MLM Bot Watch 36 - Those who think it's ok to tell white lies soon become colourblind

36 Lies to reel you in...

  1. They will tell you that you will have time freedom in this business. Two weeks later they will tell you the business won't work unless you do.

When it's a business event they will not accept excuses for you missing it and will set an example by missing their child's first birthday or telling you a story of how they once shit themselves in white trousers on the front row at success day because they were poorly but didn't want to miss it.... You will know quickly that the unspoken rules is 'no excuses on success day's.

www.colourmebeautiful.co.uk/training-academy

There’s another new one!

Read the description. £129 to join and a day’s training to become a “fully qualified” personal stylist.
Found a bot who is saying there’s just 20 places left at the top of the pyramid for founding members...

SpringHen · 08/03/2018 21:17

lol colour me beautiful is not new..
Its been around probably as long as Avon & Tupperware

OhMyGodTheyKilledKenny · 08/03/2018 22:28

Exactly Dora.

I get 6 weeks sick leave on full pay. That's 6 weeks where I don't have to even think about work let alone do any. I reckon a bot wouldn't even get 6 hours before their upline was on their back.

BTW I think this bot should be known as Tawdrybot as that's how I always read her name, plus it kind of fits with the whole MLM thing (tawdry="showy but cheap and of poor quality")

Bovneydazzlers · 09/03/2018 06:40

Obviously I hate the MLM connection and no idea of the quality of the product, but the Colour me Beautiful £129 (kit and one day course) seems like you get far more as your ‘starter kit’ than other MLMs (4 foundations, 6 lipsticks, lipliner, mascara, eye pencil, lipliner, primer). Also already a known brand.
I can see a lot of people buying the starter kit at parties rather than individual products.

ArbunneHun · 09/03/2018 07:30

I’ve asked the travel investigators/research team here to have a look at the travel MLMs and to let me know what protections (if any) consumers buying a holiday via their unqualified mate on Facebook would have. I’ll keep you posted.

cozietoesie · 09/03/2018 12:31

Thanks, Arbunne.

Moose23ishungry · 09/03/2018 14:46

@spanfan I totally agree. I downloaded a kindle sample of a very well educated bot's book and it's full of the same tripe that is on said bot's Facebook page. Just ramblings about her awful life before MLM, and how it changed things for her.

Also loved that apparently her company turned over £4.5m. Yet companies house shows that her business was almost subject to a compulsory strike off for not filing accounts - then the accounts appeared and they tell a completely different story to the book.

The most successful are usually smart and attractive, and they like to reel in women who may not have the smarts to see through the love-bombing that they bestow upon their recruits.

SSDGM · 09/03/2018 15:12

Brokebot is claiming his travel business has “errors and emissions”(sic) insurance.

I have NEVER heard of that in over 20 years in the industry.

Spongebobette · 09/03/2018 15:23

I think you’ll find it’s ‘emmissions’

🤣🤣🤣

darceybussell · 09/03/2018 15:50

Is emissions insurance in case you get poisoned by fumes whilst on the plane?

SSDGM · 09/03/2018 16:11

It looks like it's an American thing to pay legal fees if they get sued. It's most definitely not anything that holds any weight in the UK. You mess up the booking as an agent, you pay. That's it. I've known of retail agents get sacked from very large agencies because they caused their employers write-offs from misselling or errors. If these high-street names can't get insurance then someone at home trying to put together a trip on a laptop without any proper training or knowledge is screwed.

BSintolerant · 09/03/2018 18:47

Are these emissions nocturnal? Grin

ArbunneHun · 09/03/2018 18:55

These ‘let’s play... travel agents!’ MLMs are just litigation waiting to happen. You would be mad to book through someone like Broke, untrained, no backing, uninsured...

ArbunneHun · 09/03/2018 19:11

Also - genuine question - why is asking about whether the Ariiiiiiiix travel scheme is ATOL & ABTA protecting ‘trolling’? If I spent a couple of grand on a family holiday, I’d want to know that I’d get repatriated/my money back if the company went bust.

entrepeneur · 09/03/2018 19:50

I really hope no one would be mad enough to part with cash for a holiday purchased through an MLM. I read some awful reviews for holidays booked through Barrhead Travel which is the company Brokebot is banging on about merging with his TravelMLM

MLMsuperfan · 10/03/2018 11:42

Brokebot is leaving product-based MLMs. His Organo Gold team haven't been getting paid, and although he is, his morals won't allow him to continue.

fitgirl26 · 10/03/2018 13:18

Brokebot's Ex is eeeeeking about a new Bitcoin Ponzi business. Having worked her way through Traffic Monsoon, Lifetree World, Valentus, Vitae Global, Edinar, Organo and Usi-Tech she's now found the right one for her.

Kathysclown · 10/03/2018 13:30

Brokebot's latest live is painful in it's honesty, and shows the heart of the MLM reality. I admire him for being so revealing about what the real pressures are regarding recruitment, lack of payment etc. I feel sorry for him, and anyone else caught up in it all.

SSDGM · 10/03/2018 14:24

Hmmm. I’ll believe it when I see it.

entrepeneur · 10/03/2018 14:59

Interesting comment about payment being made two months in arrears. So much for Fripay; we get paid 7 ways; we get paid every 3 hours etc

cazzyg · 10/03/2018 18:48

Barrhead travel is a reputable agency with all the usual ABTA and ATOL protections.

I did come across an interesting article www.travelweekly.com/Agent-Issues/From-the-start-family-run-Archer-Travel-has-been-a-thrill-ride-for-owners/287573

Travel Leaders Group is acquiring Barrhead Travel, not Archer Travel from what I can see. However Archer seems to be an affiliate of Travel Leaders.

BangingOn · 10/03/2018 18:59

I’ve read MessiahBot’s status from this morning 3 times and it’s still gibberish. His downline seem to like it though.

Ladiva1971 · 10/03/2018 19:08

Has broke removed his live? I can't see it anymore?

SSDGM · 10/03/2018 19:14

Yep, that and the follow up have gone

MLMsuperfan · 10/03/2018 19:40

Perhaps his upline had a word.
