ForeverYazoonique · 13/07/2016 13:00

I'm too scared to look

cozietoesie · 13/07/2016 13:26

I worry about you sometimes, Forever. You've never been quite the same since you opened that banana milk shake. Grin

Wonderful game of MLM bingo happening on the hotel review post - grab your cards and join me in spectating! X

ForeverYazoonique · 13/07/2016 14:14

Where Eau?

EauDeParslaii · 13/07/2016 14:26

An LTW bot left a negative review on a Holiday Inn page for not letting them have their meeting there and calling it a pyramid scheme... The post now seems to have been deleted. Shame really, the bot made a couple of spectacular own goals and I nearly filled my bingo card! X

gottaloveascamhun · 13/07/2016 17:47

At the last soft play hell chamber I visited, I managed to bin all of the 'mummy please don't go to work today' flyers.
I've been at work today
Feeling rather refreshed. Both my children are in a moody grumpy phase. Would prefer not to be at home with them every day!

gottaloveascamhun · 13/07/2016 17:49

Holiday Inn conference room
Hardly the dizzying heights of business success, is it?

ForeverYazoonique · 13/07/2016 18:14

Well done Gotta!

Sterling work.

TFPsa · 14/07/2016 10:06

@ForeverYazoonique

thanks for that.

I only stumbled across this thread after being linked from AIBU, thankfully I'm fairly ignorant about the ins & outs of these schemes.

ForeverYazoonique · 14/07/2016 16:29

Eau if you go back to holiday inn again you might find people have returned for a second time

EauDeParslaii · 14/07/2016 16:45

I saw Grin I indulged in a spot of bingo before she deleted her post and comments again the nasty holiday inn people removed her bad reviews Wink x

ForeverYazoonique · 14/07/2016 18:29

Honestly, bots just aren't the caliber they once were Grin - no staying power

EauDeParslaii · 14/07/2016 18:49

Same bots, just less people tolerating their complete BS and seeing through the lies Wink and gradually becoming less afraid to speak out and fight back! woooo x

ForeverYazoonique · 14/07/2016 19:04

Seems like the FL camp are still being unpleasant to one of their previous managers. It's all very strange and a bit sinister. No idea what the whole story is though (yes I know I am being vague)

ForeverYazoonique · 14/07/2016 19:06

I do wonder how it's going for the FL Bots now? Are they managing to get all their CCs? Especially as, you know, they aren't supposed to use any health claims to peddle their Aloe and bee-related products. Hmm

IoraRua · 15/07/2016 10:26

Good morning everyone! What do you think of this article (though maybe you've seen it before)? It might be a helpful one for anyone being smarmed by a bot...I was reading along and counting how many of these companies fell flat on their arses.

www.truthinadvertising.org/pyramid-scheme-7-definitive-questions-ask/

IoraRua · 15/07/2016 10:29

Actually Forever I had a great row with a bot about that a while ago. She had a sad lack of understanding of what a claim is - and was peddling the "we have the top expert in aloe vera" (what a pathetic thing to say!) as her reason for saying it cured ibs and eczema. So I don't think it stops them, unsurprisingly.

cozietoesie · 15/07/2016 11:36

The 'organisation' is covered, though. It's those unwary adherents who might have made unsubstantiatable claims who will have their bare backsides hanging out over the gate when the chill wind blows.

Foreverfibbing · 15/07/2016 17:19

Just been over on Timelessvie and I see Herbalife has been majorly busted in the balls. On thing that did occur to me: Insert Forever, Juice+, and all the other MLM rackets in place of Herbalife, and it tells exactly the same story. If I was in one of those right now, I'd be worried. Very worried:

"Today, the FTC announced a $200 million settlement with Herbalife charging the company deceived consumers into believing they could earn substantial money selling diet, nutritional supplement, and personal care products. Herbalife claims that people who participate can expect to quit their jobs, earn thousands of dollars a month, make a career-level income, or even get rich. In reality, the overwhelming majority of distributors who pursue the business opportunity earn little or no money."

cozietoesie · 15/07/2016 17:37

A 'restructure' of their US operations forms part of the settlement, I see. I wonder how that will play out with other MLMs?

ForeverYazoonique · 15/07/2016 19:37

Interesting re herbal life. I will be looking to see how it plays out. No one will want to risk that sort of scrutiny, lawyers fees or the fine.

cozietoesie · 15/07/2016 19:58

Especially with 'other MLMs' looking critically at their operations I suspect. Smile
