You'll all have noticed, I'm sure, that signing somebody up to a major television etc supplier only gains you a 'one-off' pv credit? (On a 12 month contract term.)

I await further statements with interest. Smile

EauDeParslaii · 10/07/2016 11:36

Looking at the public posts of bots bragging about the sky deal, there's hardly any interest from people (surprise!) and people that do comment are querying it to F (eg "is this running of someone else's broadband", "I get all that with sky anyway and don't pay that much" etc etc). Quite amusing really!

cozietoesie · 10/07/2016 12:43

Reputationally, I think it was an ill-advised move by a major company. I would be surprised if it had been a decision taken at senior level. (If an unequivocal decision was taken at all.)

DollyTwat · 10/07/2016 13:10

LTW are saying it's all fiiiine:

not sure if you heard but we won't know until Monday what is what. It isn't a winding-up petition, but a company filing to have them wound up. The storey goes that LTW refused to pay a bill as they had a dispute with a perfume company over authenticity. Howeve,r this has now been resolved bills paid so LTW will continue. The article in the Gazette will be withdrawn. I am waiting until we get an e-mail from the CEO before I make a decision.

ForeverYazoonique · 10/07/2016 13:41

Well yes it's pretty bad show to let a dispute get to the point of a petition to wind-up a company, and to still not have it resolved 3 months after that petition. Smacks of poor management if you ask me. Well that's the most charitable I can be

cozietoesie · 10/07/2016 13:44

I should imagine that other suppliers (potential as well as actual) would be watching the situation most carefully.

Toobusytowee · 10/07/2016 19:43

Whilst investigating LTW and Sky this afternoon, I visited Sky's website. I was looking at Sky's packages and prices and ended up having a chat with one of their people. I almost signed up to Sky! I decided in the end I was better off with my current company.

If my investigations ever extend to looking at cake or chocolate products, I'm doomed! The Yazoo chat a while back had me reaching for chocolate milk.

cozietoesie · 10/07/2016 20:07

Oh they'll schmooze the tail off an elephant right enough. Grin

Sadly, once you've signed off with such companies, you go - almost instantaneously - from being 'glorious, amusing, beautiful Too' to being 'Toobusy, postcode, street number and 12 month contract'. No need for friendliness and warmth when you've done the dotted line bit.

EauDeParslaii · 10/07/2016 20:46

There is somebody going to the court tomorrow to see what happens re petition btw guys. Will keep an eye out through the day and update accordingly! X

Toobusytowee · 11/07/2016 03:35

That's great Eau! Our own court reporter. Do you think they can draw an image for us in pastels?

Toobusytowee · 11/07/2016 05:07

Why you are not an Independent Business Owner- botwatchblog.wordpress.com/2016/07/11/you-are-not-an-independent-business-owner/

Just a short blog post to get across my point!

MyCatsHateMLMtoo · 11/07/2016 09:28

That's brilliant, Too Smile. I have shared on my fb so that hopefully others will see it and share also.

smiinky · 11/07/2016 10:02

Its far worse than being a freelancer (which I am) . It's me that writes the contract for my clients and I can work with several people at once.

ForeverYazoonique · 11/07/2016 10:32

You huns are all so negative. It's an opportunity to empower yourself and other women. It's a means to become a millionaire! For just a few hundred hours a week and if your face fits and you are lottery-winning level lucky something something something. Oh and you must do business with the devil a large American company and make them squillions.

ForeverYazoonique · 11/07/2016 10:34

DON'T TOUCH THE YAZOO toobusy

Just don't Shock

EauDeParslaii · 11/07/2016 11:48

Okay so it's not actually on any of the Manchester court listings for today... Will investigate.

cozietoesie · 11/07/2016 12:02

They may have settled out of court in the last few days.

EauDeParslaii · 11/07/2016 12:15

That's what I'm thinking too! X

cozietoesie · 11/07/2016 12:19

Eau.

You finished off with a 'X' there.

Grin
EauDeParslaii · 11/07/2016 12:30

Haha!!
I was in a rush earlier :L hence the short reply :P sorry!
Xxxxx - am i forgiven Grin

cozietoesie · 11/07/2016 12:40

I thought you might have been drinking milk shake for a minute! Grin

DollyTwat · 11/07/2016 12:42

I think it's the end of LTW e en if they have settled. The DSA refusing them membership, this winding up petition plus all the bad stories about them has scared a lot of people

Unfortunately, there are lots more just like them. They'll probably just start again

cozietoesie · 11/07/2016 12:53

Settling out of court - which can be done at any time, I think - usually just means paying the bills plus 'other expenses' - although one of the parties may be required to make a public statement about the other. It depends on the deal.

It doesn't improve relationships though.

EauDeParslaii · 11/07/2016 13:17

DSA application rejected due to poaching - their excuse however is that a lot of their IBOs "did not understand what the meaning of poaching was" so LTW were reluctant to punish them. Also rejected due to many people reporting late delivery of goods to the DSA.
RE the winding down, same story trotted out about the outstanding invoice with the perfume supplier that's now been resolved. X

smiinky · 11/07/2016 13:58

So that's alright then. Keep firing out those emojis LTW bots! Emoji and positivity memes make everything legit and alright.
