Btw I visited Betfair casino and got 10 free spins on the slots (although apparently you can win up to 30) and there's no wagering. So although I won pennies it goes straight into my exchange balance. I'd recommend you all have a look for that.

domesticgoddesshaha · 09/05/2017 17:11

heyroly was that part of the welcome
Offer? Or an existing customer thing?

HeyRoly · 09/05/2017 17:29

I've actually no idea! I don't recall Betfair telling me I had a Games bonus.

MaidOfStars · 09/05/2017 18:58

Blackjack is easy. Oddsmonkey have a table of all the potential card combos and how to play each.

SunshineDeLaSoul · 09/05/2017 19:09

Has anyone had an issue logging into smarkets? I am trying to join but the page won't open.

And does anyone know why I need to use smarkets rather than betfair for the betsafe offer?

Choconuts · 09/05/2017 19:25

Yes sunshine I can't access it on the laptop only on my phone. I've ended up downloading the smarkets app which is quite good.

OverthinkingSpartacus · 09/05/2017 20:19

Betfair are good for their free fivers here and there.
It's worth clicking on every heading and then promo as depending which part if the site you're viewing, the promos differ. It's usually only a. X1 wagering too.

I turned my fiver in exchange games to a £10 profit in my balance by either backing a hand I thought would win, or laying against one I thought unlikely, its worth having a guess as its a no risk fiver.

My free William hill scratch card didn't win me anything today, played the free £2 PaddyPower bingo got nowhere. Profit for today is £3 from a free five pound bet, £20 from slots offer and £10 from the grosnover casino new account offer. So just under £30 profit today so far.

Also have £21 cashback from topcashbackcashback as signed up to grosnover through there. Still have not heard anything about my claim for cashback from at least two sign ups with quidco from 23rd April, have put claim in but it's still processing, hasn't even been looked at yet so have given up hope of getting the money.

For those daunted by pulling out £50 for the Ladbrokes offer, if you go to their homepage directly they have a different sign up offer, it's bet £5 get £20 free bets. Less profit potential than the free £50 offer but might might not be as daunting. im thinking if giving their free £20 bets on golf a go, just need to have a proper read.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

Verticalvenetianblinds · 09/05/2017 20:52

Only £10 profit today. I'm questioning my future doing this today. I've done all the easy sign up offers and I cannot get my head round the accas despite a 1 2 1 oddsmonkey tutorial.
I go through down phases tho, I know that but just feel a bit stuck today

MissFitton · 09/05/2017 21:05

It's my month MB anniversary today and so far I've made £320 which, considering I was on holiday for a week and have only done 35 bets in total isn't too bad.

I'd really like to make £800-£1k a month but I don't think I'm going to be able to find the time. Mind you I've concentrated on the horses more this week and the turnaround is much faster.

sunnysidesucks · 09/05/2017 21:43

that's great MissFitton I can I join you making £800-£1k/month :)

How much time does everybody devote to this each day? Do you do it at the same time every day, or just as and when?

HeyRoly · 09/05/2017 21:57

I've had an eventful time with the Betvictor intro offer today. It's a qualifying bet of £10 and you get a free £10 regular bet / £10 in play bet / £10 acca bet (I really need to read up on accas) and £10 casino bonus.

I turned the £10 casino bonus into over £200 on the roulette, then lost the lost. The wagering was really high at x40 anyway.

I also placed an in play bet but noticed that they'd taken away the regular bet instead. I had to go on live chat and ask them to fix it, which they did.

GinGeum · 09/05/2017 22:00

So what is the reason people are a little cautious of horse racing? Is it more complicated? A faster turnaround is appealing, but not if it's tricky. I've only half got my head around football!

HeyRoly · 09/05/2017 22:05

I don't find it especially tricky, but often find that as the odds change so quickly, once you've decided on a race and calculated the lay stake etc, once you load up the exchange and find the listing, the odds have changed so you have to calculate again.

It's annoying, but doable. At least 50% of the time I end up ditching the bet and trying again later because the odds have changed and the potential bet is no longer as profitable.

imnottoofussed · 09/05/2017 22:14

I've done a few horse bets for the following days races. Closer to the time the odds change too much for me.

The only downside I've found is bet being cancelled because the horse doesn't run, I had this the other day and thought I was going mad and not placing a bet or a lay even though I had it on my spreadsheet.

Also odds dropping because another horse didn't run (rule 4) so your spreadsheets and calcs don't always work out if this happens.

imnottoofussed · 09/05/2017 22:17

I've had some good profits today. £22 from betsafe which won at exchange so don't need to wager the number of times. Also bettair games £5 bonus returned £8 on a card game.

Final free bet placed on a horse tomorrow for boyle sports then I need to do some more sign ups.

Just over £400 profit made in under 4 weeks.

I've been trying to stick to one sign up at once otherwise I'm losing track.

GinGeum · 09/05/2017 22:23

If I bet on a horse with certain odds, and then the odds change after the bet, does my bet still stand with the original odds? So if I bet on a horse with 4.5 odds, and it went down to 2.5 odds (say), would my profit change?

Sorry if that's a very obvious question!

MaidOfStars · 09/05/2017 22:28

Ladbrokes are doing £20 bet on Player's Championship golf winner, get £5 free bet each day of championship (Thurs-Sun). Anyone up for helping find a good qualifying match (golf isn't on Oddsmatcher).

Redactio · 09/05/2017 22:34

Gin:
So long as you don't select SP when placing your bet, the booky will pay out at the price offered when you placed your bet, although occasionally you might get lucky if they offer Best Odds Guaranteed and the SP is higher.

MaidOfStars · 09/05/2017 22:35

Maybe not. The shortest odds are 9 at Betfair, which puts liability at £125. That's a lot to tie up until Sunday, maybe not enough to even work through the free bets. Will have a think and come back tomorrow.

MaidOfStars · 09/05/2017 22:38

If I bet on a horse with certain odds, and then the odds change after the bet, does my bet still stand with the original odds? So if I bet on a horse with 4.5 odds, and it went down to 2.5 odds (say), would my profit change?
If you've done a straightforward bet, you have locked in those odds. Unless Rule 4 is applied for non-runners.

I bet at 7.5 last night at a guaranteed price (WH). Two horses dropped out but my odds at WH stayed the same. The odds at Betfair plummeted though Grin

Made 133% on my free bet Grin

HeyRoly · 09/05/2017 23:16

Do you tend not to place your back and lay bets at the same time then, Maid? You sometimes watch the exchange and hope that the odds drop?

GrimDamnFanjo · 09/05/2017 23:45

Maid I placed a bet on the favourite on ladbrokes and Smarkets. The match was ok this morning. I know nothing about golf so it's going to be a fun one...

louisejxxx · 10/05/2017 07:13

Have you guys had many reloads this week? I'd been holding out before signing up to a few more bookies (trying to spread my sign ups out a bit) but I've just had the one from William hill.

How often are you all mug betting? I haven't done much of it so that possibly explains the lack of reloads.
