Thread 34 may be no more;
Thread 35 is quite alive.

Let's make sure it stays that way.

This thread is here to expose the garageful of lies pedalled by multi level marketing (network marketing) schemes, i.e outrageous health claims, unlimited wealth and residual earnings, to name but a few.

Hang on a min.... who is she kidding?! I worked a lot more the 5 hours a week and my highest earning month was approximately £80. Yes. You read that right. Because products needed to be heavily discounted to sell and take out postage.... probs got 1 sign up that month too. Hardly 300-500 is it. Gosh that's pissed me off.... how much retail would you need to make that much?! You wouldn't do it in 5 hours a bloody week that's for sure.

MumBlog4 · 22/01/2018 19:17

I realise that makes me sound like I sat doing naff all but the truth is once you minus expenses, you're not left with a great deal.

I only reached supervisor though..

cozietoesie · 22/01/2018 19:18

'only' Wink

Spongebobette · 22/01/2018 19:24

It’s seems to be a lie that it’s your own fault for not working hard enough if you don’t make money

It’s a rigged game

ReformedBot · 22/01/2018 19:29

I don't know anyone who made money just doing 5 hours a week. Even the twice weekly training was at least 90 minutes of your week alone!

MumBlog4 I don't doubt you worked hard. I did too and my highest month was about £800 but only two were ever in the £500-£600 zone and I would often have to buy in 1 - 2cc to qualify for it if I hadn't recruited that month.

Sponge it's a total lie and one that I would like to see eradicated from mlm so. The ones that have gone top bot got in early enough to make big money and recruit like mad. Funny they haven't been breaking managers in the UK recently. Or at a much slower rate.

Reformed... sometimes our upline would do trainings that would last 2 hours and berate anyone that wasn't on them. I used to put it on my iPad and put it in the ensuite 😂😂 no wonder my business failed.... I didn't listen to her wittering on about her story and her why and her massive rented house Hmm

MumBlog4 · 22/01/2018 19:46

Reformed. This is exactly the emotional black mail shit that she's good at.
"You just need to work hard" "do whatever it takes"

Sorry castle luv, I won't fleece people and isolate myself for the sake of money. Or a rented house not a castle "castle" for that matter either.

ReformedBot · 22/01/2018 19:48

And a nice message from Nov 2017 showing that your life is not more important than the business and recruitment is priority...

Update ***
ITS A BIT LONG BUT IMPORTANT

Hey guys,

So I was at the company strategy meeting this week!

We were talking about forever the strategy and maybe what was different this year to last and what our strategy will be for next year and its recruitment 100%

Now I think this is where our team are miles ahead, I know not all but most have upped their game in terms of recruitment and I had figured our recruitment needs to be a big focus . So it gives you the boost you all need to build your confidence in recruiting and it's worked massively. As TEAM NAME last month our recruitment was the highest it's been all year.

The one thing though that I do think we can improve on and please correct me if I'm wrong, it's the attendance of the local business presentation. I feel like it's so so important to be at your local business presentation each week. Especially if you are a manager within the team or if You have a team because your team
Need to see you there interacting, watching you with guests team and to learn. We need to lead from the front and be there. It's 100% why my business built so fast!

There was something really powerful before walking into a business presentation and seeing people sat chatting, planning their teams before hand then meeting guests and going into the presentation and coming away buzzing!

Although we have all the online training and support I really do believe that the business presentations are one thing we need to be attending in person.

There are so many team in my area but hardly anyone attends! It's the same few each time! Why? I believe it's maybe due to no focus on them and the habit hasn't been created.

I can tell you that going forward into 2018 it will be imperative for your success to be at a business presentation weekly.

Let's look at why we might not attend:
I'm busy
I haven't got time
The weather is pants
Kids have activities
Can't be bothered tonight I'll go next week
I don't need the presentation anyway
I haven't got a guest
My team won't come
No one to have the kids
I've heard it all before
I can motivate myself
I have a sniffle and feel a bit poorly
My upline isn't there anyway

Ok, we all know that they are huge excuses to actually convince yourself that it's ok not to attend but the reality guys is - it's not ok!

Being at a business presentation is your job role, if You aren't there you aren't fulfilling your job role. Don't get me wrong there are the odd occasions we can't go but when we can we need to see this as our only night in the office.

Imagine you said to your employer any of those reasons above as to why you can't be in work tonight! Or imagine you were the employer and one of your staff gave you one of those excuses. We wouldn't do it? Forever is a business it's your wished career for muse , so let's start treating it that way too. You know what? Do you know how hard it is?? It's about an hour and a half out of your evening!

I promise, if you attend regular and you start now, this week you watch the buzz the momentum the excitement that it will create for you throughout the rest of the year and into 2018! But remember, it's like anything it takes consistency!

Now let's be the team that step up & fly the #TEAM NAME flag... be the ones literally smashing the UK with our great work ethic, mindset, commitment & team spirit!

I'm really excited to see who is going to be at their presentation this week as those people will be the ones who have read this and become committed to their team, business and goals! We know the ones who are serious as they are the ones who are at the presentations no matter where you are on the marketing plan.

So let's draw a line in the sand and start getting to our bps!

I'll be there every week from 5.30pm and will have a drop in or catch up evening from then until 7:30pm so anyone wants to just connect, meet me, chat to me have support or socialise with the team I'll see you there from 5:30!

Come on guys let's get the social aspect and buzz back with business presentations and go into 2018 committed!!!

Who's with me???

ReformedBot · 22/01/2018 19:52

I've been guilty of logging into training and just muting it and enjoying my night too GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Yes some trainings would be as long as that too, but as a minimum of say 90 mins a week!

Mo other half used to say the same as you, why do you need to hear their story that's not training?! He's right, it was to keep us hanging on. I hosted some trainings, you quickly learned the unspoken rules.

Spongebobette · 22/01/2018 19:59

I don’t understand why it’s so important to go to these meetings anyway when it’s supposed to be so easy to build a business from your phone

WindyTriller · 22/01/2018 20:02

@ReformedBot what's a 1-31 folder?

MumBlog4 · 22/01/2018 20:14

Sponge the meetings were basically to make forever look good. Look how many successful people we have in one room kind of thing.....
When you attended it was pretty much another brainwashing session.

ReformedBot · 22/01/2018 20:24

These are the business presentations, where people take their potential recruits. They want the room to look full even if it's all FBOs and one recruit. Add another 2 hours (including travel time) to the twice weekly training and you've already got 3.5 hours of basics to do. Add the 10 minutes of kindest training every morning and that makes 4.5 hours.

You are encouraged to do at least two product pack deliveries and collections per week, being generous and allowing only half an hour per visit, there is another two hours of basics.

Now equals 6.5 hours of the 'basics'

Add in your pamper parties that you should be aiming to do twice a month, including prep and travel about 8 hours a month/2 hours a week

Now equals 8.5 hours of basics

30 minutes a day doing recruiting messages (again its most likely to be a lot more when you add in following people up, building rapport and checking in with people or 'follow ups').

Now equals 12 hours of basics

Plus the stall you should be aiming to do each month, with prep and travel around 8 hours per month/2 hours a week

Now equals 14 hours of basics

Add in 121s (meetings where you show people the business), approx 1 a week at about 3 hours with prep and travel

Now equals 17 hours of basics

Add in your 'First Step to Manager' Meetings where you show a new recruit the basics (!) Around 3 hours per person, let's say we only recruited one this month.

Now equals 18hrs15mins of basics.

Flyering 30 mins per week

Now equals 18hrs45mins a week.

Lots of posts and lives into team pages to stay on top of (and criticism if you don't).

Lots of incentives and '30 day programmes' to take part in (such as do these 5 things every day for 30 days and share your screenshots).

If you have a team then you have to plan out their month every month between the 1st and 3rd until they become manager and take care of their team. So you could rack up 30 mins per person here easily.

Then there is contact marketing, social media management, relationship building with potential recruits, random specialist trainings, success days, team days and reading for personal development and it's not quite the part time venture.

ReformedBot · 22/01/2018 20:26

@WindyTriller

We were told to run two folders - a 1 - 12 folder (months of the year) and a 1 - 31 folder (days of the month). A simple filing system where you wrote on a piece of paper who you had spoke to and what about then filed for a follow up later down the line (anything from 3 days to 6 months depending on where they were in the recipient cycle)

I didn't count this admin in my previous post!

ReformedBot · 22/01/2018 20:28

My maths went a bit off around the 18 hour mark up their. Apologies. Not far off though!

I hope this is enlightening!

Spongebobette · 22/01/2018 20:31

Wow and ALL the costs are borne by the FBO!

Pamper party... presumably you have to provide all the products you use in the hope that someone will order stuff?

Petrol for all these meetings

Fliers

Buying coffee and cake for prospects so you can post a pic of your ‘business meeting’

It all adds up!

Spongebobette · 22/01/2018 20:33

Urgh and imagine having to keep a record of all the people you have spoken to and the level of their interest in FL!!!

cozietoesie · 22/01/2018 20:37

I've heard posters talk here about the wondrous freedom - once they'd left. Just being able to pop down to the shops (without full make-up) and not to have to attempt to recruit everyone you met on the way! Grin

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 22/01/2018 20:40

Wow! That is enlightening

There is also the financial side too:

  • petrol money must be phenomenal for some that I've seen as they think nothing of traveling 2-3 hours each way to team members, potential recruits, HQ etc
-then there's the Success Days, tickets, petrol, refreshments, possibly even an overnight stay in a nearby budget hotel -there's the stuff mentioned earlier like Planners, training aids/websites, leaflets and display materials -Be your own best customer - all the toiletries and cleaning products for the family, regular C9 cleanses, daily gel....

...and probably lots more that I've missed.

ReformedBot · 22/01/2018 20:51

Yes you are all bang on with costs. All at FBO expense. Its not uncommon for people to pay over £100 for a stall and make no sales (but think of all the people you can add to your list from your prize draw questionnaires Hun!).

Yes again I was generous that 121s may be done online or locally but we were encouraged to drive for hours of needs be and many humble brags about eight hour round trips etc. Ditto for your new recruits launch parties, another thing not mentioned above. I travelled 4 hours to do one once and it made about half a case credit so my bonus from that didn't even cover half my fuel.

PhD bot says that when people say they 'can't afford too' her reply is 'you can't afford not to'. She once said 'if I didn't have the money, I would get the money's.

This is someone from an affluent background (drove her Audi as a student before even starting Forever) with no children. That one peed me off as she literally has no idea how some of us would skinny ourselves for Forever and she would say that. At the time she said it, I owed my parents £200 and was in a mess with a high interest loan that meant I had no money to buy food so I had to use a food bank as I couldn't borrow any more money from anyone as I already owed too much out! And as far as lifestyles go, from the outside looking in, noone would ever have guessed I had to do that!

ReformedBot · 22/01/2018 20:55

I really wish we could edit posts 🤦🤦 I am aware of the poor grammar and typos. Again, sorry!!

Spongebobette · 22/01/2018 20:55

Wow @Reformedbot that is an amazing story and I hope that people who are either in FL or thinking of joining have the scales fall from their eyes, reading your post

cozietoesie · 22/01/2018 21:09

Did she know about your struggles?
