put aside your doubts, next year I will be able to do the same again!"

BSintolerant · 24/03/2018 15:46

This so-called attraction marketing isn't acceptable in any walk of life: it's utterly repulsive. In this case it's a symptom of desperation to recruit. How many people have got themselves into debt to fund her life?

cozietoesie · 24/03/2018 15:50

This is what appals me about MLMs. Where do people think the money actually comes from?

Twentytwentyhindsight · 24/03/2018 16:48

The magic Mormon aloe tree.

Spongebobette · 24/03/2018 17:02

I have seen that particular top bot recruit and groom many new underlings, most of whom disappear quietly after a few months.

Imagine how galling it must be for them to see such a crass display when you have been told how brilliant the opportunity is for YOU but you’ve ended up worse off and have pissed off everyone you know.

Norma27 · 24/03/2018 17:36

Teaching kids to fake it til you make it too. Visualise something and live life like you have it already. Yep law of attraction showing fake lives.

Whiterangey · 24/03/2018 17:45

A car identical to what she has can be 'bought' for as little as £2000 down. Payments can be 3-600 a month for 3 or more years, and then at the end you either pay around £15000 to keep the car or give it up and get a different one. Given that she no longer has the car she had, i'm guessing the plan is to give it up.

Jonsey32 · 24/03/2018 18:23

I don’t get this visualising thing.

My son sat on, and then pissed all over his paw patrol truck today (he’s 2) ..... does that mean something deep? Was he putting out in the universe something that he wants to attract?

I dont get how buying a phone case is some sort of visualisation.

Whiterangey · 24/03/2018 18:30

She didn't visualise anything, she came up with a plan that would greatly increase her chances of getting the phone. Two things going in her favour, she spent her own money and that would work well on a parent who wouldn't want their child to have wasted their money. It's also pretty impressive, and a parent would be impressed with that and it would likely work in the child's favour. I'd give her the phone as opposed to selling it just because she is smart and cheeky, a winning combination.

Visualisation is when you lay there visualising someone's cancer leaving their body and concentrating as hard as you can to make it happen. I'm sure i'm not the only one who has done that. It doesn't work. Why would the universe give some people houses, cars, and sparkly shit because they visualise it, yet refuses those who visualise cancer to be gone? Or those who want a baby, or anyone who visualises anything that isn't material goods?

The universe must hate everyone but those who are in MLM's. Even then the universe hates 99% of everyone in MLM's, as they never get what is on their vision board.

Jonsey32 · 24/03/2018 18:35

It sure as hell felt like the universe hated me today when I was mopping wee wee out of his paw patrol truck.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 24/03/2018 18:38

Funnily enough, all her mates with JOBs could afford what was on my OH's dream board, as an MLM bot, she couldn't.
There's the power of the Law of Attraction: believe this crap and you will receive crap.

moose23ishungry · 24/03/2018 18:52

Don't really get the connection between "two years of bullies getting in my head" and "I have successfully leased this car".

I feel sorry for the bot kids- they're in for a shock when they hit the real world, after their parents have crashed and burned, and they have to learn to budget and save for things, not to mention get a JOB.

Mielabel · 24/03/2018 20:13

My thoughts exactly. I didn't understand how her daughter was doing the law of attraction with the phone case and the connection between Yawn being 'bullied' and leasing a new car... came on here to see if I was the only one confused!

I feel sorry for any children growing up believing in the LOA. It did me enough harm in my twenties when I followed it as part of my MLM phase, I dread to think what believing it young and joining the 'real world' with those set of beliefs will be like. Hopefully they will be sensible and not follow in their parents footsteps with MLMing, scamming and pretending they are far more successful than they are, let alone thinking whatever material things they want will come to them if they stick a pic of it on their cork board.

Twentytwentyhindsight · 24/03/2018 21:13

I think the higher up bots like Yawn are much too clever/experienced to actually believe in the LoA.
They know which side their bread is buttered on, and that the material possessions they flout come from the losses of others.
The LoA is a very useful tool to keep their downlines plugging away, desperately working on 'wanting it enough' to finally attract success, without questioning the 'business model'.
It's the ultimate victim-blaming tool, and it feeds a lucrative sideline in LoA 'mindset coaching' to squeeze even more out of the hapless victims.

Speaking of growing up in MLM families. Here in the US we’ve just witnessed the home-schooled son of a very involved Amway family carry out a series of bombings in Austin, TX. He was 23 and unemployed despite claims that he was smart and a computer geek. Wonder how he felt about Mom and Dad’s biznis? Of course everyone says “they were a totally normal family”...ha!

cozietoesie · 24/03/2018 22:17

What does 'home schooling' constitute in the States, sshuga ? Is there, for example, moderation and supervision by the school district?

Sean1984 · 24/03/2018 23:18

So yawn got a new car thru a lease agreement, wow amazing stuff altogether ,sooooo same as most people who buy brand new cars do,thru bank loans or leasing or pcp agreements ,big wow with bells on top. Slow clap...its like looking at a childs facebook page, these people say their “business owners” and “entrepreneurs” ( please use these terms loosely) and plaster the new leased car all over their page, its like watching 10yr olds playing grown up, showing off things like a new car, something nearly anyone with a JOB can do. Like when they show their pay cheques,i dont see them doing that anymore,at one stage they were always showing the cheques but used to cover the amount, because we all know it was shit low amounts. Again “business owners” , what kind of buiness owners put up photos of their cheques..Confused

sshuga · 25/03/2018 03:42

@cosietoesie it varies by state. Here are the requirements for Texas- The instruction must be bona fide (i.e., not a sham).
The curriculum must be in visual form (e.g., books, workbooks, video monitor).
The curriculum must include the five basic subjects of reading, spelling, grammar, mathematics, and good citizenship.
