Innottoofussed, I've just watched the same tutorial and will underlay it too. I font understand it really but will do as they say!

SunshineDeLaSoul · 08/05/2017 19:14

Limited, how do you know you've been gubbed?

SierraJensen · 08/05/2017 19:20

People are gubbed already by coral?! How is that even possible? I suppose it could be the oddsmonkey link. I've always gone directly. Or it could be something like your address or IP address have been registered before maybe?

Maid I've been using PayPal. Apparently skrill might out you as a matched better as it's relatively unknown in the UK. But you have to withdraw the same way you pay in, don't you?

HeyRoly · 08/05/2017 19:24

I'm amazed that Coral are gubbing people after one bet Shock

imnottoofussed · 08/05/2017 19:26

I thought I had been gubbed by coral, couldn't reset my password or log in. Turned out password resets were going to junk and i had a slightly different username to what I thought I had which is a bit odd. I went on live chat, he advised me to press the link for forgotten username then check my junk folder.

imnottoofussed · 08/05/2017 19:27

Sunshine I'll let you know how I get on with my underlay

TessTube · 08/05/2017 19:33

People have been gubbed Shock

How did you know, did you get an email?

neonrainbow · 08/05/2017 19:34

What happens when you get gubbed? Do they email you?

LimitedSedition · 08/05/2017 19:39

I swear, one bet. I think I failed by- only depositing £5, using the OM link and using skrill. I created an account this morning at about 11 and got a very polite email at about half four, stating that I'm not allowed any special offers, free bets or refunds. I have no previous accounts with coral at all. DP reckons it's the OM link that's been spotted :( lesson learned, at least it was my first account! My bet is still standing as I used my money, but I will have no free bet coming my way.

I am sulking a bit.

LimitedSedition · 08/05/2017 19:41

And here is the email-
*We wish to advise you that your account has recently been reviewed by our sports trading team and as a consequence your sports account is no longer eligible to receive any bonuses, price enhancements, free bet refunds or Best Odds Guaranteed concessions, effective immediately.

This restriction has been applied in accordance with our terms and conditions.

You are welcome to continue to bet on sports and enjoy the benefits of our Casino, Poker and Bingo products.*

SierraJensen · 08/05/2017 19:42

Maybe you could try using them for arbing at a later date? If you're gubbed already....

LimitedSedition · 08/05/2017 19:43

That's what I read in the OM forum, Sierra so I'm moving on and I'll get back on it later.

Still sulking though Grin

HeyRoly · 08/05/2017 19:55

I thought Oddsmonkey links were safe because they use Safe URL links. Will definitely have to avoid clicking on them, just in case.

LimitedSedition · 08/05/2017 20:00

I don't know, Roly, but my feet barely touched the floor there. I deposited my fiver at 11.19, gubbed at 17.27, I just checked the times on my emails.

TessTube · 08/05/2017 20:03

I think I've read somewhere that it might still look odd to go in via a link all the time - though I think it's masked.

Caveat - I know nothing on these matters. Like Jon Snow.

HollySykes · 08/05/2017 21:32

I think the links from oddsmonkey are safe but it looks dodgy to land straight in at a specific page and in some cases have your selected bet pre loaded. I don't use the links at all.

You lot seem to be moving faster than me, I've no idea about arbing, underplaying etc but will stick to slow and steady.

HeyRoly · 08/05/2017 21:36

Oh I'm not doubting you at all Limited. Actually, I think landing on a specific page instead of navigating from the homepage is probably a big red flag for a bookie. I use my phone and those direct links don't work anyway, so I'm always navigating from the homepage (and sometimes swearing because finding a specific event is so difficult sometimes!)

Don't worry Holly, I don't know what arbing or under/overlaying is for either!

HeyRoly · 08/05/2017 21:44

Just confused myself by logging into Betfair to find that one bet that should have been settled had vanished. No won/lost or anything. Then I logged into the bookie to find the bet had been voided due to "scratch" - which apparently means that the horse was withdrawn from the race.

I can only hope that the liability has been added back to the exchange then, because I've lost track of my total in there. I've had a few big bookie wins which has really depleted the kitty.

Now I just need to check that my free bet has been reissued, or whether it's been lost.

LimitedSedition · 08/05/2017 21:46

Roly, I feel like I should win some kind of prize Wink

No more links for me!

imnottoofussed · 08/05/2017 21:53

Same for me Roly all money was given back. It's the second one in two days that the horse hasn't run. I had a rule 4 earlier on the horses as well. I'm beginning to think I should stick to other sports.

domesticgoddesshaha · 08/05/2017 22:58

What's rule 4?

GardeningWithDynamite · 08/05/2017 23:30

Rule 4 is, I think, where the odds of your horse change if another horse in the same race is withdrawn (so your horse is now more likely to win because it has less competition). Messes with our balancing act at the exchange.

GardeningWithDynamite · 08/05/2017 23:32

support.skybet.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/13/~/horse-racing---rule-4-rules Rule 4 - according to sky bet

AmateurSwami · 08/05/2017 23:38

Urgh, one of my free bets had to be wagered so many times I think I've literally lost all profit. I know you love and learn, but I'm getting a bit bored of doing this, can't see how you can make very much long term. I was £240 up, paid for bank of bets membership for a year which was £100, I've made maybe another 20. Struggling to properly keep track because unless I go through every bet I've made so far, bank of bets won't be accurate. Just all annoying me at the mo.
