jesus their fuckwittage is astounding.

A friend of mine in England had coaching from a bona fide qualified business consultant seven years ago. He looked up this coach again recently because he wanted her advice on setting up a similar business in another country. On checking this coach's Facebook page for the first time in years he was horrified to discover that she has morphed into a shill for a cosmetics MLM. He couldn't get over it - thought she had more sense and told me there was no way he'd employ her as a business consultant again and nor would he recommend her to any of his colleagues and associates purely because of her involvement with network marketing.

Oh the stigma of MLM schemes.

Spongebobette · 30/12/2016 14:27

Utter fuckwittery

These are not 'small home businesses' FFS

Spongebobette · 30/12/2016 15:12

Omg have just seen that someone with exactly the same name as me is an 'Independent Scentsy Consultant'

Hope none of my friends think it's me. I like Diptyque and Montana and Jo Malone

George199 · 30/12/2016 22:27

I have seen a few MLM personages praising cosmic ordering lately. This made me re-watch the IT Crowd telly episode, where the boss gets a helicopter with wishy-thinking :)

akittencalledjesus · 30/12/2016 23:28

I had to Google this cosmic ordering lark.

Cosmic ordering is the name given to a version of positive thinking that was renamed by Bärbel Mohr of Munich, Germany. Mohr believed that a person can simply write down their wish list and wait for it to become reality.

So basically it's a glorified sense of entitlement?

FromIbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 31/12/2016 11:24

Wow I've just seen this Younique thread in Active threads!

It just goes to illustrate how ruthless, deceitful and desperate bots can be.

fitgirl26 · 31/12/2016 11:47

Just read that Younique thread! Bloody cheek! It was Younique that first got me curious about the workings of MLMs - a cousin of a friend friended me on FB and then suddenly I was added to a secret Younique makeup group. I removed myself quietly as I don't like being added to groups. She re-added me. I removed myself. She re-added me. I removed myself. She re-added me. I removed myself and unfriended her. Surely the first act of removing myself would have told her I'm not interested in her stupid makeup group?

Spongebobette · 31/12/2016 12:46

It really is a bloody cheek and that thread was shocking but not surprising, I think that bots are taught to seize every opportunity and never take no for an answer. That bot probably justifies her behaviour by convincing herself that once her friend had tried the product she'd love it.

cozietoesie · 31/12/2016 13:16

If she thinks about it at all in that way. 'Keep 'em busy, keep 'em tired, keep 'em hopping.' There's method in it.

Spongebobette · 31/12/2016 14:01

So easy for bots to create professional looking glossy 'posters' on their timelines, which give a veneer of respectability.
But then they make spelling mistakes on them which exposes the superficiality

One top bot is offering an amazing incentive trip to Amsterdam which includes 'accomodation'
(I had to type that 3 times as my phone wanted to autocorrect!)

Spongebobette · 31/12/2016 14:04

She is 'so excited'
All the comments from acolytes underneath express amazement and excitement and there's even an 'ekkkk'

Bloody hell

Spongebobette · 31/12/2016 14:18

Friend of a friend just posted this

Have I misunderstood? I thought that 'presenters' made money by signing up others and creating a 'downline'. Is Younique different?

Mmmm ... using a sprat to catch a mackerel is a sign of desperation sponge.

Cozie if only they'd get a good night's sleep, proper food, a real holiday or just a little time away from the bot cult to stop and think for themselves they might realise what a crock of shit they've been lured into.

cozietoesie · 31/12/2016 15:53

Just you try and 'run', Sponge. Grin Once you're sucked in to that big Obligation thing - the spratty hook - then you're sunk.

DontWannaBeObamasElf · 31/12/2016 16:09

sponge it's known as "KIT napping" Presenters don't earn anything off of sales of the kit and whoever buys it can just go inactive and never sell. Most people push it in the hope that they'll fall in love with the products and eventually sell it Hmm

I used to do Younique. I stopped because the products went downhill and I didn't feel right pushing products I stopped liking. It's immoral.

Spongebobette · 31/12/2016 16:26

I haven't liked the post or nuffink.

I hope I'm safe 😉

Flumpsnlumpsnstuff · 31/12/2016 17:04

Hi can you kind mnetter's help me, I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and the physio I've been seeing has recommended Arbourne? I haven't heard of this but am a little taken back at the prices and the coincidentally she sells it Hmm is this a MLM ? As she did mention I would benefit from a home based job ? Anyway I bought some vitamin C boosters and a ssl free relaxing bath lotion for £79 and I now think I may be a mug. Or she is being honest and I'm a cynic Blush

cozietoesie · 31/12/2016 17:34

Was she an NHS physio?

akittencalledjesus · 31/12/2016 17:44

It'll be Arbonne and it's vastly overpriced and without scientific proof. It's a pyramid scheme.

If an NHS physio I would complain to the trust she falls under as she'd be abusing her position of trust for her own financial gain, and giving the NHS a bad name. I'd also complain to whatever physio organisations she was part of (something you could do regardless of she was NHS or private)

She's playing a dangerous game.

darceybussell · 31/12/2016 17:47

Shock Flumps!! I rather think that is abusing her position! Yes Arbonne is an MLM. Did you actually like the stuff or did she tell you it would cure something?

akittencalledjesus · 31/12/2016 17:47

By the way, she's trying to recruit you.

I didn't even get to the end of the post and have just realised you've bought.

Absolutely & definitely complain, and don't be kind and reserved with it either. She's taken you for a complete mug.

Also ask to be referred to another physio as this one sees you as a cash cow, and won't have your best interests at heart.

I'm sorry. Flowers

fitgirl26 · 31/12/2016 18:45

I was so disappointed to find out that someone I admired immensely as an international fitness presenter has given up her whole fitness career to be an Arbonne Bot. The lure of the white Mercedes is strong.

FromIbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 31/12/2016 19:43

I'm confused by the Amsterdam trip ... it seems that my desperate wannabe bot who has #sackedtheboss, eats, breathes and sleeps FL (and is always brown-nosing the shill bot giving away this #amazingopportunity) doesn't appear to be tagged as one of the lucky ones despite being in her downline.

She must be gutted.

cozietoesie · 31/12/2016 20:01

Why is it white cars? I've never been able to understand that.

Annie65 · 31/12/2016 23:52
