You can be a 'global' anything you like.Smile

LeafTreeRaker · 11/05/2016 21:03

Godless: they ask people to pay them to get a tip, which will be a shitty FB message saying: Do what I do.

My bot's upline calls herself a lifestyle coach I believe, claiming to help people achieve financial freedom.

She still serves pints in a fucking pub to achieve her main income Hmm

Toobusytowee · 11/05/2016 21:17

Yes LeafTreeRaker, but she's 'on track' to be a multiple six-figure earner isn't she? Blimey people, work on your mindset and join the groupthink. All you have to do is believe and tune your vibrations and it will all be yours.

Spongebobette · 11/05/2016 21:25

It's absolutely extraordinary, the self hypnosis.

LeafTreeRaker · 11/05/2016 21:29

You'd get more sense out of the drunk punters that frequent her pub, I'm sure.

Twunk · 11/05/2016 21:35

According to tonight's #botwisdom a world without bitchiness would be so much better.

Yesterdays post from a zillion dollar cheque bot annoyed me. Encouraging people to never, never give up even if they are making naf all. It is so disheartening seeing all the comments below 'I was about to give up until I saw this post!'

Throwing away good money after bad.

Give it your all for 2-5 years.

and miss out on your child's early stage development and be a total cunt to those who care about you. They are just haterz.

I'd like to see that particular bot suddenly lose everything once FL collapses.

Dozyoldtwonk · 11/05/2016 22:25

My JP bot has just posted this little gem captioned "Shout to all you baby mammas! Our plans are based on the best quality nutrition and could help you beat:"

'Beat' a c-section? Confused

Moronic just doesn't cover it.

If people out there are actually falling for this shit, they're the ones that need help, and fast.

Twunk · 11/05/2016 22:27

Now I hate to play child-bingo but DS2 was premature and had IRDS.

Fuck you Juice Plus.

dozy It doesnt matter how many bots I see, how much research I do and how glaringly obvious the scam is, it still never fails to amaze and dissapoint me that fellow humans are susceptible to this total and utter bullshit!!! Even though I know why and how, its still hard to accept.

Mrshumblepants · 11/05/2016 22:42

I mean really? C'mon folks, how in the holy hell is ground up reconstituted turnip powder in a capsule going to beat a cesarean? 😠

Dozyoldtwonk · 11/05/2016 22:50

Mrs I thought I'd seen it all - I've got FL bots, Younique bots, JP bots peddling their shitty wares, fake lifestyles & endless done to death fake it til' you make it memes & lifestyle lies BUT this one takes the absolutely biscuit. I'm fuming at the thought anyone would subscribe to these shitty, worthless pills on the strength of a claim like that.

If it isn't illegal to post such claims, albeit with the words 'could', 'may' etc. (which presumably covers their arse as they aren't guaranteeing results), then it should be.

I am equally sick to death of these bots thinking they're running their own successful businesses, mentoring other people, coaching others to achieve their dreams, rocking their businesses etc. Etc. Etc. It makes a total mockery of genuine business owners / mentors / professionals who have worked hard for a career in their field. I make absolutely no apology for having this view.

Sorry, I have nothing more constructive or insightful to offer other than to conclude these schemes absolutely need to be stopped. This thread & all the associated links are doing a great job at raising awareness. I'm hoping for a backlash, and soon.

BSintolerant · 11/05/2016 22:51

seenthelight - Congratulations on #sackingtheupline!!

Will you be posting a photo of a very big plastic cheque showing how much money Forever Living have paid you for returning their wampum? That would be such a naughty, wicked thing to do, especially in such interesting times. Go on ... I dare you! Think of your upline's soaring blood pressure. Wink

BSintolerant · 11/05/2016 22:57

Bonjour 😂😂

That's hilarious! Did you find yourself sniggering to yourself and having to explain to someone why? Grin

I love the fact that the Sexy Rexy rose is pink - every gay wedding should have a big bouquet of Sexy Rexy roses.

A rose by any other name would smell of bullshit.

prettyusefulsometimes · 11/05/2016 23:01

Interesting developments! Love the idea of the big cheque BSintolerant - although I'm now worried about a truly innocent victim of the inevitable MLM downsizing ..... the giant cheque maker!! Sad

Have had another good laugh over a local selling page poster selling ....... toe magnets! They help you lose weight ..... she admits she doesn't know how they work. Nice pedicure in the picture though Smile

cozietoesie · 11/05/2016 23:27

I'm afraid I just had to look those up. Goodness.

BSintolerant · 11/05/2016 23:43

I suppose toe magnets aren't as passé as fridge magnets.

DoTheMLMHustle · 12/05/2016 00:07

Judging by the reviews fridge magnets might work better Grin

stopfaffing · 12/05/2016 07:00

Bov that fb message is very interesting. I wondered what prompted it and have been reading through the replies. It is clear that many people are struggling, feeling despondent, anxious and worried that what they've been doing so far "has not been working".

Now, however, having been given this wonderful injection of "success is just round the corner keep going" inspiration, they are freshly renewed with enthusiasm and will (for a while anyway) continue to line their upline's pocket by paying hand over fist for more products, training, events etc., and badgering friends, relatives and strangers. God, it's awful.

I wonder how many people would actually join FL if they had actually read this fb post, Bov. It is far from the "work 5-10 hours a week in your pj's while enjoying your baby and earn 6 figure income" type crap we usually see.

olafisking · 12/05/2016 07:36

Having looked at the FB page for the Jamberry party, it looks like my friends are hosting a party for a bot friend but aren't botted themselves. Might go along, I do love some nice nails and maybe there will be some freebies? Anyone want to sponsor me to ask a question in the group? I was thinking of 'do I need to bring any money? I love nails but money is tight with moving house' (which is true... no intention of spending £15 on some cheap nail stickers!). But a night out with wine would be fun if I can manage to rein in the sarcasm - happy to report back if I do!

Toobusytowee · 12/05/2016 07:45

A bit of clarification from Eyes re the £200 joining fee-

www.stephensons.co.uk/site/news_and_events/legal_articles/investment_fraud_legitimate_trading_scheme#.VzOGd4SLS1s

According to various lawyers, in the UK the 'initial investment' in any trading scheme is supposed to be limited to £200 during the first 7 days, yet you won't find this condition in the Trading Schemes Act of 1996, because its in the Trading Schemes Regulations of 1997. Yet the Trading Schemes Act of 1996, makes sign-up fees illegal.

www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1997/30/body/made?view=plain

The explanation of this regulation, is that it actually relates not to illegal sign up fees, but to the purchase of goods or services.

£200 liability limit

  1. A promoter of, or a participant in, a trading scheme shall not accept from a participant joining the trading scheme any payment or an undertaking to make a payment of any sum exceeding £200 unless 7 days have expired from the making of the agreement relating to goods or services supplied or to be supplied under that agreement to the participant by the promoter or any other participant under the trading scheme.
cozietoesie · 12/05/2016 07:52

As I said, it's not straightforward. Wink

I'd almost ignore the current legal side of it. (Almost.) Whatever any MLM does to obfuscate doesn't alter the basic way they operate.
