#HumbleBot update...

HB has been adding FLP managers that HB doesn't know on FB for weeks ready to line up for the Grand Deflection to Ariiiix, hence why a top bot named and shamed HB and told FLP-ers not to accept any FB friend requests from HB.
HB is either being terminated or is leaving first, and if the latter is the case will be guaranteed turning it around to suit them somehow. HB will likely be making this announcement tomorrow.

I'll keep everyone posted as soon as my amazingly good authority updates me xx

Forgot to add. Tried to explain to FL person that their 'brand new Audi' is completely achievable as its only £300 a month leased. BUT YOU WILL NOT OWN IT and, should you not earn that £300 you will lose it. All these cars are 'affordable' so long as you don't factor in putting petrol in, or tax, or insurance. Hell. You could just about afford the repayments on something small with child benefit.... But there is so much more to it than that (I think I'm making my point badly. It isn't coming out well)

I also pointed out to earn national minimum wage you have to sell 6000 tubes of toothpaste. That's a lot of clean teeth. Tried to explain the analogy I saw of Holland and Barret which suggested if FL was part of it there would be 11 people in every store full time just selling aloe products.

It's all crazy.

cozietoesie · 11/07/2016 23:13

glue

Have a look at the BotWatch piece I linked to just upthread. That has individual MLMs' details in the body of the article. (And a lot more besides.)

cozietoesie · 11/07/2016 23:14

Gosh, Eau.

glueandstick · 11/07/2016 23:17

Will it make me angrier than I am?

cozietoesie · 11/07/2016 23:20

Possibly. But at least you'll be better informed. (There are also some useful resources linked in the piece which cover dealing with people who are already in MLMs.)

glueandstick · 11/07/2016 23:22

Shall do.

At the moment I just do the glazed eye look and change the subject. Something more substantial might help :)

cozietoesie · 11/07/2016 23:25

Perhaps not, though. Sometimes you have to pick your battles and decide to just be around.

glueandstick · 11/07/2016 23:45

Very interesting from the brief look.

I would be interested to know how many Jamberry people are in the UK and how much it costs to go to some of the conventions (not specifically Jamberry). Also, who pays/organises the branded clothing.

I can see this becoming a consuming interest of mine.

cozietoesie · 11/07/2016 23:52

Ah well. There's a great deal of material there to read when you have the time.

glueandstick · 11/07/2016 23:59

Thank you. It really is interesting. I hope some people listen to you lot- you give a huge amount of great info.

ForeverYazoonique · 12/07/2016 00:02

You will never get your life back glue Wink

We did ponder this quite a bit. The actual conventions seem to be around the £30-£40 mark. They're in the big cities so you must factor in travel and possibly a hotel stay. They're always at a weekend.

I have worked for a few companies - if there was anything like this it was expenses-paid and straight after work.

Toobusytowee · 12/07/2016 02:33

Is anyone awake and able to rip videos? I need a YouTube clip copying before I put it on the blog as I fear it will disappear as soon as I put it out there.

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 12/07/2016 08:25

Ooh so does this mean that LTW WERE in court yesterday?

MyCatsHateMLMtoo · 12/07/2016 09:11

Watching for updates about LTW with avid interest Grin.

Here is advice on fb from a high-up bot in response to the question "where can I find people to sign up?"

I cannot get past the suggestion to facilitate a friendship with someone in order to [when the time is right] sell them the MLM company. It is beyond disgusting. If any of you MLM people are reading this (and I know you are) how can you sleep at night? I wonder that one day, when you wake up from your bot-like trance, you will look back at the revolting things you did and said in order to make your CC's and promotions, and shudder with shame. You should Angry.

ForeverYazoonique · 12/07/2016 09:18

Well it's how con-artists work isn't it? Develop trust then go in for the kill.

glueandstick · 12/07/2016 09:30

Messages from old friends 'not caught up in ages' (yeah like 15 years!) the moment you have a baby, down on your luck or seen as a cash cow. These people are vile.

dickiedavisthunderthighs · 12/07/2016 10:13

I think it's what's called a long con isn't it? Imagine you think you've had a friend for two years and then you realise they've just been trying to recruit you the whole time?!

ForeverYazoonique · 12/07/2016 11:44

Sounds like the sort of thing cults do - you know, make friends with you, make you feel special and wanted #justsayin'

BSintolerant · 12/07/2016 14:00

As for the LTW winding up petition which was still in the court lists yesterday - that particular judge doesn't suffer fools gladly.

DollyTwat · 12/07/2016 15:38

The LTW Facebook page has gone

EauDeParslaii · 12/07/2016 16:11

Affirmative! Oh goodness x

ForeverYazoonique · 12/07/2016 16:27

Didn't that go a while ago?

TFPsa · 12/07/2016 17:25

I shouldn't really but have developed a morbid fascination with these hideous not-quite-technically-a-pyramid schemes, having briefly been bombarded with nonsense on FB before I blocked all of the offenders.

I'd be fascinated to know how many of the people who do it make any money at all. My instinct is that everyone from lowdown to moderately high up is pretty much certain to be losing money once the cost of buying suppliers, hiring venues, attending getaways, etc is taken into account? The ones close to the top, who are representing I suppose millionaire lifestyles, I'd guess that they're possibly pulling in the equivalent of a [moderately] good wage but are obliged to p1ss every last penny of this up the wall on short-term conspicuous consumption that they can post pictures of on FB?

ForeverYazoonique · 12/07/2016 19:08

Ok weirdly the thread I posted on about Younique has gone poof! Because OP not legit?
