Thread 34 may be no more;
Thread 35 is quite alive.

Let's make sure it stays that way.

This thread is here to expose the garageful of lies pedalled by multi level marketing (network marketing) schemes, i.e outrageous health claims, unlimited wealth and residual earnings, to name but a few.

Mumblog4 I have mentioned to friends that I'm not doing it anymore and none have batted an eyelid so I haven't felt the need to explain myself.

It changed last year that Global CC can now be used for Manager promotion and obviously that still didn't kickstart the promotions.

WhiteR, sponsoring used to get 2ccs (so it was easier to hit 4cc target and cheaper to buy the CCs in by signing up a family member or friend who didn't care to join but would do it to help you out!). Sponsoring now only earns around 1.2cc now I think (it's literally just changed again from 1.085cc)

The Eagle flags were sold at a £1 each! Another nice profit!

This whole business of paying for speakers is all part of the top bot perks. If castlebot flies people in from Greece to speak (for example) the team ticket sales have paid for that person's holiday. She always hosts people in fancy hotels and makes it look like it's her paying. They will then no doubt return the favour so she gets around at everyone else's expense.

She says the income all goes back into the team but that could mean anything. She could justify flying herself and her siblings to Lanzarote for a special training as a benefit to her team. This is where her halo begins to slip.

I've been told by multiple people that the mocking tone she does that makes everyone laugh when she talks about haters is exactly the same tone she talks about her team in when she has had a draining day, with the word 'idiots' used a lot.

MumBlog4 · 22/01/2018 13:24

@sponge thank you for your gentle words but I do feel like a bit of a prat if I'm honest. I must have had 5 or more people tell me it was a scam..... and I believed these absolute ridiculous claims from the biggest bots in the industry. Then spent a good 18 months feeling like I just wasn't cut out to be a "business woman"
Had it not been for my DH and his unwavering belief in me as a person, who knows where I would be now. I was hospitalised at one point in my pregnancy, nothing serious but I was basically exhausted and collapsed. I was sat in a hospital bed and preparing a speech for my appearance on stage, because my upline "believed in me"

I'm so bloody ashamed. I'd be less so if id actually made money out of it to be honest. I darent calculate my losses but I'm willing to bet it was in the 3-5 thousand Mark.

I think Flp is very clever at how they will tell you that it's all on you, if you fail, it's your fault. Tell you you're selfish for not sharing the opportunity, tell you to invest in yourself and spend money on the trainings etc. I remember our upline once completely disregarding those who couldn't/wouldn't come to success day because she was on stage. It was right before Christmas too. The more I let myself think about it, the angrier I get. I'd love to go public but I can't be bothered with the backlash and I have an actual business to protect. I fear the forever army would take me down in one swipe Confused

MumBlog4 · 22/01/2018 13:36

@reformed I would like to think my lot wouldn't bat an eyelid but I think I'm just going to have to swallow my pride and just apologise. I was vile to anyone opposing what I was doing. It wasn't a good time for me I think I isolated myself a lot.
Also, what I've heard about that person echoes what's written above. I am under no illusion that these people aren't as lovely as they seem. I heard one top bot absolutely moaning her arse off once because she tried to go to the toilet and people kept stopping her and asking for a picture/to speak with her etc. Just wow.

cozietoesie · 22/01/2018 13:38

MumBlog

The only reason I mentioned 'Thanks' was because I felt it might be good for you personally to start/help along your own journey of awareness.

You sound as if you're doing great though. Smile Maybe you haven't finally opened up to all your close circle but it will come. And your DH is a gem.

MumBlog4 · 22/01/2018 13:49

@cosie I think it is great to say thanks, your words also helped me to sit back and really appreciate everything my DH has done, and writing about it has given me a renewed and deeply positive view on the man I love. It is such a strange healing process. Finding these threads has helped massively and it's been nice to connect with others who have either been through similar or understand the processes these MLM companies use. Thank you all..... my new huns 😂Wink

Spongebobette · 22/01/2018 14:02

These top bots are like rock stars aren’t they, with their flash cars, show offy houses and designer handbags, all carefully used to show their downline what they could achieve if only they worked a bit harder or invested a bit more in products or paid for more training

I realise now that nothing I could have said to my friend in FL would have worked to persuade her that it is all a big scam. She had a script for every objection and then blocked me (as she was prob told to do by her upline: block the haters and neg heads)
She had to realise on her own but in the meantime I saw she spent money she could ill afford on FL products for PUpp packs, a tablecloth for stalls, leaflets, Success Days (= walking across a stage with a sash on), Prosecco and nibbles for launch party etc etc etc

Jonsey32 · 22/01/2018 14:14

MumBlog4

Aw bless you. Do you know what though- all those people that you feel you were vile to will just be happy to have the real you back!
A good friend will be ready to get over it if you just say something light like.. “ do you know what? I was a bit of a numpty and I’m so sorry for being a bit of an idiot, I’ve seen the light... any chance we could put in behind us and move on?”

Big hugs, hope it all goes well for you x

Whiterangey · 22/01/2018 14:29

@MumBlog4 How about showing them your posts here?

We are the negative people your upline will have warned you about, yet here you are.

It is like a cult, very much so. I've read plenty of things where it shows the comparisons between MLM's and cults, it's scary how close they are to each other. You are encouraged to cut off friends and family if they are negative.

I've read articles from people who have gone to an MLM recruitment meeting knowing it's all a scam yet have said while there they have struggled to not get sucked in.

I don't think the forever bots would try and take you down if you went public because they wouldn't want to draw any attention to you as it would be easy for their downlines to see that you are speaking the truth. It shows how powerful the cult mentality is that you are nervous about speaking out for fear of them harming your proper business.

It's enough what you are doing here, i'm certain that new prospects will read this and be warned off. Or people will read this and remember it when they are prospected in the future. You have likely done a lot of good already and saved others from getting drawn in.

You should be proud of yourself, not ashamed, totally not your fault and hopefully your friends and family will see that, they love you.

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 22/01/2018 14:31

MumBlog thank you for sharing your story and well done on seeing the light!

I bet your family and friends are so pleased to have the 'you' that they know and love back that they won't be bothered about dwelling on your mistake.

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 22/01/2018 14:34

Actually "mistake" is not the word I should have chosen there as it makes it something that you did wrong but you didn't do anything wrong! They did (as in the brainwashing FL bots that recruited you, love bombed you and persuaded you to stay).

I'm sure you get the drift of what I meant though

Spongebobette · 22/01/2018 14:45

Those top bots have a lot to answer for. They MUST know that the people they recruit are likely to make no money and give up, which is why they are always recruiting. It's absolutely relentless and done under the guise of 'helping' others to achieve extra income.
They stand on a stage sharing their 'journey' with whoops from a worked up audience.
Facts are few and far between though, such as his name new business owners are still in business 2 years later, or what the average profit made by anyone is

Spongebobette · 22/01/2018 14:46

Urgh not 'his name' I meant 'how much'

Spongebobette · 22/01/2018 14:50

And the 'attraction marketing' is so easy to spot, it's blatant.

ReformedBot · 22/01/2018 15:12

@Mumblog4 I have found these threads highly therapeutic top! When my niggles were getting the better of me and I came here to read through I posted and got lots of support not just from the forum but also by inbox from.some other ex-FLP reps. The things they have since shares with me prices my suspicions were right all along and it's good to be able to breathe and accept I wasn't just being negative or a bad business owner. My mentor hit Manager and she did far less than me but she got her promotion at the peak time and was lucky to get in when she did. She has no business now. My other half, downline and even some of her downline used to say that they couldn't understand why I wasn't in her role and vice versa as I was so much more proactive than she was. Looking back I accept this now but at the time I thought I was lacking somehow.

Every spare hour I had I would 'work' and it's wonderful now to work on my 'real' business put out it down and do the housework or spend time with my family with no guilt!

I found these pages have helped massively as I like to talk through things but noone really understands unless they have been an FBO in the same position and those that have are afraid to come out so this has been the place to vent it all. The bots think we are sad and pathetic but I think they are missing the point completely.

ReformedBot · 22/01/2018 15:13

Eugh, I should have proof read. Sorry everyone hope it makes sense, blooming autocorrect!!

Spongebobette · 22/01/2018 15:24

@Reformedbot
I think that bots have to say that these threads are full of mean bitter twisted people, keyboard warriors, people who are jealous of their success and so on, so that they can characterise everything we say as rubbish

The truth is that people fond these threads either because they saw a friend or family member disappearing down the MLM rabbit hole, or because they themselves have experienced the weird world of love bombing, cliquey, super positive, MLMs and have begun to realise that the only people who benefit are at the very top of the pyramid.

And they have begun to see through the fakery, forexample the flaunting of material possessions when in reality the bot’s partner has a real job and a good income which pays for it all

Forever Living was the first MLMi came across and it is a model of all the techniques used by these companies. Even down to the false heath claims- which I see fewer of these days, I wonder why!

WellThatsATurnipForTheBooks · 22/01/2018 16:49

Ex-FL bots can I ask you a question please?

How did you feel if you posted something on fb about your "business" or the products and nobody replied or liked the post? Was this something that was ever addressed by your upline or training sessions?

It's just that I see so many tumbleweed moments on bots facebook pages as soon as they post anything FL related. Surely they must realise that they're flogging a dead horse.

ReformedBot · 22/01/2018 18:08

Yes @well

I would probably feel crap inside that nobody likes me enough to 'like' the post when uplines got lots of likes but it was mostly off their teams and in time my team a my team grew, they ,would like mine. I would regularly go back through my timeline and delete anything that was not flattering, image enhancing or out of balance. I'd also regularly remove products pits to keep mystery about the company I was working with.

We were told that even if you don't get any response people are 'watching'. Which was true to an extent as people I recruited had seen my posts but never commented/liked. Obviously I don't know how many people were watching for the car crash!!

cozietoesie · 22/01/2018 18:35

How much time did all of this take? Did you have time when you were allowed to do nothing, for example?

MumBlog4 · 22/01/2018 18:41

I've found these threads not only a great source of information but quite cathartic as an ex bot to read.

I used to have the view that anyone who was commenting on these was misinformed about my business and oh was I proud of my "business" Blush
I'm so happy that you're all so lovely and accepting .... you have no idea how much you've all helped. It's good to talk, as they say.

I never flaunted material possessions because I care none for them personally although I'm told constantly by my mil that I've married well Hmm she means financially.... but what I did do was flaunt that I was now able to take my children to and from school thanks to my shit beautiful business.... you know the annoying knob head parent bot. Well that was me. Because in all fairness I was sooooo relieved to be able to be a mum for the first time ever and I was proud. I had a very good career but it was full time so I was never around. What's key here is that I was also the main earner.... hence me being suuuuch an easy target for the flp bot mass recruiting and love bombing Blush

MumBlog4 · 22/01/2018 18:44

@cozie I think the the higher bots, certainly in my team would just blank you and give you zero time unless you were actively seen to be working your business.... so in essence, unless you were making them money, then you would be pushed right out of their tight "celebrity" circle. Isolated from all that was important.

ReformedBot · 22/01/2018 18:46

With the Castlebot Planners we were encouraged to block out our time each week. Her sister was the big advocate of this. We were told to block out Forever time and family time with highlighters then asked to share our planners each week publicly in team pages.

ReformedBot · 22/01/2018 18:46

Times are hard Blush

Castles BFF

"How exciting is this....

We have asked HO to consider holding more advisor board trainings in the NORTH and they have given us a provisional date of 4th March !

They will honour this IF we can fill the room and get enough people for the training

Comment below if you would be interested and we can feed this back to HO"

ReformedBot · 22/01/2018 19:03

From the sister:

‼️ EITHER YOU RUN THE WEEK OR THE WEEK RUNS YOU‼️

Sunday is the most important day of your Forever Business

This is the day where you plan week ahead

You can then run the week instead of the week running you!

Confused about how to plan your week?

Follow these simple steps

📝 decide how many hours you're willing to commit to your business this week - be realistic, if you're a retailer looking to build a 4cc business and an income of £330 - £500 per month then a 5 hour commitment per week is just about the minimum you should commit to income producing activities. If you're going for a promotion or looking to build a higher income and reach more, you'll need to commit more. In this business we need to speed up before we can slow down. Make sure your time commitment matches your goals

📝 get your physical diary or whiteboard out and plan each day in starting with your family/school/work hours, adding in your self care (mindset, exercise, nutrition) and then your business, ensure that you've booked in your night at your local business presentation as a non negotiable

📝 Next prioritise the things that will make the till ring! These are your retail activities as listed in pages 10-11 of your first steps to manager booklet. Work out the activity you need to do to give yourself and your products the exposure you need to hit your case credit and therefore income goals

📝 Factor in follow up time - time to follow up on your customers, prospects and using your 1-31 folders

📝 Team time - ensure you are dedicating time to helping and coaching your team, face to face, showing not telling. Tagging your team in training links on groups is the laziest and least effective way!

📝 Prospecting - know who you will share the opportunity with and how.

📝 Networking - decide how many people you wish to grow your network by this week and plan EXACTLY how you will do that

📝 Learning - what's the one thing that's holding you back right now? Find a training on this (don't be afraid to ask for help) watch and IMPLEMENT - everything you want is on the other side of fear! Learn to face them by growing your knowledge and "doing" to grow your confidence

📝 Volume Map YOU - map your own volume with your low highs based on the activity you have planned in

📝 Volume Map Team - help them to do the above, show them your plan, identify areas they need help with, and ensure they get that help whether that's from you or your upline or a training you have personally watched and know can help

📝 Social media - plan your content for the week ahead, what are you putting out there? What's your message? Are you on brand? Plan how you're going to talk with and engage your audience with your content this week

📝 FUN time - what fun have you planned this week? For you? For the family? For your team? Don't forget to do the things that make your soul sing!

Post below your plan, your commitment to your business and your goals for this week!

cozietoesie · 22/01/2018 19:09

Fun time? Shock

From the sound of that lot, the only 'fun time' you could achieve would be that allocated to brushing your teeth or doing school clothes.
