Yeah I remember that bot's husband prospected that poor Dubai man (who is a pool worker and probably cannot afford to lose money) while they were on the Great Leaders' Retreat and Indoctrination Cheerleading Camp.

Never not prospecting and recruiting

Sean1984 · 01/05/2017 11:59

Recruiting people at a swiming people on "holiday",omg these people really have no shame

8misskitty8 · 01/05/2017 12:04

One of my friends has started forever living. After maternity leave she resigned from her job in a hospital and started it. She said she left due to childcare costs. I know how much she earned a month and even after childcare fees coming completely off her wage alone instead of splitting with her husband she'd still be left with a good amount of money. Can't see how she'd make the amount that she earned through doing this aloe stuff. Whenever she has those event things only about 6 people like he posts.
Now she is posting all over Facebook. She can go months without messaging me normally but since she started it , she messages me all the time. Starts off normally and then turns into a big marketing speil about the stuff.
Her first 'live event ' I won something so I felt I should order something. It's really expensive and no different to other stuff.
I Googled it and the products are full of parabans which I try to avoid due to the question mark over links to cancer. Other companies are taking out parabans now.
Worst thing is the founder actually donates money to anti-gay rallys and towards stopping gay marriage etc. So effectively buying the stuff helps to pay for this ! My brother is gay so I find it really distasteful.

I just don't understand how she could be sucked into this.

Hello misskitty

A lot of us on these threads have had nearly identical experiences with a friend or a family member. When it happened to me I had no idea at all what an MLM was, I just noticed my friend posting constantly about FL and she seemed to change personality overnight. I did a bit of googling and found the Mumsnet thread on MLMs (I lurked on them from about thread 12) and I am so glad I did!!!

It's a murky world, in MLMs, and there are a shocking number of them. The 'successful' top recruiters have a lot to answer for. I am thankful to Timeless Vie and Botwatch too, for raising awareness.

SSDGM · 01/05/2017 14:01

Seen this? Salon Bot should be ashamed of herself. I cannot stand liars. Surely she's going against her own beloved company's compliance by posting about 6 figure incomes etc?

SSDGM Did I read that right - an admission that most Valentus Bots earn less than the amount they're blowing on products?

Somebody somewhere has screwed the pooch!

SSDGM · 01/05/2017 14:21

Yep! Exactly that!

cozietoesie · 01/05/2017 14:42

I wonder how long that particular statement will be included? Smile

Spongebobette · 01/05/2017 17:08

With Valentus, isn't there an auto ship? So bots can end up with lots of stock, be a triple cubit zirconia but not actually make any money?

But hey who cares when your upline makes a lovely congrats pic for FB with your name on and photos of cubit zirconias and tells everyone you've smashed it.

cozietoesie · 01/05/2017 17:11

Well actually, they'd lose money. Smile

Spongebobette · 01/05/2017 17:18

Yeah but the amazing title you get... and the FB recognition.... 😜

cozietoesie · 01/05/2017 17:26

Of course. Grin

ArbunneHun · 01/05/2017 18:56

What the hell is 'Structured Emerald' anyway???

cozietoesie · 01/05/2017 19:00

They seem to like jewel and precious metal descriptors. It's random after that. Grin

Supersoaryflappypigeon · 01/05/2017 19:52

Considering changing my username to "structured pigeon" or "quadruple pigeon" Grin

I wonder if salon bot actually earns as much as she implies?

Spongebobette · 01/05/2017 19:56

And they call them 'promotions'

Which you 'smash'

Gaaah

cozietoesie · 01/05/2017 20:05

Out of interest. (I think I may have mentioned this before but if so I've forgotten the answer.) Do these goods have BBE dates on them? (I'm wondering about the old stock held by people who have 'garage qualified'. Must they simply junk it?)

acatcalledjohn · 01/05/2017 20:14

Interesting question, cozie. Normally it's the little sign of the pot with the number of months, but I have thank fuck never seen an MLM product label up close.

Structured emerald gets me too Arbunne. Is there such a thing as an unstructured emerald? Reminds me of the Serious Fraud Squad - is there a Flippant Fraud Squad, or a Frivolous Fraud Squad? Convenience stores crack me up too. Have you ever shopped at an inconvenience store? What would such a place sell?

cozietoesie · 01/05/2017 20:26

I know that people are - frequently - a little 'lackadaisical' with health and beauty products but if you're laying out large amounts of ££££ for them.............. (Even if you're given them as a 'gift' or 'freebie'.)

SSDGM · 01/05/2017 21:17

So the "Diamonds" on "car plan" could probably just pay for a lease car for themselves instead?

The whole thing is Fucked. Up.

cozietoesie · 01/05/2017 21:24

You just need to think to yourself' with MLMs - 'Where is the money for this coming from?' It's not, after all, generating on the moors every night, from the action of moonlight on mist. Grin And it's not coming from the personal bank accounts of MLM corporate officers. Wink

It's either coming from the uplines themselves or from the peons. (Who can generally ill afford to lose even a quid or two.)

Supersoaryflappypigeon · 01/05/2017 21:24

My Herbalife bot just shared a post with that infuriating photo and I'm itching to reply Angry
