I wonder whether HMRC read FB? Smile

acatcalledjohn · 19/07/2017 18:08

The insurance (Vitality) he's flogging:

I get that for free through my Just Over Broke. And I still get the benefits (non smoker's cash back, free cinema ticket for being active, etc).

Pretty common too. Why on earth you'd have to sell it through an MLM is beyond me.

Just like utilities and broadband. You get better deals on comparison sites.

Ladiva1971 · 19/07/2017 18:15

I saw that lasagne and as I was so bored I tried checking out the names of the other people on that list and most don't even seem to exist.......... apart from the 2 that commented on his post.

Cakietea · 19/07/2017 19:08

Ladiva - fakes names? Well I never!

Ladiva1971 · 19/07/2017 19:43

HAHA :P

Twunk · 19/07/2017 20:36

Phew! Well the inlaws have gone, DS2's birthday is done and dusted and all is back to normal chez Twunk.

So.... - I missed the whole fandango that was the annual Sexy Rexy Arselicking and Large but Humble Plastic Cheque extravaganza from our favourite MLM, forever living. How did our bots do? Are they still at the top of the tree or did the cc change put a spanner in the works?

Twunk · 19/07/2017 20:53

It's okay! I found all the cheque photos on the website. Rolf I see on top - we need the equivalent of Mumsnet in Germany to get to the bottom of that particular story.

Cheques were down though, and fewer Brits in the top 20.

Ladiva1971 · 19/07/2017 22:16

Has stokeflatbot. changed his FB settings? as I can't see earlier posts.

SSDGM · 19/07/2017 22:27

Ah Bums. Yes, looks like he's locked it down!

SSDGM · 19/07/2017 22:29

You can't even see he's an "Entrepeneur" any more! How will he shill coffee and insurance now?

Ladiva1971 · 19/07/2017 22:29

DANG!!! Just as it was getting good Hmm

Ladiva1971 · 19/07/2017 22:31

Exactly but as mentioned he did do TWO referrals so maybe he can retire after all............Grin

cozietoesie · 19/07/2017 22:35

HMRC will already have clocked it. Smile

BSintolerant · 19/07/2017 23:04

Is HMRC kryptonite to bots, or is it criticism? I forget.

Toobusytowee · 19/07/2017 23:07

Does anyone here have experience in Utility Warehouse? I'm looking for people with some knowledge and information about it please.

Twunk · 19/07/2017 23:10

Damn stokeflatbot has been nobbled?

cozietoesie · 19/07/2017 23:12

An occupational hazard, BS. They may not earn enough to have to pay up - at the end of the day - but the sheer horror of an HMRC audit.....................Wink

Annie65 · 19/07/2017 23:25

Toobusy, I was a customer of utility warehouse, have been for years, I didn't know they were a pyrimid scheme. In the process of changing utility company now. My son was a rep for them about 8 years ago, he only did it until he got a proper Job, and he only made a tiny bit of money from them. He didn't pay any money up out front luckily. This all happened before I even knew about MLM's. I feel a bit of a fool actually because after looking at the latest bill I realised they were charging us £2 for a bill protector, whatever that is, and £1.25 for the printed bill. That is every month. Hidden charges Im afraid. Thanks to Timeless vie I realised what was going on.Sad

BSintolerant · 19/07/2017 23:32

I doubt the Revenue accepts garage-loads of botsnot as payment! Grin

JaniceBattersby · 20/07/2017 00:01

The mayor of the town where I work as a journalist used to be a UW rep. The town has done a lot of green energy events and at one of them, he was there with his bloody mayoral chain on trying to get people to join UW. He was also taking numbers (including mine) then calling people at home to arrange to come and talk them through UW. I was v sick and pregnant at the time and didn't really understand what UW was. I just assumed it was another green energy thing the town was doing. I wish I had bloody known because I would have done a story and absolutely destroyed him.

acatcalledjohn · 20/07/2017 00:03

Oh no! I need to know when he doesn't make it to Santorini, baby!

@Twunk It was discussed at some point in thread 29 I believe. Significantly reduced cheques. So much for the opportunity which the CC value reduction was made out to be.

Which reminds me: has she had her baby yet? I bet she'll be trying to recruit her midwife. Business never stops!

BSintolerant · 20/07/2017 00:12

acat Grin She'll recruit her placenta first while it's still fresh.
