Sorry, I can't post it properly, it popped up on my fb feed, Eric Worre.

CurlsandCurves · 25/12/2016 21:12

Apologies, I'm new here and so didn't know CAM, my condolences.

cozietoesie · 25/12/2016 21:38

Curls

She'd probably have been the first to laugh her head off, so don't worry. She was a regular poster here - from the Middle East - and died in her sleep at a young age leaving young children. It hit many of us hard.

GodlessDomestic1 · 26/12/2016 11:14

Would someone pm me Beauty Salon bot please? I follow these threads closely, have a couple of FL bot friends, Jamberry and Younique and have successfully avoided all purchasing / joining opportunities so far.

Spongebobette · 26/12/2016 21:21

Good god top bully survivor bot is relentless, posting a vid touting for business and recruiting today

BSintolerant · 26/12/2016 22:12

There's no peace for the wicked, eh Sponge! 😂😂

JamesStPatrick · 26/12/2016 22:16

Hello! New to the board but have a question... how would you reply to this? "MLM or direct marketing is a valid and successful business model with many companies listed on financial markets and regulated. What about Avon, Body shop, Jamie Oliver?"

On a FB mums' group where there's a bit of an MLM discussion going on.

Twunk · 26/12/2016 22:36

The MLM business model is exploitative by its very nature. Though it seems like an inexpensive way to get into business there are a number of inherent issues:

Firstly, they are all pyramid schemes with Byzantium-systems of reward and compensation that are always based on recruiting. Sales alone will make you minimal money, if at all.

99% of those that sign up lose money or make nothing. Many end up buying the products themselves in order to keep their status in the pyramid.

By necessity therefore you have to spend your entire life recruiting or selling. You are encouraged to approach everyone you know, and many people you don't because the money flows upwards to the top of this pyramid.

Owing to the oversupply of products and the lack of customers (there are I think 9000 Boots in the country selling a wide range of products and services, I think there are 30k+ people so far recruited to Forever Living alone) many of the products are sold on eBay for a percentage of the rrp. The markets are completely saturated with overpriced crap no one wants.

We have had a LOT of complaints about bullying, preferential treatment and harassment by the top bots.

In fact the culture is more like a "cult" - with brainwashing "training" and "success" days (that cost the bots money) that parade a bunch of "top bots" to "encourage" sales and recruitment.

To make any money at all bots have to spend many hours a week working, networking and selling - to make money well below the minimum wage. So even if they make £600 in a month in "bonuses" from that you have to take expenses - samples, delivery, petrol, website fees, personal use products, plus stuff you've bough to maintain your status.

Being constantly on the lookout for customers and victims recruits is exhausting and depressing. Friends avoid you, which gets you drawn in deeper with your "friends" in your MLM. This makes it even harder to leave.

There's more.,,,

Twunk · 26/12/2016 22:44

Oh and if you express reservations about an MLM you are "negative" and a hater. You're pissing on people's dreams. You are jealous.

It's very much a woman's issue - many are approached during maternity leave because it's known they are desperate not to return to work and leave their baby. The risk is understated - they are told they can start a business for £200 and can just sell in a few hours a week.

It's a lie.

Also (looking at FL, Herbalife, Juice+ but others too) the health claims they make are often illegal. The companies claim that they tell their pyramids not to make such claims but why on earth would you drink disgusting aloe Vera gel for no benefit? They must believe there is a benefit.

Spongebobette · 26/12/2016 23:04

Excellent response Twunk

The fact that the top bots are CONSTANTLY recruiting is a clue to how the money is made

PS Brace yourselves for a tidal wave of 'clean eating' health kick shite any day now

Annie65 · 26/12/2016 23:30

These "healthy cleanse/ coffee/ aloe starvation diets/ juice plus (better than fresh fruit and veg)shite are so dangerous. How often are they supposed to do them?????? Some people seem to always be doing them, it cannot be good for them. Ive noticed some of the comments on beauty salon bots status about the "miracle coffee" are complaining about bad headaches after drinking it. Some stupid person on there has replied " if the headache is really bad it means the coffee is working at its best". REALLY??? As Ive mentioned before, Ive started Slimming World and lost 11 pounds since 1st November. Probably put some on this week. Ive had no bad headaches, had some cravings, but thats about it. If you want to lose weight, a good healthy eating plan, loads of support and loads of will-power will do it. A couple of treats help too. Stupid, stupid people, they really do brass me off. Right, rant over huns.Angry

BSintolerant · 26/12/2016 23:31

Is the Jamie Oliver MLM still going?

Twunk · 27/12/2016 00:29

Jamie Oliver is an annoying twat

GodlessDomestic1 · 27/12/2016 08:12

Couldn't agree more - fat tongued mockney twat.

Thank you for the PMs - off to stalk BeautySalonBot.
