As the last thread is almost full, here is a nice fresh clean one.

In a nutshell, matched betting is a clever way of making ££££ from the bookies without ever having to gamble.

This is profit accumulator

This is odds monkey

Paddy power and betfair are the same company. For the sign up when you're doing your first bets and you need an exchange you'd be extremely unlucky to get gubbed but as an ongoing thing it's probably better to use one of the other exchanges. Smarkets is easy to navigate. They also only charge 2% commission. The colours are green to back a bet and blue to lay a bet. It comes up as "For" for green and "Against" for blue so the wording is slightly different. Other than that it's not hard. Oddsmonkey will take you to the correct page within smarkets too if you use their calculator.

DeleteOrDecay · 25/04/2017 16:36

Hmm Smarkets only charges 2% you say? Not a huge difference I suppose but then again if you do this long term it adds up! I might try them out on my next lot of bets.

OverthinkingSpartacus · 25/04/2017 16:46

Just looking at the Grosvenor offer, just wondering if the reason pp have not been offered this is because they've only joined online and don't qualify, it says on odds monkey and also grosnkver site you have to have eating membership with a local branch, unless you are an existing member of a local brick and mortar Grosvenor casino you won't be able to take advantage of the bet £5 get £20, you have to enter existing membership details when creating the online account so I doubt there's a way around it?

If you click on promotions they also have a free £20 no deposit required for members who have visited local branches.

The only current offer they have for non brick and mortar members is a bonus free £20 when you deposit, which probably works out the same anyway?

GardeningWithDynamite · 25/04/2017 16:57

Looks like they've just added some new training guides in the new account offers section (Grosvenor being one of them). Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to go to a branch to sign up so can't do it - too far and can't tie the 2yo up outside Grin

Verticalvenetianblinds · 25/04/2017 17:18

Yeah that's where I've gone wrong! Oh well, only 69p down:)

DangerousMouse · 25/04/2017 17:22

Has anyone done the initial free bets with BetVictor? It keeps saying that my bet isn't compatible with the offer, but I can't work out what is compatible..

Just the one for me today. Will set up more but I'm starting slowly, waiting for the money I have tied up to be released so I can do another one later. I'm more likely to go wrong if I have too much going on at onceGrin

Camperdine totally consumed with worry and have a squeaky bum every time I place a bet! I double check everything then check again. I was the same with you about liabilities, but have been watching and reading OddsMonkey, which settled my mind.
Currently just over £50 in profit (I think), but have a large pot in Betfair, although think I will move to Smarkets if commission is only 2%

So far I've signed up with 6 bookmakers.

Coral £10 profit.
Betfred £21 profit
SkyBet £7 profit
Sunbets £6 profit
William Hill £18 profit

Have rounded down and coral profit would have been £20 if I'd laid against all four £5 free bets but I fucked up...

I've just signed up for paddy power and placed my QB but am going to wait for my other stuff to settle before placing free bets as I might need to withdraw if win at bookmakers end and put into betfair for better liability pot. Free bets are valid for 30 days so I'm not gonna rush.

Has anyone used their free no deposit casino offer on paddy power?

Fluffycloudland77 · 25/04/2017 19:37

Why do you have to use free bet offers? Why can't you use your own money to bet with?.

titchy · 25/04/2017 19:40

Using your own money is gambling and you'll lose! Using their money means you'll win regardless of the outcome.

louisejxxx · 25/04/2017 19:49

For anyone that has done Betfred - did you get your free bet upto 48hrs after your qualifying bet was settled, or upto 48hrs after you made the qualifying bet?

HeyRoly · 25/04/2017 20:09

You won't have to wait for the bet to settle. Once you've placed it, that's your money spent so the free bet gets triggered. I think mine was there the next morning.

Chocolateteabag · 25/04/2017 20:15

Hello - can I join you? Started this at the weekend and have been reading the thread up to now.

I have gone through the free Oddsmonkey tutorials for Coral and Betfred and then gone over to TeamProfit. I have to say their facebook group is vv helpful as is their free excel tracker - does a lot of the calculations for laying bets for you. Would def recommend.

I am waiting for the Chelsea v Southampton match tonight to free up my float before carrying on

But I have a Q - has anyone gone onto Yahoo Fantasy Sport? As Topcashback have £40 cashback for them but I can't see what you have to do to get the cashback beyond register with them?

Chocolateteabag · 25/04/2017 20:16

Louise - up to 48 hours after placing the trigger bet, mine came through overnight though so about 12 hours

HappyAxolotl · 25/04/2017 21:02

DangerousMouse "Has anyone done the initial free bets with BetVictor? It keeps saying that my bet isn't compatible with the offer, but I can't work out what is compatible.."

I'm the same Mouse. It let me put one £10 bet on but I still have £30 left in the bonus funds and am getting the not compatible message for every one.

OverthinkingSpartacus · 25/04/2017 21:04

I'm still waiting for £26 cashback from quidco. Both the betfair and coral cashback offers didn't track so have had to out a claim in, which has been stuck at processing.

I also did the paddy power via quidco that's supposed to give you £25 cashback for signing up and betting £10 but again, it's not tracked so I'll have to put a claim in.

I dunno if this is a common thing with cashback sites, or just quidco, or if I've just been unlucky in that none of my purchases have registered? Kind of annoying as its £51 cashback in total...

DeleteOrDecay · 25/04/2017 21:21

I've been using Quidco for a few years now and have never had any problems. Maybe they are having issues in general at the moment?
