Thread 34 may be no more;
Thread 35 is quite alive.

Let's make sure it stays that way.

This thread is here to expose the garageful of lies pedalled by multi level marketing (network marketing) schemes, i.e outrageous health claims, unlimited wealth and residual earnings, to name but a few.

@reformed I'm so sorry. That is absolutely awful! I also borrowed money that I could not afford and also one Christmas I had nothing for the children and my mum had to help me out.
I was told by my upline there was no excuse for having no money because I had a product to sell for a profit. I don't think I need to explain that nobody wants shitty aloe Vera at Christmas time.

Spongebobette · 22/01/2018 21:22

I would be really offended if anyone gave me sodding Forever Living products as a present!

previouspidgeon89 · 22/01/2018 21:28

Long time lurker from the pidgeon team.

Reading this thread has been so refreshing, I too was sucked into the pidgeon team. Can totally relate to you MumBlog4 especialy.

I stopped last January or as they would say "gave up." I've never looked back but I still get messages from my upline and sometimes I can still feel myself getting sucked back in.

Thank god i've found this thread to help me stay strong and resist the bots.

WindyTriller · 22/01/2018 21:33

Thanks @ReformedBot that sounds like a really tedious task!

Spongebobette · 22/01/2018 21:34

Stay strong!

Also how much might someone make in that approx 18.5 hours of work a week after expenses?

I work those hours in a public sector job just a lowly admin job and I earn £10k so just wondering for comparison! After all you'd be led to believe that they earn mega bucks.

cozietoesie · 22/01/2018 21:38

Welcome, previous. Smile

Might I ask what causes you to 'falter' and maybe be about to get sucked back in? (If you've identified it that is.)

MumBlog4 · 22/01/2018 21:40

Hiiiiii @pidgeon 😘please tell me you had a flappy flag at success days Wink

I'm glad you have stayed away, it's even harder now than it used to be. I think Flp has some really professional looking top bots and that makes it easier to get sucked into than other MLMs, but the general public, with the help of these threads and the massive anti mlm movement picking up on social media, are getting wise to the mlm techniques and most tend to avoid.

You only "gave up" something that was no longer serving you. Don't listen to their manipulation.... smile and wave.... bye huns Wink

Spongebobette · 22/01/2018 21:41

I’ve just been snooping on a FL bot’s page, she’s a fairly new recruit in a big bot’s downline

It’s amazing really, the excitement and positivity she keeps posting, even saying that when she hears ‘nos’ she reminds herself of her success

She claims to be making 100 quid a week and only started in Nov. Not sure if that’s profit though!!

And she has 3 people interested in joining her team apparently (or does that mean she’s harassed three of her friends/ family constantly and is wearing them down?)

MumBlog4 · 22/01/2018 21:42

Windy, probably about 100 quid a month. If you were lucky. It really isn't easy to make money, even harder once you start deducting costs.

Spongebobette · 22/01/2018 21:44

I think it must be really easy to fool yourself that you are doing better than you really are, if you don’t keep a record of expenses.

MumBlog4 · 22/01/2018 21:44

@sponge id go with the latter ..... harassment of friends for sure.

As for the earnings.... well, I earned 100 quid today on my day off.... didn't tell anyone. Didn't post it on facey b. I call BS from your bot. Poor thing. I hope she gets out before she loses too much of herself.

Spongebobette · 22/01/2018 21:46

Yes. She’ll be harassing f and f

Because her upline will be harassing her to recruit

previouspidgeon89 · 22/01/2018 21:51

@MumBlog4 haha I'm ashamed to say I was!!!

I think I still have a couple in the house somewhere Shock.

its so nice to be in touch with others too hopefully we can move on and forget the whole experience - and support each other too

MumBlog4 · 22/01/2018 22:03

I think I was brainwashed told not to be worried about the outgoing stuff too much because it was an investment into my development.

@pidgeon don't be ashamed haha I would have flapped a flag if I could have Wink

Everyone here is so supportive, it's good to talk and get it all out I'm finding. Lots of people can relate.

Spongebobette · 22/01/2018 22:21

I’m so impressed by you ex FL people. So difficult to extricate yourself from the web that’s spun

ReformedBot · 22/01/2018 22:28

Hi Pidgeon, care to discreetly identify some of the upline between you and castle bot to see if we flapped flags together? 😁

Also how much might someone make in that approx 18.5 hours of work a week after expenses

I don't think I would earn a penny after expenses...if I qualified for my team leader bonus then yes maybe £100 if there wasn't a big event to attend!

They say you go through three stages of reaction to your income

  1. This isn't worth it
  2. This is worth it
  3. I'm not worth this much
Hmm

Now the bubble has burst, the mask that carried so many bots to the top is slipping. Social media helped them boom but they overlooked the fact that this could also be their downfall, it's hard to live so publicly and keep secrets! So many of us ex bots are connecting now and telling almost the same story!

It’s ironic isn’t it Dora that the ‘business opportunity’ is sold as something that will allow you to spend time with your family and will fit into the ‘nooks and crannies’ of your spare time

BSintolerant · 23/01/2018 00:09

A food bank? You poor thing. I can't imagine how you must have felt. I feel very angry on your behalf. Of course those money-grabbing bastards at the top end of the Forever Living pyramid would blame you for having to rely on a food bank. What a dirty, evil lot those shill bots are.

Debt, IVAs, bankruptcies, shattered friendships, marriages ... these issues show exactly what is wrong with multi-level marketing schemes.

Do any of you remember the ex-Forever Living bot who went public and dropped them in it courtesy of the Daily Mail? That paper has its uses after all. Some of the private messages she received from Forever bots (which appeared on the Timeless Vie blog) were obscene, especially the one expressing a wish to see her shot with her "own bags of shit."

Thank you all for sharing your stories. Flowers

I'd be interested to see the scripts your uplines send to try to hoover you back in. Narcissistic fuckers, they are.

@PancakeInMaBelly - the reporter is either completely unaware that she is a Bot or he's a friend or relative or hers! And if It Works really got rid of loose skin then the NHS would be all over it for bariatric patients. Plenty of proof that it's all bollocks online if the reporter had done any research at all.

Very interesting reading the FL posts on here. I have to say that if I saw those training lists I would want to run for the hills as any kind of sales job would be my ultimate nightmare. I can see how people would get sucked in though. The FL Top Bots are definitely more polished and professional than many MLM Top Bots (coffee bots spring to mind) and do the attraction marketing thing very well.

CurlsandCurves · 23/01/2018 08:30

@Reformed your post about how to run the biz on a day to day basis is giving me flashbacks. I’d forgotten about the 1-31 folder!

When I was close to leaving I remember going through all the steps they tell you to do, all the flipping paper shuffling, diagram drawing, list making. And thinking what the hell is any of this achieving???

The weekly presentations were also a chance for other bots to do a bit of bragging to one another. I approached another bot to say hi one night and got totally shut down with ‘excuse me, I’m busy working my business’ , diary open, phone in hand.

And the ‘jokes’ we had to chuckle at every week. ‘ it’s anti fungal, anti inflammatory, it’s everybodys auntie!’ Ho frickin Ho.

Spongebobette · 23/01/2018 10:46

May I ask those of you who are ex Forever Living.... when you were thinking of joining did you look online or do any searching on the company? Did you come across threads like these or other sites with anti MLM posts? What did you think? Did your upline discourage you from looking for info?

Spongebobette · 23/01/2018 10:52

Oh and your descriptions of the weekly business meetings remind me strongly of how cults operate
