Ive read discussion on OM where people are grubbed before they've even deposited.
I know OM links are supposed to be safe but I always navigate my way to the site and bets away from OM. I've noticed that sometimes the new sign up offer from hitting the bookies is different to what OM says and I winder if that can be a flag? NetBet for eg, on OM the sign up offer is a £50 bonus (making a risk free bet) but going via Google is a bet £10 get £40 free bet. The OM sign up off is still valid but I wonder if clicking to the site and landing on a older sign up offer, gives it away that you've arrived there via a third party site? I went the free bet offer as there's wagering etc with the £50 bonus. Less hassle.

I created a shrillness count but have not used it, read a discussion on OM and people seem to have very mixed feelings about it. They take percentage of your balance in fees, they also charge £5 per withdrawl to your own actual bank account, you can apply for a card that can be used in stores and online but again, you are charged. It appears though that if you hit bronze level, the card is free, if you hit goes level then cash withdrawals to your bank is free. Some open olé hate it and think it's dodgy but tigers love that it allows you to move money around quicker than waiting for it to hit personal accounts.

I don't mind using my current account. I keep track of every deposit and withdrawl, check everyday to see what's cleared, I've not been withdrawing from exchange as I know it'll be used in future offer so tbh the only ins and out are from bookies, which are slowing down now as I can afford to leave a little bit in the main bookies.

Won £3 bonus money on the free skybingo, its not withdrawable but if I win anything on a bingo game with it, it's mine :)

£30 profit from PaddyPower buy in match for blackjack, used blackjack strategy from OM. Have £40 free bets to place too.

Am trying to quit smoking as I may have COPD and have been listening to Alen Carr (not the comedian) audio book, you read it and just stop, no withdrawals etc, he has over 90 per cent success rate, I don't know if it's working but I've not had a cigarette at all today, haven't felt the urge and didn't even realise I hadn't had one. I always get withdrawals by end of day one on past attempts but haven't even noticed today. I'm hoping to add the money I'm not spending to my float.

Pretty good day for me in general really.

HollySykes · 09/05/2017 06:48

Overthinking your autocorrects made me laugh, those bloody tigers! I gave up after going to Alan Carr (not the man himself but the company) and that was 15 years ago, DH did the same. Well done you.

Choconuts · 09/05/2017 07:19

Well done overthinking giving up smoking is one of the hardest things I have ever done. I also read Alan Carr and found that it made a lot sense. I found physically the first 3 days were the hardest after that it was more a mental thing. It's good to have a distraction especially one that's making you money!!!!

louisejxxx · 09/05/2017 07:20

I signed up to Bet Victor last night and did my qualifying bet, and am about halfway through the wagering requirements for my £10 casino bonus from that.

No good bets were coming up for my free £10 sports bet so going to give that another look later and hope something pops up for one of the champs league matches.

Do in play matches show up on the oddsmonkey calculator does anyone know? I don't know what to do with my free in play bet - don't know whether to just actually bet it and not lay it!

TheSleeperandTheSpindle · 09/05/2017 07:23

Can I just double check with someone abou the Ladbrokes offer please? I'm in awe of your Maths skills whereas I feel like I'm still bumbling around....Blush

Ladbrokes offer is match your first bet up to £50. Minimum odds are 1.5. I have found a match on tonight where the odds are 1.6 at bookies and 1.67 at exchange so if I bet £50 my loss will be £3.09 but then I should get a free £50 bet shouldn't I?

So I place my £50 qualifying bet as normal and then treat my free £50 as a free bet snr?

I'm confused by all this overlaying and underlaying but that doesn't apply here does it? Confused

titchy · 09/05/2017 07:33

Yes you're correct sleeper Smile

louisejxxx · 09/05/2017 08:18

Also, when it comes to me doing my free acca £10 bet with betvictor, I am clicking "lay sequential free bet" on the calculator aren't I? For one of the ones on accafinder it's bringing up profit of about £6-£7...does that sound about right?

TheSleeperandTheSpindle · 09/05/2017 08:27

Thanks titchy sometimes I still get a bit number blind and £50 is a lot of money to lose if I mess up Grin

domesticgoddesshaha · 09/05/2017 10:10

I'm tempted to do ladbrokes now while there is still football around to bet on.
I guess I'd have to make a fat deposit into the exchange to cover the liability though.
Might do it for the man utd game on Thurs if odds are ok.
Tonight I'm going to do a couple of signups and bet on the Madrid derby I think.
Didn't want to bet too far in advance, I reckon nearer the time probably looks more muggy. Hopefully.
I'm wondering what to bet on once footie season ends. I've put a few on weekend racing but I'm generally busy at the weekend and can't sit watching odds. Plus odds change so quickly in the hours before a race. Don't want to get caught by rule 4 either!!

Notsandwiches · 09/05/2017 10:17

I've been doing this for a couple of weeks but even with £200+ in Betfair I'm constantly waiting for matches to happen because i can't do sign ups cos Betfair money has been used. Is horse racing a better option from this respect?

RaynaJames · 09/05/2017 10:36

These threads are a god send!

Quick newbie question. My opening £5 bet on coral won and I had layed £5.18 at smarkets with 0.93 liability.
Smarkets balance was unaffected by the result. Is this because of the £10 free offer they do?

HeyRoly · 09/05/2017 11:24

Horse racing is a better option Not, purely because they happen daily and you can turn bets around much faster.

My opening £5 bet on coral won and I had layed £5.18 at smarkets with 0.93 liability

I think you're mixing up terminology there Rayna (easily done! You'll learn quickly though). What was the lay stake, the lay odds and the liability? It looks to me like the lay stake was £5.18 and the lay odds were 0.93, so what was the liability?

When your lay bet "loses" you lose your liability. The lay stake, which is not your money (it's another bettor's back bet, somewhere out there on the Internet) goes back to the person who made the bet, plus your liability as their winnings.

HeyRoly · 09/05/2017 11:26

Betfair question: when I check my balance the main wallet is £X but the "total available" is £5.00 higher. I can't for the life of me where this fiver is! I'm guessing it's a bonus of some description, maybe at Sportsbook? Does anybody else have this?

HeyRoly · 09/05/2017 11:29

Sorry for spamming the thread!

Just checked and it's not in bonuses, not in promotions, not in Sportsbook.

TheSleeperandTheSpindle · 09/05/2017 11:32

domestic that's the reason why I did the Ladbrokes one now, I wanted to get it out of the way while there's still football going on so I wasn't stuck doing horse races, the odds change so quickly Confused I also have most of my money in Betfair at the moment so can cover a bigger liability Smile

MaidOfStars · 09/05/2017 11:37

Is this because of the £10 free offer they do?

From their site:
Any loss you make up to £10 will be automatically refunded.
Once the bonus is credited to your account, losses will be refunded up to the bonus amount.

So I think you're right. You can lose up to £10 and it will keep refunding until you run out of bonus.

GinGeum · 09/05/2017 11:38

When does football stop?

SierraJensen · 09/05/2017 11:50

End of this month, I think Gin. I'm trying to transition into horses and hoping tennis might be good too!

GinGeum · 09/05/2017 11:55

Ah okay, thanks. I was hoping to do some more next week, so just checking football will still be on then!

imnottoofussed · 09/05/2017 12:21

comone emailed me about eurovision yesterday - not sure how on earth you do matched betting on eurovision so i'm steering clear for now!

RaynaJames · 09/05/2017 13:27

Thankyou HeyRoly/Maid I get it now after looking back at the actual bet. I lost 0.93p but seems this was covered by £10 bonus as balance remained the same

HollySykes · 09/05/2017 13:45

Yes I got the Eurovision email too, no idea how to proceed with that one.

FiveHoursSleep · 09/05/2017 13:45

Am I the only one who prefers horse racing? I can't work out what all the different markets for football mean!

HollySykes · 09/05/2017 13:53

See now I've said tha I've spotted Eurovision odds on WHill.

GrimDamnFanjo · 09/05/2017 15:26
