Heeeerlllp!!

I've had an email from Betbright telling me my account has been restricted. Ok fair enough - but I've got a £50 free bet on a game tonight!!

Will they honour it?!

HeyRoly · 15/05/2017 18:02

Quiet here too. I've been doing a few mug bets in an attempt to move money across to the exchanges. Beats withdrawing anyway.

MagicTractor · 15/05/2017 18:06

Any idea why? I think contact them and ask, and try and cash out of the lay bet?

louisejxxx · 15/05/2017 18:14

I'm going to try my first lock in acca I think.

I'm just going to bet £10 and have changed this on the calculator on OM (acca finder) - I do need to change the bonus amount to £10 don't I?

It's saying I should make £2.22 from it, does that sound about right?

MaidOfStars · 15/05/2017 19:00

Start of week is boring. I'm reduced to mug betting my bookie balances over to the exchange (hopefully).

NewUserName01 · 15/05/2017 19:09

Thanks domesticgoddesshaha. I'm not panicking about him, just the matched betting. He did really well in his mocks on no work so I'm hoping he can do the same in the real thing. If I could have a non confrontational chat with him about it that would be fabulous but he just storms off. He's lovely after he's done an exam though and goes into so much detail about the questions that I can tell he really knows his stuff.

I keep telling him he needs to work on his 'parent management skills' - give us a little bit of reassurance that all is ok so that we don't bother him. Smile

NewUserName01 · 15/05/2017 19:10

By the way, by bet won at the bookies (£168!) so would have got away with not matching. That way of thinking's a slippery slope though!

I now have a large dent in my Betfair account.

NewUserName01 · 15/05/2017 19:11

Mind you, I've just withdrawn that money and now see you all saying about mug betting to boost the exchange as preferable to withdrawing. Arghh!

titchy · 15/05/2017 19:23

Ladbrokes have a bet £20 in play on Chelsea tonight and get a free £10 in play on Man C tomorrow - if you can get the app to work.

MagicTractor · 15/05/2017 19:32

I'm waiting for 3 lay at start ACCAs to finish to see how they get on.

They've given a worst and best return though both are set for the worst - so I think I'll try the lock in profit method next

louisejxxx · 15/05/2017 20:00

Magic I've literally just bet on my first lock in acca and layed the first match. Only set to make £1 profit-ish, but I was really just wanting to practice the process. It's spread out over the next couple of days too so can take it nice and steady and really try and get the maths behind it.

louisejxxx · 15/05/2017 20:35

Is anyone likely to be doing the Betfred free bet if your horse comes 2nd offer on the Berverly 15.00 race? If so is there any chance you could walk me through which horse to pick, why, whether to lay straight away etc.

My brain isn't really getting it (I think maybe because I don't really like horse racing all that much Blush)

titchy · 15/05/2017 20:50

Might be worth backing the favourite Louise then laying it tomorrow hoping odds are shorter?

louisejxxx · 15/05/2017 21:55

Just realised that I messed up my lock-in 😤 Had the stupid calculator set to a bet of £5 and I bet £10 and it's lost on the first match so I'm going to make a loss no matter what!

louisejxxx · 15/05/2017 21:56

Thank god for Chelsea! They scored a winning goal so I'm saved (well at least until I make another mistake!!)

GrimDamnFanjo · 16/05/2017 00:18

5 weeks in and now been gubbed twice...

OverthinkingSpartacus · 16/05/2017 00:20

@louise. Skill charge for transactions, iirc it's a percentage of transaction cost and a flat rate for each withdrawl from skrill to your bank. The more you put through the higher member you become and I think if you hit silver then withdrawals to your bank are free and maybe transaction charges are less. You are also charged for transactions if you use the debit card. I'm not sure of exact numbers as reading the £5 charge per withdrawl to bank put me off and as I'm having no issues using my current account, and most bookies and exchanges have my cash in my bank the next day I'd rather keep all of my money :)

I hate the ladbrokes app, it hardly ever works! thankfully you can access the mobile site from a PC, there's a link on OddsMonkey, so I'm able to still qualify for free bets that are mobile only offers.

Had a free £5 skybet from their weekly club offer. Used it on Chelsea match as odds were brilliant and got £4.90 profit from that.

Opted in to William Hills wager £10 for free £5 bet, made £8 profit during wagering and have free £5 bet to use.

Backed Chelsea to win on Paddy Power for their 2up offer, as they did go 2 up I made £10 profit at paddy power and also ended up with £2 profit from trading out the no longer needed laybet.

Decided to have a bash at the inplay offer on ladbrokes. Placed £20 to back Chelsea about ten mins into the match as liquidity would have been massive if I'd backed Watford. Went to place lay bet for a 20p qualifying loss, felt pleased with myself and noticed my fucking Internet had disconnected. Told myself to stay calm, i have cell data on iPad, tried loading exchange up on both browser and app but it wouldn't load fully, could see odds though and they'd gone stupid, entering the data had my qualifying loss at. £4 and it kept rising, not that it mattered as I couldn't even place a bet anyway so decided to just leave it and treat it as a proper gamble. Had noticed Internet come back on and that lay odds for Chelsea had dropped loads and as the lay odds were now lower than my back ones I ended up with £3 profit on my qualifying bet with another £10 inplay bet for tomorrow.

I have my 1-1 tutorial on Thursday and am going to ask about accas and also horses if I have time left. The waiting list for the one to one is a few weeks so I'd advise people to book them now rather than leave it to book when you actually need it.

louisejxxx · 16/05/2017 06:49

Ah that's a good idea... I feel ok about accas now so I think I'll book my private lesson and ask about all things horses.

louisejxxx · 16/05/2017 07:32

(I am the queen of double posts - sorry Blush)

Just done the win win get in match on coral.

I have a nervous wait this afternoon as my horsey bet was only partially matched so I'm going to have to keep everything crossed that the odds drop back down (they went up marginally) this afternoon. If all goes well I'll have a QL of 4p with the idea being that it counts towards my bets for the Coral bet club this week.

HeyRoly · 16/05/2017 07:36

Did a few mugs bets yesterday and decided to delay the lay bet until the last half hour or so when the odds started to drop. Worked pretty well, until I laid a £15 bet and then realised, hours later, that it was actually £20 Hmm What a dumbass. If the horse had won I would have been quids in, but it didn't!

louisejxxx · 16/05/2017 07:44

Glad it's not just me Roly - I was so so lucky that Chelsea ended up winning last night!

domesticgoddesshaha · 16/05/2017 08:45

Headsup for anyone not on the teamprofit fb group:
Skybet club are giving extra bets from 29 may to 30 july.
If you bet £25 each week you'll get your normal £5 betclub bet, plus an extra £30 in free bets at the end of July.

domesticgoddesshaha · 16/05/2017 08:47

spartacus how did you make £8 profit on the WH wagering? Are you doing accas?

MagicTractor · 16/05/2017 09:40

First ACCA won 4.47

Second one on for a £20 loss - bugger!!

HeyRoly · 16/05/2017 14:11

Ugh, making a mess of things again today. Made a mug bet, only £7 at 3.5. Was waiting to lay at the last minute only to find the odds going up and up and up. Checked the back bet to see if the odds had changed due to horses dropping out - nope. Ended up not bothering to lay it because the losses would be too high. And then after the race had started, I looked again and saw my back bet had its odds changed to 5.5 after all. And of course the horse lost.

So this delaying my lay bet thing has come back to bite me on the arse. Lesson learned!
