Kathysclown, I have encountered Rodan and Fields a few months ago.
I met a couple of women from Texas last year when we were all in Las Vegas. I was there at a conference and they were there accompanying their husbands at a concrete convention (sounds boring but hey, at least it isn't a scam!).
We were introduced by a mutual friend who lives in Vegas went running together along the strip early one morning.
They were both lovely. One of them was just opening up her own yoga studio and told all about the issues she'd had setting it up.
We all left Vegas and stayed in touch on Facebook. I eagerly followed the progress of the yoga lady and her studio thinking: 'good on her'.
She actually seems to be doing really well, the timetable is expanding and she is offering sessions at other locations now. Plus, her husband is a big cheese in concrete. Happy days.
Sooo, it was a complete shock to get a voicemail from her pitching Rodan and Fields to me and how it would be a wonderful opportunity for me to get in early in the UK.
She is pushing the MLM hard and I wonder if she is scaring away her yoga punters. I really just do not understand why she'd get involved with it.
She knows what I do for a living in the UK and that it is completely not like Rodan and Fields. She also knows I don't even wear make up or use skin products. So she must be approaching EVERY fucker on her friends list. Utter totally unnecessary desperation. Just why?!
Sorry. That was quite a missive. But cathartic!
