Lets keep monitoring these pesky MLMs, shining a light on their nefarious activities, and supporting bots who realise the truth and need support.

'In the United Kingdom, Arbonne had an average of 12,300 “Active” Arbonne Independent Consultants during 2014.** On a monthly basis, an average of 2,500 Arbonne Independent Consultants earned a commission cheque in 2014, or 20% of all UK Arbonne Independent Consultants. Because not all Arbonne Independent Consultants qualify to receive Earnings each month, these figures represent the average Earnings paid to the individuals who did.'

Thanks everyone. I had a quick Google after ArbunneHun replied and found the 2014 statement. That definitely told me all I needed. I earn more doing extras associated with my profession and also gain professional recognition for the effort - along with valuable insight to share in day-to-day practice.

Arbonne would be too much hard work and not worth the payback. I don't even think I'd use the products! Hardly an endorsement for a company of one of the team doesn't use the "stuff".

Thank you all for your help. FlowersGin

Blimey

I thought that table looked bad, but it's even worse when you read the other bit

cozietoesie · 24/04/2017 19:44

It gets worse and worse the more you study it.Smile No wonder MLMs are so chary about putting out such statements.

Spongebobette · 24/04/2017 20:48

Would absolutely love to see the Forever Living one. But not holding my breath

cozietoesie · 24/04/2017 20:50

I wouldn't, Sponge. Grin

Spongebobette · 24/04/2017 20:51

Yeah I'd be deaded

ArbunneHun · 24/04/2017 20:54

And remember with those AIS that all you see is what the company paid out. It is not profit. It does not tell you what the distributor spent on product or expenses. You can assume that barely anyone turned a profit.

ArbunneHun · 24/04/2017 20:58

On a different note, who has visited Plummy PersonLove's* new MLM 'coaching' page? It's alllllll about the 'female entrepreneurs' now and not the 'homemaking' blog.

*Not her actual name. Obviously.

Supersoaryflappypigeon · 24/04/2017 21:17

Which one is plummypersonlove? I'm still getting my head around the code names haha.

ArbunneHun · 24/04/2017 21:24

Erstwhile mildly famous lifestyle blogger who now schills Ariiiiiiiiix & has reinvented herself as a 'mentor'. If you follow TV, you'll notice a marked similarity to India Backe-Hander.

Supersoaryflappypigeon · 24/04/2017 21:30

I love TV-a bit obsessed with Dannniiiii's lives Grin
Will "pop on" over now Grin

Good evening! Got a bit dilema. My lovely ex-colleague has just stated on Facebook that he's starting up with Forever and inviting people to a webinar (because that's normal). He's got a baby due soon and is looking for extra cash. It's like watching a car crash.
The dilema is: do I reach out with a few Bot Watch links now and get deleted or wait until he seems a bit more aware of the down sides. The other alternative is to direct message his up line and tell her what a cow she is. She's easily identified as the only one who liked his post Hmm

Supersoaryflappypigeon · 24/04/2017 21:53

I'd message him now before they get the claws in too deep.

cozietoesie · 24/04/2017 21:53

Nanny

There's stuff to link to on Botwatch as you seem to know already. Can he afford to lose anything at all?

(I wouldn't go near his upline by the way.)

Toobusytowee · 24/04/2017 22:08

I think one of the reasons MLMs flourish is because of the reluctance of friends and families to tell the bots the truth. It is human nature to want them to be happy and not upset them. With everyone being quiet or trying to support them by buying products, the MLMs continue. We, as society need to stop the spread.

Although in reality we need to be considerate to our relationships and the consequences of upsetting people. MLMs rely on human nature for people to support them. And they rely on removing these societal norms in the bots to make them do things they would never have done before. It's all so sinister.

So Nanny, it is the right thing to do to tell your friend the truth. But we can't always do the right thing. You need to assess how much your friend needs to hear the truth and how much you value the friendship. It is very very complicated.

I stood by and watched my friend get taken by FL. I will never stand by again if other people I know start to become botted. But I may have become a little obsessed.

cozietoesie · 24/04/2017 22:10

I wouldn't stand by, Toobusy. You're not alone on that. Smile

NannyOggsKnickers · 24/04/2017 22:10

cozie probably not. It sounds like things are already a bit tight with them. I think I already knew that I should warn him. I just wanted get some advice before I barrel in there.

cozietoesie · 24/04/2017 22:14

Read Botwatch quickly first because it will likely not be easy. Best of luck though. Smile

BSintolerant · 24/04/2017 23:42

nannyogg - please sing the Hedgehog song! Please!

It's just as well that the hedgehog can never be buggered. The resulting eeeeeeeeeeeking would put a choir of bots to shame. Grin

I suppose you've got two choices. Tell your friend about the cult he's just joined; or, you can lie back and think of aloe.

NannyOggsKnickers · 25/04/2017 06:19

I much prefer ' A Wizard's staff has a knob on the end'. But you do know what they say about hedgehogs Wink

I sent him a message. Now to wait for him to reply or to be blocked. What fun!

BSintolerant · 25/04/2017 06:41

nannyogg! 😂😂

It'll be interesting to see what happens. Do let us all know.

BethanyBarleywater · 25/04/2017 07:01

Does Salon Bot still have the Salon? Her new website doesn't mention it except for an apprenticeship in hairdressing.

Supersoaryflappypigeon · 25/04/2017 07:22

I think she does, yes. She's posted about it recently. Does anyone else get the feeling MLM's are hiring her directly because of her "network"? She seems to get in early on all these schemes.

Spongebobette · 25/04/2017 09:26

Yes I think you are right about salon bot super

(Have you noticed that she's got various ailments, what a healthy lifestyle she must lead)

Same for the traitor FL bot who went to Arsliiiiix
