Hmm I see one of the topbot's brother has been selected to be an 'ambassdor' for FL 'forever2drive'. Roll up roll up and let us take your money for a special 'success day'

A family of shills now.

Spongebobette · 18/08/2016 21:10

Links here. Wonder what success day costs

I doubt it's free to ordinary adherents.

And I doubt the organisers lose money on them. Smile

www.facebook.com/forever2drive/?fref=ts I got this But I am fluent in Spanish if u guys ever need my translating skills Smile

Here's an interesting article about Advocare, owned by Charles Ragus, former top distributor with Herbalife and later Omnitrition. Advocare specialise in using sporting celebrities and teams in order to push their products, rather like FL teaming up with Corby Town FC.myfulltimejobathome.com/what-is-advocare-about-a-scam-a-pyramid-scheme

Mycats, that is a great article, thanks for sharing it.

gottaloveascamhun · 19/08/2016 14:41

Really interesting My Cats! Hadn't heard of Advocare before.

Tupperwarelid · 19/08/2016 18:34

Ooohhhh my FL bot has jumped ship via video but not mentioned her new company Hmm . One of the comments on the video is from the original ship jumper though

Jonsey32 · 19/08/2016 18:40

Aghhhhhh! I have had yet another friend request from someone who's clearly trawled my friends friend list and they are a juice plus idiot.
Looking at her profile she is on holiday in Spain at the moment - what a crap holiday where you have to spend your time doing that!!
What's the etiquette for telling them to get lost and not to be such a sad sack?!?!

keeptheaspidistra · 19/08/2016 21:28

How about "get lost and stop being such a sad sack"?!?

If you politely decline, they'll make a note to bug you in six months.
If you say it's not for you, they'll give you a thousand reasons why it is.
If you say you have health issues, they'll tell you it cures it.
If you say you can't afford it, they'll suggest you sign up to sell it.

Best bet is to press the block button

keeptheaspidistra · 19/08/2016 21:34

Or if your feeling brave send a friendly and polite message about how being contacted by strangers involved in direct selling makes you (and a whole heap of other people feel), offended, irritated etc.

thereisalwaysone · 19/08/2016 21:37

I always tell them I am already in a MLM and send a link to Timelessvie Grin Funny how rarely I hear from them again.

keeptheaspidistra · 19/08/2016 21:42

Lol always one
I think the juice plus strangers are the worst. Nothing like a randomer deciding you need to lose weight.

LunaLoveg00d · 19/08/2016 21:45

Have just seen via TimelessVie on twitter that the Blood Transfusion service have partnered with Herbalife to give away sachets of god knows what and some soya nut crap to blood donors. The NHS says this does not mean they are endorsing the products. Like hell it does. This is so inappropriate it is not true.

And I thought a Forever Living stand in Barclays was bad.

ForeverYazoonique · 19/08/2016 21:53

Exactly Luna - I expect the line will be "used by the NHS!" Or "endorsed by the NHS!"

Hmm
cozietoesie · 19/08/2016 22:02

They've had a relationship with the American Red Cross for some 10 years with regard to blood donation - I suspect they've segued from that to the NHS in the UK, possibly without the NHS realising what they've got themselves into.

Jonsey32 · 19/08/2016 22:16

keeptheaspidistra - I'm going with your suggestion! It's perfect!

keeptheaspidistra · 19/08/2016 22:35

jonsey I was trying to reply and say that I normally get rude and r a n t y but am having mahoosive autocorrect issues and my tablet wants me to write I get rude and Randy.

I definitely don't recommended getting rude and Randy

cozietoesie · 19/08/2016 23:28

My own autocorrect seems to be having thoughts of World Domination at the moment! Grin

Jonsey32 · 19/08/2016 23:39

keeptheaspidistra - oh how I miss the days of getting rude and randy! Blush

CommonSenseIsNotAllThatCommon · 20/08/2016 08:16

Has anyone heard anything about Vida Divina (who thinks up these wanky names?)?
My SIL has jumped from FL to juice plus to Vida Divina.

cozietoesie · 20/08/2016 11:47

Just did some work on them after your mention. Your SIL already has form for the MLM set up?

What is it with the precious stones and high value metals, by the way? (Been reading compensation plans.) Emerald and gold distributors etc. Smile

CommonSenseIsNotAllThatCommon · 20/08/2016 12:08

It makes them feel all special or something.
She constantly posts the #bossbabe memes and thinks if she gets in at the start she will make money.

I am a namechanger btw because I am fairly sure she knows my username. I have been on MN for years.

cozietoesie · 20/08/2016 12:57

To be fair - and you know my views on this - there might well be a few - a very few - people who will make some good money from MLMs if the organisation lasts. It never fails to surprise me, though, that such people don't seem to realise that these $$$$ have to come from somewhere. Money doesn't just self-generate out of the marsh mist overnight.

If you do make money therefore, and very very few people do, it's likely coming out of the purses of those who can probably not afford to lose it. (Those who 'fail' in the MLM business. - what's the average churn rate?) There's a strong issue of morality to my mind - in pretty well all aspects of the organisations.
