Thank you Maid, I got it to that too. I won £3.10 on Betfair free slots before I did the bet so I have a cushion for that loss.

I did watch the tutorials. I clicked on the odds box but nothing happened.

I'm going to use pa when my free bet comes, I found their matching tool easier.

anon1987 · 17/05/2017 14:10

Terms not earns I mean

MaidOfStars · 17/05/2017 14:18

I wrote an introduction to betting and matched betting and made a thread for it. It's somewhere in Money Matters. Hang on...

MaidOfStars · 17/05/2017 14:19

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/05/2017 14:58

I was clicking on the wrong box earlier

louisejxxx · 17/05/2017 16:37

I've just started my 2nd Acca with WH just now so hopefully that should be me qualified for their bet club ready to receive a free £5 bet on Monday...otherwise nothing interesting to report here.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/05/2017 16:40

Ok so muffin didn't win.

I put £10 into bet Fred, £25 into Betfair & ive got £19 in the exchange.

How long for betfred to send me my free bets? Now that I've figured which boxes to adjust.

louisejxxx · 17/05/2017 17:20

Your free bets won't appear until after your qualifying bet has settled - has that happened already? (Sorry if you've already said!)

Mine came through about 24hrs after my Qbet has settled.

Fluffycloudland77 · 17/05/2017 17:29

Yep, they've got my £10.

HeyRoly · 17/05/2017 19:03

I wanted to take advantage of the Skybet free £5 bet offer. To qualify you need to place 2x £5 "Requestabet" bets for tonight's Man U game. But the outcomes are mini accas really, two or three outcomes together (see screenshot). But according to Google it is possible to match some of these at Betfair. I just can't seem to see any markets that could possibly match up. Unless you're supposed to split your lay bet across two or three markets to cover yourself? Anyone have any ideas?

There's an easy arb on Man U - comeon are offering 4.75 on Man U winning to clean sheet, smarkets laying at 3.75.

FiveHoursSleep · 17/05/2017 19:11

When you have a free bet because your trigger bet didn't win, should you use 'normal bet', SNR or SR on the Odds matcher to work out how much to lay and how much you'll make?

domesticgoddesshaha · 17/05/2017 19:14

Usually free bet snr

HollySykes · 17/05/2017 19:44

Mistake made yesterday when I tried to be clever by backing a horse before work and laying it at lunchtime so nearer the race in the hopes the odds had reduced. Needless to say the odds went sky high and I would have lost £16 on a £25 bet so I decided to leave it and hope it won. It came second. It wasn't a bookie with a free bet on 2nd place offer.

No more trying to cheat the system for me.

I'd love to know what you'd all suggest is the next step. I've signed up for all the bet x get x offers in the oddsmonkey tutorial and the risk free bets too. I know not to try the rollovers as my exchange balance is about £200 so I can't accommodate the wagering if needed.

I get a few reloads and do a few mug bets.

What next? Without a large exchange pot and only a few reloads what's the next thing I could do to keep earning?

louisejxxx · 17/05/2017 19:59

I'm a bit stuck at the minute too. Can't seem to get my head around the horse stuff at all, and don't really seem to be getting any decent reloads come through. But then I'm not signed up with paddy power or ladbrokes yet so hopefully things will improve once I'm signed up with them too.

FiveHoursSleep · 17/05/2017 20:35

Hollysykes, have you arranged a 121 with the Oddsmonkey blokes? They were really useful and they are going to explain Accas to me next week.
The guy I spoke to said aim for £15-20 a day and you can easily do that with the bits and pieces in the daily offer calendar. Horses aren't that scary really- I find football worse!
I've made a bit on bingo and had about £150 off the slots from bonuses. Use the EV calculator from Tools>advanced calculators to see if they are worth doing-check to see if the wagering is on your deposit or the bonus they offer though.

MrsWombat · 17/05/2017 20:46

HeyRoly They list some of the request-a-bet ones you can lay on Betfair on the PA forum. I think I looked at it a couple of weeks ago, and couldn't find anything that would make a good enough profit.

HeyRoly · 17/05/2017 20:47

Thanks mrs! I'll have a look around so I'm more prepared for the next offer.

OverthinkingSpartacus · 17/05/2017 21:17

Slow day today.

888 casino have an offer where if you Deposit 20, you are given 120 free play. Winnings from free play is capped at £50, which you then need to wager a canny but but as you do not have to use any of your deposit and can withdraw it back out, it's a risk free casino offer so nothing to lose by having a go and people have come away from this offer £100s in profit.

I'm following the blackjack strategy and current quarter of the way through wagering at £100 up (plenty of time for it to drop though)and playing so much blackjack is boring the tits off me :) I keep being tempted to switch to slots or higher stakes but keep telling myself doing it the long way minimises losses (not applicable in this offer though) and maximises potential profit.

Almost fucked up my inplay bet Ladbroke bet. I know you're supposed to put your back on before you lay, but it was a close match with a ql of pennies so I thought id lay first, went through fine and then I realised I'd only put £10 as the stake on calculated instead of £20, quickly repeated the lay and managed to get same odds etc. Went and whacked my 20 back bet on, five minutes after placing it I realised I was on desktop site and not mobile site, meaning I wouldn't qualify. Quickly switched to mobile site, cashed out bet for a loss of 50p then placed another £20 bet on the mobile site. Thankfully none of the odds changed and I acted quickly without panicking, I don't think my heart is cut out for this in play malarkey.

Placed a few horse bets earlier for profits, I'm making a pound or so over race, the people who make 50 quids or so on arbs must be staking hundreds. I struggle with the ew thing so thing I'll ask about it during my 1-2-1 tomorrow.

OverthinkingSpartacus · 17/05/2017 21:21

Louise, I get very few reloads, most of my profits are made from bookies regular deals, like paddy powers 2 up, sky bet club. I also log in to all my accounts at least once a week and check all the promotion tabs, yesterday, when I clicked on my account on Ladbroke looking for my free bet I was given 5 free spins, no wagering either, had some nifty little frenzies bybsoending an hour twice a week logging in and clicking all promo tabs.

louisejxxx · 17/05/2017 21:22

How are you making a pound per race Spartacus? I really need to get myself a 1-2-1 booked.

HeyRoly · 17/05/2017 21:34

the people who make 50 quids or so on arbs must be staking hundreds

Bloody hell, that much? That must be how you get gubbed though. I figured I fly under the radar making small bets for pocket money!

HollySykes · 17/05/2017 21:41

Good idea, I've booked my one to one earliest I could get was a couple of weeks.

HeyRoly · 17/05/2017 21:43

So you do Sky Bet Club spartacus. I wasn't sure if that was a good offer, having to bet £25 to get only £5. I take it you're really choosy when it comes to making a qualifying bet, in order to minimise losses?

MissFitton · 17/05/2017 22:07

I've just been looking at Betfair and realised that on the sportsbook I have a new customer 'bet £10 get £30 in free bets offer'. I didn't realise it was there and the Ts&Cs say it must be used within 30 days. I've had my account for 39 days. They're unlikely to honour it aren't they?

Really annoying - I've just been using the exchange, didn't think about the sportsbook. It says I've opted in but that's only by dint of having an account. Hate missing obvious offers!
